We stayed a week in this cottage and totally loved it. The view is magnificent. The cottage is spotless. It is cozy and comfortable and quiet. Brenda was promptly responsive to my questions and requests. Highly recommend.

The cottage is wonderful! Everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Full size fridge, washer & dryer, spacious living room with two huge picture windows looking out at the sea. Very quiet area, and close to so many points of interest.

We had a great stay. Cottage is perfect and quiet. This year we did more relaxing rather than sight seeing, which was good. Missed the Owelshead truck show and Blues Festival weekend but it still was nice. Ate too much, for sure. Already looking forward to next year.

There’s a nicely landscaped back yard that leads to the shore, comfy beds, and if you wish to leave the property you are 7 minutes from Rockland downtown.

This cottage was amazing - had all the essential amenities - and the view of the bay was worth the price of admission - lots of birds around the waters edge and in the bay - location was convenient for day trip to Acadia - several lighthouses in the immediate area - would give it the max stars

The stay was all we wished for..clean, furnished with all you could ever need, awesome view including a loon that hung around near shore all week. Highly recommend this place for sort or long stay.

Overall very wonderful stay, but there were planes coming and going from airport nearby that was loud and unexpected but not awful. Well equipped kitchen and very clean! Would have loved a lounge chair in back but these are minor issues. Thank for sharing your bit of Maine with us!! Rockland which is not far had a lot going on so rain experienced just had us doing museums and exploring vs playing in the water and walking along the rocky shore.

We went up to visit family in the area and had a wonderful time just enjoying the view, both from the living area and yard. We also went swimming at the nearby beaches (one of which you can see from the house). My one suggestion to the host is that I’d have loved a hammock or some sort of outdoor lounge chair.

We could not have enjoyed our stay at this property more. It is cozy, comfortable, well equipped, and clean as a whistle. The view is mesmerizing, and the host is wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you are touring the area. You won't be sorry.

This cottage was just right for the two of us. The views were spectacular- we saw a couple of seals and were able to watch the tide come in. The house is well equipped. There were even coffee pods to get you started on day 1. This was a quiet spot, easy to get to and close enough to town for quick easy trips. We loved our getaway- we highly recommend a stay here.

We LOVED our stay at Owls Head. The property was beautiful, very clean and cozy. It was wonderful as a base place to stay. So many interesting places to go, which we did as half day trips. And after the hustle and bustle of being around others…it was SO WONDERFUL to come back and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Maine coast. And a great way to start the day, sitting out front and watching the sun come up. Gorgeous view!

A perfect accommodation for anyone desiring beautiful and tranquil surroundings, The owners take great pride in providing a top-notch stay for their guests. All the comforts of home are provided and Brenda made sure everything was going well during our stay. The beds and bedding were awesome and with bad back issues, they were most appreciated!
As we left, my husband said, “Sometimes you’re anxious to get home after the vacation, and other times it is hard saying goodbye-bye to a spot.” This is definitely the case with this gem!

Cozy cabin with amazing water view
My husband and I enjoyed July 4th weekend at the cabin in Owl’s Head. It’s a wonderful location—lots to do and see, great restaurants, shops, etc. The cabin is terrific-the photos don’t quite do it justice! Brenda was very responsive when we had questions. We will be back!

My husband and I spent three nights here. The location on the water cannot be beat. House is cute as a button with everything you need. Cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Brenda was very communicative and easy to interact with.

Perfect for us!
First, our host Brenda was so helpful and willing to please. Couldn’t ask for better. We have stayed in many coastal cottages in our 55 year marriage, this has the most picturesque view of sunrise and moon rise we have ever experienced. Loved watching the wildlife and fishing boats too!

Great place!!
This little cottage on the ocean's shore was perfect for my wife and I! We simply needed a nice little spot to hang out when we were not out sight seeing, and this provided that perfectly. The price was very reasonable for what it is, and where it is, and that location allowed us to use it like a "home base" for a few days...versus staying at a resort for 3x as much. The owner was quick to respond with any questions we had.

Comfortable and relaxing
Our third amazing trip this year did not disappoint. Loved playing Rummy and eating our meals on the little table as we watched the boats, birds and even a barge as it replenished a nearby area. Appreciated the additions of Spectrum and the new door lock. Many thanks for making our visits feel like home and for furnishing many unexpected kitchen basics. Must admit we became spoiled and missed the treat of ironed sheets and pillow cases on our last visit. Hope to see you again next year!

No fault of the owner but not what I expected.
The house is truly lovely, but there are things that could make it easier on travelers.
If there was a list of restaurants and things to do, that would be very helpful.
The bedding had a very strong aroma. Perhaps using unscented
detergent/softeners would help. (We both have allergies so this was an issue.)
Directions on how to use the TVs would be great.
The cleaning supplies under the sink were confusing. We needed a scrubber to clean a baking dish but weren't sure if the one there was for dishes or floors. Maybe a little more organization there would help.
We both love to cook. The kitchen could use a good sized chef's knife. Perhaps a few basic spices ... It doesn't have to be much - garlic powder, onion powder, basil, oregano, cinnamon, chili powder - basics. It's not easy to pack fridge items like ketchup and mustard so keeping some on hand would be GREAT.

Four nights in an idyllic setting
The setting for the house we stayed in on Penobscot Bay was incredible. There are water views from every room and the view from the living room windows is just enchanting. The house is small, but the perfect size for two people. Everything was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking accessories. Everything was clean and I especially appreciated Barbara's timely replies to all my questions. We loved the quiet setting (except for the airplanes, which we got used to), but also appreciated being so close to Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. I would happily come again.
