road to the hotel needs improvement

We needed to leave Jaisalmer one day earlier and the friendly manager allow us to cancel the second night. We ate for lunch at the restaurant, they have decent Indian dishes.

The condition of the facilities are poor and it is questionable how they got the 4* hotel rating. The hotel is a heritage style facilities, some of the decorations were very kitch. The room has a strong and distinct smell. We checked the other two rooms and they were the same. The room was quite dusty and the bed linen wasn't clean in some parts. The toilet was old and the enamel started to peel off. The pool water looks very murky, that the base of the pool is not visible. I'm not sure when was the last time the pool was cleaned.

Ambience was not good. Reception area need to be improved.

Courteous and efficient staff, good food, spacious room and spacious hotel.

The hotel was located in an industrial area. Facilities in the hotel need refurbishing.

Toiletries items were of very bad quality. There were bodyhairs over Bedsheet

Good staff. They were very helpful and considerate. Stay was comfortable and rooms were one of the best I've come across for the rates.
