Room was value for money, had breakfast at gingers which was very good
The room was way to hot, you couldn’t control the temperature it was unbearable. The wardrobe needs relocating so you can open and close the blind properly, other than that it was good

I booked The Embassy Hotel purely on price, since the hotels in the centre of Hull were quite expensive. Although on the outskirts, I did my research with the buses and found the public transport excellent.
There was no evening meal at the weekend and no places close. I walked two miles to find a restaurant the first night and ordered a takeaway on the second night. I think a guest needs a car to stay here. However, it was strange that the main door was locked and all the public areas were in darkness on an evening. I had a key card to enter the hotel by the side door. I missed the hustle and bustle of a regular hotel lobby, bar and lounge. But as they say; it is what it is.

The restaurant does great food at a reasonable price, Breakfast is excellent starting at 6am and allowing you to eat at a reasonable pace and not having to rush to get to work. Overall a great little find with excellent service.
There was nothing that I didn't like, the hotel is great value for money.

scaled my hand with the hot water tap because it comes out near boiling straight away.

bed was very uncomfortable not sure what the mattress was but killed my back.
room was quite cold even with window closed.
could hear a tv playing all night
power went off half way though shower and did not come back on (had to rinse down in sink)

reception was on a bar in their pub. room had a sink and was very dirty and cold. shared toilets were disgusting and in times of covid more measures could have been put in place.
two bath towels left on the spare bed were stuck together, I don’t need to elaborate but this was horrible.
beds were uncomfortable.
