Detached villa with private pool and great panoramic views!!
Die Villa liegt nahe vom charmanten Dorf Montecchio entfernt in einer hügeligen Lage mit herrlichem Panoramablick. Von der Villa aus haben Sie einen Panoramablick auf das Tibertal. Das gesamte Anwesen steht dem Mieter zur privaten/ausschließlichen Nutzung zur Verfügung (Haus-Pool-Garten werden nicht mit anderen Personen geteilt). Das Anwesen verfügt über einen eigenen Garten (komplett eingezäunt) mit einem Swimmingpool (10 x 3,5 Meter). Der Poolbereich ist mit einem Pavillon, Sonnenschirmen und Liegestühlen ausgestattet. Es stehen auch Tischfußball und Tischtennis zur Verfügung. Die Villa ist geeignet für bis zu 10/11 Erwachsene + 1 oder 2 Kinder. Es gibt 5 Schlafzimmer, zwei mit Doppelbett und drei mit 2 Einzelbetten (eines hat auch ein Doppelschlafsofa). Babybett und Hochstuhl vorhanden. Vor dem Haus gibt es eine Veranda mit Tisch und Stühlen, um im Freien zu essen und den Panoramablick zu genießen, es gibt auch einen Grill zum Kochen. Die Villa hat ein Erdgeschoss: gut ausgestattete Küche mit Tisch für 6 Personen, großes Ess-/Wohnzimmer mit Tisch/Stühlen für 10 Personen und 4 Schlafsofas, Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und ein Badezimmer. Auf der ersten Etage befinden sich 4 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer. Alle gängigen Haushaltsgeräte sind vorhanden und es gibt eine Breitband-Wi-Fi-Internetverbindung. Im Dorf Montecchio gibt es: Bar, Bäcker, 2 Metzger (bei einem kann man auch Fertiggerichte kaufen), kleiner Supermarkt, Lebensmittelgeschäft, Apotheke. Es gibt 3 weitere Supermärkte und andere Geschäfte in Baschi (11km). Großer COOP-Supermarkt, auch sonntags geöffnet, in Orvieto Scalo in der Nähe der Autobahnausfahrt. Empfehlenswerte Restaurants: La Perla (im Zentrum des Dorfes Montecchio, es hat auch Takeaway-Service), Sala della Comitessa (Baschi, 11 km entfernt), Casa Vissani (Baschi, 11 km entfernt ... hohe Qualität, aber sehr teuer), Il Brunnen (7 km von Montecchio). In 10 km Entfernung ist es möglich, das Weingut Falesco zu besuchen (Besichtigungen und Verkostungen von Montag bis Freitag).
Von Montecchio aus ist es möglich, die wichtigsten kulturellen und naturalistischen Schönheiten Umbriens, Roms und des nördlichen Latiums sowie der südlichen Toskana schnell zu erreichen (es liegt 20 km von der Autobahn Rom-Florenz entfernt, Ausfahrt Orvieto). Guido was very gracious assisting us whenever we had questions. Claudia, who met us at the square was very helpful & guided us to the property. Both were very responsive to any of our needs. A small car is a must for narrow roads in hilltop towns. The town was close by with a short up hill walk. I felt I was back in time, learning to just enjoy the simpleness and beauty of it all! Guido referred Thomas & Jamila for a cooking class in his lovely Villa.. very entertaining as well as great cooks as they enlightened us on preparing traditional Umbrian dishes. Each nite, we enjoyed libations out on the patio enjoying the panoramic view. I had to keep pinching myself as I felt I was in a dream! Amore!

We stayed in the property over Christmas and New Year. The property manager was extremely attentive and helpful and had even provided a Christmas tree and decorations for us. The house was very clean and had beautiful views. The kitchen was well equipped. Our only problem was that the shower did not work well and the hot water was limited.

The house met our requirements perfectly. Very well equipped kitchen, rooms, pantry, bathrooms. First time drive off the main road home, quite scary but you get used to it. Convenient parking in front of the house, space for bicycles in the garage. The pool is perfect, not too big, not too small. The views from the front of the house are phenomenal. Peace and quiet, the area only for us, but at the same time literally a few minutes on foot to the town center for coffee, pizza or just for a walk. Everyone in our group could decide if they wanted to be together or isolate themselves.

The house was large enough for my family of 8. The house was well stocked with everything you would need. The location allowed us to tour many destinations from
Rome to Florence. The town was cute and everyone was nice and helpful. A car is a must.

Montecchio
The house was beautiful and spacious. Immaculately clean and well stocked. The town residents were pleasant, and we especially enjoyed the pizzeria . The supermarket was well stocked, and we had delicious dinners at La Perla and Kilometric Zero restaurants. We would love to plan another trip in the future.

Dieser Urlaub war sehr erholsam.
Der Urlaub hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, genau richtig um einmal zu entspannen. Das Haus ist sehr gross und wir mit 4 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder hat mehr als genug Platz. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, uns fehlte an nichts. Die Leute im Dorf sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben die zwei Wochen mit Kindern, Oma und Opa und Hunden in dem Haus sehr genossen. Ein Haus mit Charme, wunderbaren Ausblick und viel Platz. Sowohl die ältere Generation als auch die Kids haben sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Claudia ist diskret, aber immer erreichbar im Hintergrund. Tolle Gegend, ein Haus zum Verlieben. Auch Hunde sind willkommen. Wir hatten nur Sonnenschein und werden die tolle Gegend und das Haus sehr vermissen.Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet eine riesige Küche. Tischkicker und Basketballkorb waren nicht mehr intakt, für unsere Kids aber kein Problem. Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Wir haben Städte besichtigt, sind gewandert und haben uns am Pool gesonnt. Wir waren von der Buchung, zur Anreise, zum Aufenthalt und zur Abreise rundum zufrieden. Wir freuen uns, auf den nächsten Aufenthalt in dem Haus.

Ideal gelegenes Ferienhaus zur Erholung
Sehr sauberes, gepflegtes und bestens ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in einem kleinen Örtchen als idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Alle Erwachsenen und Kinder haben ihre Erholung gefunden. Spaziergänge und Wanderungen ausgiebig möglich, das Auto muss nicht jeden Tag benutzt werden. More than a vacation
Comfortable, very spacious, private, amenities very close. Central to touring making it so easy and enjoyable to travel and return in the evening. Pool was an added bonus for the days we decided to stay and lounge. Necessities provided making it easy to manage. Hosts were readily available if required.

Fantastic villa near village
Stunning property set in Umbrian countryside but with quick access to the very characterful Montecchio village via a steep incline at rear of the house. Village has only one restaurant now, which is Kilometre Zero and I can recommend this easily. The house is extremely well equipped for 10 - 12 people and the pool is of good size but most mornings you need to clear the pool of insects which is understandable but the pool is cleaned twice a week though. The veranda is in shade and offers fantastic views. We had 4 small infants and they were extremely happy as there is plenty of space. Guido is excellent at communication and a professional host. Check in was simple enough. Cannot recommend this house enough. Fantastic.

E ate most of our meals there. There are great views from the house and a short walk to the village for coffee. Montecchio also boasts the Bartolemi Olive Oil Mill, which has a small museum attached. The free tasting was superb. This is definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful week's holiday in Montecchio.
The house was absolutely delightful - spacious, absolutely spotlessly clean, brilliant outdoor space for fun (pool), playing (garden) and relaxing (lots of spaces to sit out and eat or lie in the sunshine). The photos don't do the views justice - the house looks out over beautiful countryside and you can happily spend hours just looking out!
The house has everything you need - plenty cooking facilities and utensils, BBQ, sun loungers, comfy beds.
Montecchio is very small but beautiful - lovely medieval streets. A couple of excellent restaurants, a busy popular and welcoming bar and some small shops. It's easy to take day trips out to bigger towns (Todi, Assisi, Orvieto) and there is a big supermarket c. 25 minutes away. A car is necessary!
The booking process was easy and the owners were very helpful throughout the process.
Would certainly book again - and have already recommended to friends!

Beautiful Hillside Charming Villa
Stunning villa in the Umbria hillside with views! Well equipped 5 bedroom, 3 bath villa. Spacious, thoughtfully decorated, great for families. This was our home base for 6 days allowing us to take day trips to explore stunning towns like Orievto & Chivita. The owners were very helpful with great restaurant & shopping recommendations. They were quick to respond to our requests. We would definitely stay in this lovely home again!

Perfect situation
Well equipped villa with good-sized rooms and a nice pool. Idyllic views and while feeling very private, just an easy stroll to the charming hillside town of Montecchio with its shops, bank and excellent pizzeria (Fri - Sun only, though the pasta the rest of the week will certainly keep you going!). A few more fans / insect screens would be appreciated to help keep the house cool, and the bathrooms are a little tired, but this was nonetheless an excellent base to explore a beautiful part of the world. Excellent service from Guido (manager) and Claudia (owner) both in the organisation and while we were there. I'd go back happily!

Stunning Views
What a great find, Southern Tuscany, within easy reach of Rome.
There were eight in our party and the villa did not fail, large rooms, with plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, Table football the kids and adults !!!!.
All the bedrooms were large and comfortable, the same can be said o the bathrooms, also with one be located on the ground floor, its ideally placed for a shower, after spending the day at the pool.
The village is in easy reach via a pathway at the back of the house, with a number lovely restaurants, a bar, with a great ice cream counter. Two small shop, with enough to keep you going, also a very good butchers. A larger supermarket can be found 20 minutes by car.
Lots to do and explore, within a 45-60 minute drive.
Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect villa within a walking distance to village
We (4 adults, 4 children aged 7-12) were looking for a villa in Umbria within a walking distance from a village. Our previous villas have been a little bit further, and this time we wanted something quite near to a village or city.
We were first a little bit hesitant about this villa, since there were no previous reviews. Things turned out to be perfect!
We had minor trouble getting the keys and communicating with the owner (she speaks only Italian), but things went fine after all.
The villa is really nice. The views to the valley are great. It has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 10, as said. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool is next to the villa.
There is a walking distance (like 300 meters) to Montecchio, with a nice bar, a couple of restaurants, 2 small supermarkets and a couple of restaurants. Montecchio has a tiny but charming medieval center.
Really next to nothing to complain. Given the price, the villa was great value for money. There is a lot to see within 80 kilometers. Hightly recommended!
