Lovely little holiday apartment in a great location. This is quite a small, compact apartment, but it was absolutely fine for my partner and I and our two children (ages 10 and 7). It was beautifully kept, and very clean and tidy - the photos don't do it justice! The shared pool is great and is just a very short walk away. The apartment is in a great location in La Flotte which is a beautiful village with lots of restaurants and shops - lovely to wander to in the evening for dinner or first thing in the morning to visit the market and get supplies for a day out on the bikes! Annabel's parents met us and they were lovely - we can only apologise for our poor French! Overall we had a fabulous holiday on the Ile de Re cycling between beautiful French villages and beaches and back to a great apartment. Only suggestions for the apartment are to provide towels as it's quite a lot to bring both bathroom towels and beach/pool towels. We also couldn't connect to the wifi as the code was so long and complicated. A bit of information about good places to eat etc would also be beneficial. We were also asked whether we wanted to pay 40 Euros for Annabel's parents to clean the apartment. We declined as I felt that this cost should have been included in the price we paid via Vrbo.

Had a great stay in this little property as a family of 4. It was very clean and modern, the kitchen is small but good quality appliances and kitchen wear. This is maintained throughout the property. The complex is peaceful and relaxing and the pool is fantastic, and very quiet when we stayed. La Flotte is an amazing place to be located on the island, not as busy as St Martin but perfect level of bustle and relaxation. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, despite our lack of French language! Couldn’t have hoped for a better holiday, this was our second visit to Ile de Re and even better than our first. We will return….

Chic apartment in a great location in il de re. Swimming pool and small park great for the kids and they had lots of freedom. Great base to explore the island. Compact apartment was good for a family of four. No complaints but a bbq and kettle would be a valuable addition. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely weekend in La Flotte. The cottage was bright, clean and nicely furnished and the late check out was a wonderful bonus. Our flight was very late but the owner’s parents were waiting to welcome us when we arrived. The complex itself appeared a little rundown in places but nothing that a coat of paint and some gardening wouldn’t fix and my daughter loved the large swimming pool. A fan in the second bedroom would be a good idea as there is a little too much road noise to leave the window open early evening. La Flotte is a perfect place to stay and an easy walk from the cottage.
