Family and Biker Friendly Finca in the middle of Alaró

The property is beautiful & was a delight to stay at. Although we did have two big issues: 1). There were NO instruction how to access this property and the address does not show up on any maps? We came straight from airport and our contact Neomi was in school when we arrived, so she sent her aunt Elena who does not have a car, cell phone & did not speak English. Elena tried her best to get us to the house (we had to find her on the closed street, only thing we were told is that she had a pink shirt & a green umbrella)? It was not disclosed to us that that the entire road in front of the Finca was completely torn up, closed and barricaded, (and had been that way for months). Host needs to provide a map on how to get to back entrance gate. This was not provided and caused a lot of stress for 8 people & two vehicles. 2). Upon arrival (once we finally were able to access, Finca from back entrance and many difficult & tight turns to get there). This took several hours and lots of frustration) we discovered on our 1st night that there was no hot water, and no one wanted a cold shower. The next day a plumber was contacted and we had ONE night of hot water. With two nights remaining the hot water went out again on our 3rd day but this time without repair. 8 guest received one night only of hot water. This was upsetting to all and host simply apologized and did not offer any compensation for this inconvenience. Again, a very spacious, clean and lovely property. We made the best of it yet frustrations ran very high for all due to problems with access and no hot water hence the 3 star rating. Thank you

We had a fantastic 10 days here with a family group of 9 people, from 4 to 62. The villa was cared for to a very high standard and was well equipped with everything we would need. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the gardener did an excellent job of caring for the large garden and maintaining the pool.
The rear parking is difficult to access with a family sized car, however if you are coming with a smaller car there is plenty of private parking available. We were able to park easily elsewhere, just a minute or two walk away.
We would most certainly look forward to booking here again.

Very lovely villa with gorgeous outdoor space. A/C made a huge difference in upstairs room. Kitchen well kitted out and help from gardener appreciated about rubbish collections etc.
Very good communications from the property manager and the lady who welcomed us. The swimming pool and grounds are stunning and Alaro is such a lovely town to be in - everyone so friendly and welcoming.

I can only repeat what others have said. This place is truly amazing. The wonderful photos on the listing hardly prepare you for the surprise of stepping through the front door from the narrow street and glimpsing the stunning pool and beautiful, well-equipped grounds beyond. People have mentioned there is no central aircon, but actually there’s a very efficient unit as you enter the kitchen/dining room which keeps the ground floor very cool. Patricia also provided some extra fans for the downstairs bedrooms, which were much appreciated as it was really hot. There was the added bonus of a piano which delighted my musician son. Our family of 7 adults, a 5 year old and a baby were all so relaxed we had no desire to move from the pool and my little grandson learnt to swim. Alaro also exceeded our expectations. It’s a great place to be if you want to avoid the throngs of tourists. We had great fun dancing with the locals in the square on Sunday night. One thing to mention is that the road outside the Finca is currently closed to vehicles for roadworks. We were not given instructions for finding the parking entrance or how to access it (it needs an electronic key) so future guests should make sure they have this information before arrival as it’s down a very narrow, winding passageway and is not easy to find. Overall, this is one of the nicest places I have had the privilege to stay in and I very much hope to return.

As mentioned by a previous review this property exceeded expectations. It is a delightful large traditional family house in a small village with hidden surprises such as the frog park! Beautiful pool, gardens and orchard. We felt privileged to be able to share this home with its owners

After a 14 month postponement we eventually made it back to Alaro for our third holiday in this wonderful finca. We would normally arrive at the end if June but because of covid restrictions we arrived at the end of August. The temperatures were good and not too hot although we did have some thunderstorms. The location of the finca is perfect for restaurants and shops yet in a quiet area of Alaro. One of our favourite places is the small neighbourhood of Los Damunt with it's wonderful plaza with restaurant and bar. However the finca is so well equipped and the pool so inviting that apart from shopping you need never go outside. We will be back to Alaro next year for the sixth time.

We had a party of 8 (4 adults, 4 children), and stayed for several nights. The comment each of the adults made was that the villa is much nicer than the pictures online!
The kids had a wonderful time playing in the huge pool (with expansive steps and shallower area for toddlers), and the expansive garden. There is not central air conditioning, but the bedrooms have air con. It worked well enough for all of us, despite the temperatures of 39C/101F.
The villa was in the center of Alaro, which is a small town, but several good dining options and bars - perfect for our short stay. Thank you!

We had a great stay in the house with 10 people. The pool, outside area and interior of the house are unique and a gem. I can only recommend a stay, the communication and check in went very smooth and the place is like an oasis, surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains. Thanks for this great holiday, Patricia.

Fantastic property in great location for shops and bars yet situated far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Plenty of poolside chairs and umbrellas and great outdoor eating area. Although we could have done with more shade when eating at lunchtime as the temperature was around 37 degrees. The pool is big and safe for children with steps at the shallow end. We were a party of ten including two young grandchildren who loved the pool. We hope to be back next year.

We booked this for our extended family at the end of August. Beautiful setting and superb pool. The house itself was in need of some TLC and could be improved tremendously with just a few adjustments - tiles replaced in showers - air con in the downstairs bedrooms - information about the area - few extra towels - electricity staying on for 24 hours.
The lady that oversaw it was very helpful and accommodating.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it beautiful setting and good restaurants in the village that we could walk to - coast and main shopping areas were some way off.

My family and friends had a fantastic stay here last week. The finca is absolutely beautiful and the pictures really don’t do it justice. Inside is spacious, clean and authentic, and the outside pool area is just stunning! Don’t hesitate to book...it’s a real hidden gem and we hope to return next year.

We’ve stayed at this beautiful finca twice now, first with a group of friends and last time with family, and this place is just perfect for either. The house is spacious and has everything you need, but the outside areas are a real surprise with the huge garden. The town of Alaro is a nice quiet little place, with the main square and plenty of bars and restaurants just a minute’s walk from the house. It’s a great place to stay if you want to be somewhere quiet and picturesque, but it’s an easy drive to anywhere else you might want to go on the island. The only slight downside is that the house itself is starting to feel a little tired inside, with a few maintenance niggles that could do with being attended to. But that doesn’t spoil a really lovely place to stay.

We we all very impressed with the Finca and its location. We couldn't have wished for more. We are hoping to return as the accommodation is first class, facilities spot on and the location suited us perfectly, a short walk to the town square and some very good restaurants. Our hostess Gabriele was charming and could not have done more for us. A wonderful experience all round.
