Absolutely wonderfull staff! She greeted me with a big smile and a conversation. Super helpfull and showed me places to eat and see. Beautiful little terrace and a good garden! Very good aircondition. Simple but good breakfast

Fantastic location at the center of things, yet quiet and secure. Good value for a clean, pleasant, well-heated room with a comfy bed, an en suite bath with loads of hot water, my own balcony, and a fabulous view. With the door code, I could enter or exit at any hour I pleased, and it was always pleasant to be greeted by one of the Dominican sisters...or by their big, friendly golden Labrador, Nina.

The door lock to my room was a little clunky. I had to hold my mouth right to get the key to work, even though I am an old-timer with experience in old keys. And it would have been nice to have breakfast provided rather than hunting it out for myself. Luckily, Caffe Montanucci is nearby, has wonderful pastries, and is open every morning of the week.

The manager Rita was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The location is very convenient for the main sights and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms and furnishings are very simple but comfortable, and the garden area to the rear is very pleasant. The breakfast is the standard italian b×b fare but with a bit more care and attention. Personalised table labels!

There isn't really much to complain about. SS Salvatore isn't very flashy but the welcome is sincere, and it is very competitively priced by Orvieto standards. Their is a surcharge for parking, but spaces are at an absolute premium in the old centre, so that is a real advantage.

The Manager Rita has the most wonderful female yellow lab. Playing and petting her dog was like therapy. The Hotel is super nice, not far from the Cathedral. Lost restaurants and supermarket. Bus is right buy cathedral 5 mins away. Rooms are on the large side.

Superb value accommodation close to the centre of Orvieto. I had a room with a large balcony and the sunset across the hills was glorious. The room was simple but perfect - a comfortable bed, small desk, spacious bathroom, excellent air-conditioning. Check-in and breakfast were good. Meeting Mina the friendly labrador was lovely! The convent is a short walk from the Duomo and other central sites; shops and restaurants are also a few minutes walk away. The funicular that takes you to the train station can be reached in about a 15 minute walk.

Very noisy the morning! The guests leaving very early slammed their doors and I couldn’t sleep.

We really enjoyed meeting the host, her lab and some of the Sisters who work and live in the convent. The view from our room was beautiful and the whole complex was serene. The rooms are simple and we had our own bathroom. It's nice to see that buildings and ways of life can be sustained by converting some of their rooms to tourism.
