The cottages are beautiful (if no water is coming inside), the location is good, restaurant is ok (don't order cappuccino!), but don’t expect any hospitality or smiles from this rude owner.

Dear travellers, We feel like we should share our experience at Bamboo Surf with you. By sharing this we will probably not receive our entitled refund from the owner George, but we take our loss. We booked 4 nights total (1 in garden cottage and 3 in beach cottage) but stayed only 2 nights since our beach cottage got flooded with water consistently. While we understand the weather cannot be controlled, water should not flood inside to the point you can’t walk around without your feet and belongings getting wet. When we brought up the flooding with the reception they seemed annoyed to help and pretended this never happens. Even though they reluctantly swept water out, it continued to flood again during the night. Because this is unacceptable we agreed with George to check out after 2 nights and get refunded after 90 days (review period of Booking) for the remaining 2 nights. Although we found this strange, since you are entitled to your refund whether you write a review or not (positive or negative) - we agreed on good faith. We then started reading other reviews on Booking and Google. Other people complained that they never got their refund back after 90 days, while George promised them. After this we reached out to George requesting he refund us within 5 days, even in exchange for not posting a ‘bad’ review. Despite us sharing our concerns and this offer, he stuck to ‘agreement = agreement’. George will probably react passive aggressively to this review (as he did to other bad reviews). He only cares about his good ratings (he particularly asks for 10/10 reviews to guest, and therefore has excellent ratings) and he doesn't care about his guests at all. This whole thing has honestly gotten completely and unnecessarily out of hand. It was just water in the room which shouldn’t happen and so we are entitled to the refund - but the manner in which George wants to go about it is inhospitable, upsetting and just not okay.

Location, the food and the crew amazing

Good location if you want a serene place (far away from touristy areas) and has a good beach front. Staff super friendly and attentive to your needs.

Wunderbar geführte und wunderschöne Unterkunft in Pacífico! Es gibt 2 Strandbungalows mit perfekter Sicht auf die Wellen und Surfer, weitere Bungalows sind im ruhig gelegenen Garten. Wir haben während unseres Aufenthaltes in beiden gewohnt - alle sind unglaublich gemütlich und zudem durchdacht ausgestattet und sauber. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Alles wichtige kann unproblematisch über die Unterkunft organisiert werden: Roller, Surfen usw. Der Besitzer und seine Frau, aber auch das gesamte Team sind sehr zuvorkommend und kümmern sich um jedes Anliegen!

The facility was nice, clean and enjoyed the room. The weather was raining, so I was not able to enjoy the beach.

There was only one thing I did not like about the place and that was the owner. I had breakfast before leaving the hotel, I ordered pancakes which were very dry and did not taste good at all. When I mentioned this to the owner he got super triggered and quickly told me to do him a favor and not order anymore food from his place. He then acted like a child and refused to talk with me about it. Something so simple to resolve he took deeply personal and was unable to function as a normal human being. Not sure why someone that can't deal with a little food criticism would be in the hospitality business. Other then him the place was nice. Oh, and don't order the pancakes, they are really bad!

On my third visit to Bamboo Beach Surf Resort, the experience surpassed my already high expectations! Opting for the garden cottages again, the proximity to the surf and the warm hospitality of George and MJ made it an unforgettable stay. These beachfront cottages are a must for anyone seeking a truly immersive experience.

The quality of food, thank you chef Jade, the secluded location, remained impressive, with the pasta dishes and pizza’s continuing to stand out. The local staff, while friendly, benefits from clear communication regarding your needs. Thank you Lyn.

Die Bungalows sind minimalistisch eingerichtet und sind vom Platz her großzügig geplant. Das Restaurant bietet ein gutes Frühstück an und zum Abendessen eine abwechslungsreiche Karte. Das Team und der Inhaber ist uns gegenüber immer hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend gewesen.

Wir fanden die Bungalows super schön. Wir hätten uns noch über einen kleinen Kühlschrank gefreut.

Owner (George & MJ) sowie Staff sind ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, Zimmer sind geräumig und schön eingerichtet, die Lage am Pacifico Beach ist perfekt zur Erkundung des ruhigen Nordens der Insel und für Surftrips an der Ostküste resp. Norden, Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert (grosse Portionen, super lecker!), Nächte sind ruhig für einen guten Schlaf Vielen Dank nochmals für die Einladung zum tollen Hotel Weihnachtsessen!

Ik heb een super leuke tijd gehad bij Bamboo Surf Beach! Super aardig/vriendelijk personeel die al je vragen beantwoorden.

De locatie in het rustige Pacifico, aan een hele mooie baai. Supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We werden uitgenodigd voor het kerstfeest van het personeel, wat een geweldige avond! De bungalows zijn nieuw, mooi ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Lyn is een supervrolijke, zingende, gastvrouw.

Af en toe jammer dat de bar en het restaurant om 19.00 sluiten.

Location ..right on the surf beach. Staff...lovely and very helpfull. Shout out to Miss Lyn. Accommodation...new and comfortable. Owner Boss....George the German. Friendly, talkative, and very helpful with travel tips. The staff will arrange anything want. Scooter, tours, airport transfers.

Das personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, hatte man einen Wunsch wurde er sofort versucht in die Tat umzusetzen. Selbst Wäsche konnte man dort günstig waschen lassen. Die Lage war für mich persönlich perfekt. Direkt am Meer ,einen der besten Surf Spots direkt vor der Tür und durch die Lage im Norden kaum von Touristen besucht. (So kommt man wenigstens mit der Natur und den einheimischen in Kontakt)

Es gab tatsächlich nichts auszusetzen

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Georg und seinem Team. Die Hütten sind sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Georg hat uns außerdem viele Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben. Auch das Essen hier können wir empfehlen:)

Traumhaftes kleines Resort im Norden von Siargao. Die Unterkunft grenzt direkt an den Pacifico Beach, die Zimmer sind sauber, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, die Küche ist fantastisch und mein persönliches Highlight waren das Personal und der freundliche Besitzer. Ich komme aufjedenfall wieder 🏄‍♂️😊

Tanto el personal como el dueño del hotel son súper amables y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites. Antes de llegar ya te dan indicaciones que ayudan si es la primera vez que viajas a la isla. Muy atentos en los detalles y en hacer que la estancia sea lo mejor posible. La habitación amplia, limpia y la ubicación al lado de la playa es genial!!!

Nuestra estancia en Bamboo ha sido realmente satisfactoria y inmejorable. Su personal nos recibió con una gran sonrisa la cual mantuvieron todos los días fuera la hora que fuera . Nos ayudaron en todo absolutamente todo lo que necesitamos . Tenían cerveza Estrella Gailicia!!!! Me encanto cuando la vi , aunque la red horse fue mi favorita allí jejej . Jorge es muy humano y servicial . Tuvimos un problema con el efectivo y él nos ayudó todo lo que pudo y me relajo bastante con sus atenciones y amor ! Gracias BAMBOO , estamos seguro que volveremos a filipinas y este será nuestro lugar ! ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of staying here at Bamboo Surf Hotel, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked through, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. :) Ate Len was really helpful! The combination of a beautiful and comfortable environment, outstanding service, and a convenient location makes it a good choice. It was a bit far from General Luna (tourist area) which is an hour's motorcycle ride. However, if you want to stay in a quiet, peaceful area on the island. San Isidro Bamboo Surf Hotel is a good choice.

The staff is amazing, took great care of us before the stay and during the stay. Recommended!

Made the right decision booking this resort. It has the homey beach vibes that offers comfort with good value for money. The kind of place to relax and rest for a busy person like me, who wants to just commune with nature and connect with various types of people. The crew are very courteous and friendly. George and MJ are very warmth to talk to.. All my requests were attended. No complaints and highly recommended. They always make sure I am comfortable and being attended to. The room is clean and conducive for couples or groups. The area is best for surfing activities. The best thing I love about my stay is the easy access to the beach facing the pacific ocean and the nearby best beaches are just also in close proximity like the magpupungko rock pools and pasicon beach. The food and drinks are all good. You may also make personal requests and the staff will make it happen. Try the chicken mango curry(it’s so good)! Wifi is strong along the restobar area, up until my room; and was able to do some online work stuff :)

Few points for suggestion since I want this resort to reach it fullest potential. I look forward to my next stay hopefully the toilet will have its bidet already. :)
