Our entire experience with this property, owner, and housekeeper was top notch. They are responsive, attentive to detail, and have a LOVELY villa to offer. We have stayed in many holiday homes all across Europe and this one easily ranks among the best. We loved the villa and Mijas Pueblo and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. We hope all will take special care of this gem!

This is the fourth time staying here. We have been returning for the last 8-9 years or so. Absolutely love it. For the facilities and standard of the property, it’s reasonable priced. Very peaceful area and the property manager and owners are always happy to help. Five star and totally recommend cas albero!

From the very moment we arrived at the gated entrance, it was clear that this was going to be a luxury break! The house is high enough in the mountains to have the most amazing views, yet only a 10 minute car journey into the beautiful Mijas. The house is stunning, and extremely well equipped. The cinema room and games room were a big hit with my teenager and younger son, they were able to have fun whilst the grown ups relaxed with a glass of wine whilst taking in the fabulous views on one of the many outdoor seating areas. The pool is a great size, very clean, although a touch on the chilly side but it was only April so the solar panels aren't configured to heat the pool much until beginning of May. That didnt stop us Brits, once in it was fine 🤣. We decided against hiring a car as we've never driven on the right side of the road before, but it was never a problem as taxi hire is very easy and not too costly. We used an app called PideTaxi, which pinpointed our exact location, and we could do everything via the app, and have a taxi at the door within 15 mins. It cost between 9-11 euros into Mijas. Mijas is a picture perfect little town, very photogenic, with an amazing choice of eateries and things to visit. There is a small supermarket right by the taxi rank in Mijas, called Erosion, which we used quite a lot. We have never stayed somewhere more than once, but we certainly wouldn't hesitate to book again as it really was a perfect break for the whole family, in a perfect luxury villa. Thankyou!

The whole experience was wonderful. Communication from the owner was great and lots of helpful info given to us before our arrival. The villa is absolutely stunning with equally stunning views. We were met by Anna who showed us everything and was on hand should we have any queries. The villa is of an extremely high standard and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. We found it very central for visiting surrounding areas too but of course a car is essential. Just wish we could have stayed for longer !

We had a fantastic week in this fabulous villa. Our first day was not ideal with a forest fire very close by, but care taker Anna handled it all very well. The villa is very spacious and has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed the wonderfully shaded terraces, the music system, and of course the pool. Our sons had fun in the ‘diner’ playing pool and listening to a lot of golden oldies on the juke box. With Mijas and Fuengirola just a short drive away there was plenty of choice in restaurants. Wish we could have tried more! We would definitely recommend this villa and would love to visit again.

What a wonderful villa in a stunning location with incredible views. So much to do at the villa - lovely pool and patio area, comfy shady spots for reading, games room and even a cinema! Very well equipped and Anna (housekeeper) was on hand to answer any queries. Would highly recommend.

We spent two weeks in this beautiful house, it is very well equipped, the spaces inside and out are amazing, we didn't really go very far as the property was so lovely. Anna the property manager was very helpful indeed, we will be back

My Family stayed at this beautiful house over half term and we were completely overwhelmed by the Villa. The house is in a beautiful location and watching the sunset behind the mountains with a glass of wine quickly became my favourite part of the day. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. We loved the Sonos system as we have one ourselves and connected with ease. The cinema is unbelievable, it’s definitely going on the bucket list when we build a house. The pool could have been a touch warmer but that’s us just being picky, it was almost November to be fair. All in all we would highly recommend the villa, Bob & Denise are great hosts, quick to communicate and even organised some food for us as we had a late check in. Anna the housekeeper walked us through everything very comprehensively when we arrived and was always available if required but equally respectful of our privacy. Lovely time had by all. This is a great house, especially for people who want to spend some quality time in it, without bothering to go out (i.e. nice diner room with pool table, real movie theater with excellent sound). But if you are feeling like it, in 10 min drive there is Mijas Pueblo where you can find restaurants and small shops. One very positive remark about our hosts. Bob & Denise (with the great support from Ana) did their best in trying to make our vacations perfect. Specially when unexpected things happen, they were always there with a solution. We are really looking forward to visit this house again, hopefully soon.

This is a highly recommended stunning house, with fantastic views and super easy relaxing atmosphere with all the tick boxes needed for a relaxing holiday., super safe and secure. The house was better then expected, wow! Checking was super smooth and very helpful. Mijas restaurants and shops are a 5 mins drive away, beach 20 mins. The owner also made contact to welcome us, which was great. The only downside was we had to leave Once our holiday was done but we will be back for that chilled out relaxing holiday. The villa absolutely met our expectations. It’s in a lovely, quiet and picturesque location but doesn’t feel isolated. With the amount of space, the pool, the cinema room and the games room, there is plenty to do, if you don’t want to do the usual sight seeing at the moment. The WiFi speed was excellent, so helpful if you need to work while you are away. Our hosts were incredibly thoughtful and responsive and we had a great time.

We had a wonderful 8 nights at Bob and Denise's villa. It was exactly as described and the location was in a peaceful urbanisation a few minutes drive from Mijas. We couldn't believe how quiet it was, and the comfortable beds meant we all had brilliant night's sleep. The villa was very well equipped, with a particular highlight being the amazing cinema room and extensive collection of DVDs. The villa is so easily accessible from the airport and there are some lovely local trips. We would have no hesitation in recommending the villa. Bob and Denise were so helpful and responded straight away to any queries.

This was our second visit to the wonderful Casa Albero, and it won’t be the last. It was my mother’s first visit to Spain and she was delighted with the Villa. The facilities at Casa Albero are excellent with everything high quality, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, as well as practical. It is maintained beautifully by Sue and Elaine, who live locally and are only a phone call away to answer any questions, or sort out any problems. All communication is dealt with efficiently and quickly by Bob and Denise, and they make the whole process of booking the villa easy. There are so many great things to say about our stay at Casa Albero, but these are a few of our highlights. My husband and mother both like to sit in the shade, so a comfortable seating area with shady awning on the veranda was perfect for them, whilst we enjoyed the sun by the pool. This was a new seating area since our last visit, and for them it really enhanced their time at the villa. The cinema room was as popular as ever. We all enjoyed catching up with the latest block buster, as well as some older but well loved films from Bob’s eclectic selection of films - something for everyone. The American diner was great for young and old with its pool table, music and diner style seating, and my son and daughter loved this facility. The excellent, well equipped kitchen make preparing meals easy, and the villa has different comfortable places to eat both inside and outside the villa. My favourite time and place was the veranda in the early morning or late evening admiring the wonderful views of the mountains, beautiful sunsets and watching the odd gecko scuttle into the garden and listening to the sound of the cicadas. We have stayed in quite a few villa in different places but this was one of our favourites . Communication with Bob leading up to stay was excellent, met at villa shown around . Villa is very well equipped . Pool good size and plenty of shade around if you need it . 3 good size bedrooms all an suite and amazing cinema room and games room downstairs. You will need a car but we liked just being away in the hills and villa not overlooked . Will definitely be returning

Such a relaxing week. The villa and its amenities really added to our break. Apparently we need a cinema room at home now!

First things first, the pictures do not do this place justice; it really is spectacular. Casa Albero has everything you need for a holiday and then some. We spent a week here and would gladly have stayed for far longer. Travelling in June meant we enjoyed very long days, still having sunshine beyond 9pm on the terrace. Owing to this, we didn’t make use of the basement cinema room but having visited before can definitely vouch for its quality. We did use the games room a bit for playing some pool and listening to the jukebox. The gardens are well tended and I had a go at my Spanish with Mario the gardener. The swimming pool was a great way to cool off in the afternoons and I found a small floatation device in the garage which was the perfect size for a beer! Away from the house, the area is great. Mijas is a lovely little village with lots of winding roads away from the two main squares which are fun to explore. We tried a local restaurant called El Postillon which was a 10 minute drive. If you go on a Thursday they have a guitarist playing on the terrace which added to the atmos! Food and wine was pretty fab too. Further afield, we drove to the lakes at Guadalahorce and went for a hike around El Chorro. We don’t really have a head for heights but Caminito Del Rey would be good for anyone who does! All in all, Casa Albero is highly recommended and I’ve booked again already.

This is a fantastic villa: the location, the facilities, the view. The photos really do not do this place justice. We have stayed in many villas and this one has, without doubt, been the best. The experience leading up to our holiday was also excellent and totally hassle-free. Bob and Denise do a far better job than the actual villa rental companies we’ve used previously! They obviously care about the experience you have when renting from them and it shows. At the villa there are different external seating areas meaning there is always a shaded or sunny place to sit with a lovely view of the mountains. The pool is gorgeous. En suite bathrooms are all large. Kitchen is amazingly well stocked. The games room is perfect! The cinema room is amazing: my husband was very dismissive at first, thinking it was a gimmick, but on first use it was clear that this is the real deal, and we used it every night! It became his favourite part of the villa! Although there is a feeling of seclusion with Casa Albero, the villa is actually very easily accessible and it takes only a few minutes from the A-7/AP-7 up one road to find it. Mijas pueblo is only a few minutes away. What a beautiful place with plenty to see and do (and places to eat and drink!). Compared to villas we have rented in Nerja and Sotogrande, this one felt very well located and we found we could get to many other areas of Costa del Sol in a short time. However our favourite place to be was the actual villa, closely followed by Mijas pueblo. We used Helle Hollis for car rental, as recommended, and other than the chaos at Malaga airport when trying to get a courtesy bus, the Helle Hollis experience was good. We were able to get a discount via a code given to us by Bob and we also booked early enough to get the Early Bird discount - well worth it. They are not the cheapest but are way, way preferable to others like Goldcar, in our experience. This is the first villa we have rented where the entire family were unanimous in wanting to return. Thank you Bob and Denise for such great service and for letting us rent such a fabulous villa.

I have stayed here a few times and each time it is relaxing as the last. Property is set a short distance from mijas pueblo with stunning reviews across the valley. In the evening when sipping a gnt the mountains glow orange with the sunset. The villa is luxurious and equipped for a short or a long break with every creature comfort you want from a well equipped kitchen through to a cinema room. Did not use the pool as it was February but from previous visits it is lovely. Lots of places to see and eat nearby and further afield. A visit to the lakes is 40 minutes away and is a visit well worth making!

The photos and description on the site cannot do justice to this beautiful home. The owners have spared no expense in creating a relaxing and luxurious haven. The bedrooms are all large and light, and plenty of storage space for all your holiday clothes. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for all your catering needs – from a complex dinner to a relaxing brunch overlooking the pool and the hills beyond. The coffee machine is a delight! Everything was spotless and the interior design is bright and sophisticated. The swimming pool has a wonderful view and provides the perfect location for enjoying the sunshine or relaxing on the sunbeds. The lower courtyard couches are very comfortable for lounging with a coffee and a book or chatting over some snacks and wine. The games room provided hours of entertainment: we had a pool tournament with a great soundtrack provided by the fabulous 1950s Wallbox! And we felt very spoiled being able to enjoy some of our favourite films in the private cinema (with surround sound!) with a glass of wine (well, bottle…)!! Large supermarkets are a short drive away in Fuengirola for all your supplies. We stocked up at Carrefour, but there is also a Lidl and an El Corte Ingles. Mijas and Malaga are close by for day trips or meals out. We had a wonderful meal at El Postillon, which is about a 10minute drive away. The food was delicious and the service was great. We absolutely recommend this home for a fantastic holiday!

I was on a three night stay with my brother Bob and his wife Denise. He picked me up from the airport and was taken back to his home in Mijas. First impressions was "wow what a place", but after being given a guided tour, I was taken aback with what was on offer, three ample bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and toilets, a more than ample kitchen, dining area, a lounge, basement cinema room, games room all kept to a high standard and a Garage for two cars. I had a very pleasant stay with them and they made me feel more than welcome. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at their property that will not disappoint.

Reading the previous reviews, I was a little skeptical ..........it can’t be that good can it?………Wow, it really can! I can’t think of anything negative, accept we had to come home. Villa was spotless, beds were comfy, everything you could ever require (& more) was provided and the view was indeed spectacular. Thank you Bob & Denise for creating such a wonderful retreat. This was our second stay and Casa Albero and it still is as fantastic as before. The location is ideal and 5 minutes away from Mijas Pueblo which is a beautiful village on the edge of a mountain. The facilities are five star! I’m a keen cook and the kitchen is fully equipped. I loved the cinema room too! Elaine and Sue, who manage the property were fantastic and always available to help. From the decription and pictures we saw before we went we knew it was going to a lovely villa, but when we got there we relised it is so much more, words can't describe the quality and attention that has been applied to this fantastic villa both in the building of it in the 1st place and the fixtures and fitting within, the views are stunning, the size of the place is huge and what can I say about the Amercan dinner and cinema room, you will never find better facilities in a rental villa!! this place has definatly raised the bar on future holiday bookings, I think we will need to come back here for ever now as we will never find anything like it again. Bob & Denise were fantastic in the booking process and once we got there Elaine & Sue who were the caretakers were brilliant, explaining how everything worked (believe me you need it with the cinama setup) and being available during the stay if we had any further questions after the initial check in. Can't wait to book again.

This was to be our first holiday as a family renting a Villa. Family of 11 months to 79 years. We wasn’t sure what to expect but knew from the photos/info it was going to be great. However, we were blown away from the minute we arrived. We were met by two lovely ladies Elaine & Sue who look after the villa, they were very knowledgeable about the equipment and area and gave us lots of advice. Bob & Denise have put a lot of thought into what people enjoy and want from a holiday, the quality and style of the villa and its equipment is the best, no expense spared. From the music system to the Cinema and Games room. The ambiance of the area is a dream, we had fun filled days around the pools & gardens and relaxing evening BBQ’s eating on the terrace watching the sunsets over the luscious green Mountains. 100% tranquillity. 12 Euros in a taxi to the nearest village Mijas which is well worth a visit. Stayed here for 10 days to unwind after a very busy start to the year. This is my third trip and still find Casa Albero a great place to relax and enjoy Spain. The facilities are first rate and now count an outdoor Sonos system. Whilst the weather was mainly good there were a couple of days where I had to utilise the heating. This quickly provided some warmth. The views from the terrace over the valley ahead was beautiful and a great place to enjoy a Gin and Tonic. Mijas is just down the road where there are plenty of options to wine and dine if you do not want to cook for yourself. The coast is only 10-15 minutes away. Made great use of the cinema room and provides a great place to retire to in the evening.

I'd love not to leave this review so that not too many people know how wonderful Casa Albero is, but that would be unfair to the lovely owners, Bob & Denise, who really have created a dream home. We, and our 9 & 4 year old, had a truly fabulous holiday. The villa is in perfect condition, immensely spacious, private, beautifully furnished & finished with every convenience & mod con you could wish for. The current photos, especially of the main bedroom do not remotely do it justice. We were very lucky with the weather for what can be a dicey time of year (late Oct), but we enjoyed lots of sunshine & day temps in the late 20's/early 30's. It's 8mins into Mijas Pueblo, which is charming & scenic: we loved it & had several meals there. We would book a taxi in advance online with taximijas.en. Only 9 euros into Mijas meaning we could both enjoy more than a glass of wine & choose from the numerous restaurants. We particularly like the service and quality of food at Peccati Di Gola, along with a stunning view down to the coast. The staff are top notch. (Yes it's an Italian but for a casual dinner with 2 travel weary children it ticked all the boxes for the 1st night). Aroma Secret Garden was also lovely, more so for the setting than food. There are really too many positives to mention about Casa Albero, but some memory highlights: -sipping a G&T watching the sun set over the most beautiful mountain views -having a family diner & movie night :this is NOT a mediocre attempt at a home cinema: it's a proper cinema experience with reclining leather seats and incredible sound & picture quality -a morning cuppa from the quality coffee machine whilst lying in bed watching the sun rise over the mountains directly opposite -cooking up wonderful feasts in the superbly equipped kitchen whilst listening to the Sonos sound system & the sun streaming in via the balcony doors One minor note..... if like us you specifically filter your Owners Direct results to only include properties with pool heating, you may find it a little cool from Oct - May. Bob was completely honest from the outset in advising us to expect pool temps of 25 deg. In reality we didn't realise how cool that would be. Only the children could get in: us 'grown ups' had no chance! The good news is Bob is installing an insulated cover soon, so it's worth checking with him that it's had the desired effect! If you're booked to go : you lucky things! If you're thinking about booking - do it!!

We stayed at Casa Albero for a week in mid October. The property is exceptionally well presented and equipped with a fantastic kitchen dining area, superb bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. Views over the surrounding countryside are uninterrupted and the location on the edge of the development is very quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool,games room and home cinema were a great hit with the kids, providing all day entertainment. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone!
