Comfortable well appointed house in a great location! Perfectly clean and very easy check-in process. Dugger responded very promptly to one small issue and was quite welcoming. One of our favorite VRBO stays, and we’d love to stay there again if we’re in the area.

Duggar could not be a better host — you can expect excellent, timely, and clear communication, which makes a trip so much smoother! The house is equipped with everything you could need but not cluttered. Truly felt like staying in a friend’s familiar home.

We could not have found a better place to stay with a more considerate host! The house itself is charming, with a bright, well-stocked kitchen and a garden made for lazy afternoons. The internet was strong enough for streaming, for those that needed their dose of Wordle or Netflix, and the beds were comfy. We were there during a heatwave, and the owner kindly brought fans which cooled the house down quickly in the evenings for sleep. The house is at the back of the lot, well away from street traffic in a quiet residential neighborhood. There's a corner market two blocks away for essentials, good coffee within a few blocks, and the North Berkeley BART within walking distance, so we didn't need a car. The house itself was great for our needs, but what put it over the top was the consideration and kindness of the host.

Wonderful comfortable home that felt like a home away from home! I was a little hesitant at first because of the price was out of our budget. But we received everything that we hoped for and more. The house was very lovely and accommodating and very assessable for all of our needs. Yet at the same the adjoining neighbors were barely noticeable and tolerated our coming and going’s. It felt so wonderful to be in Berkeley in such a ‘Berkeley’ home. All the commodities that we needed to cook and entertain our few friends and each other. Even a water filter and Coffee french press! The queen bed and the linens (lovely cotton) were delightful and so comfortable. The down pillows made me not even miss bringing my own. We enjoyed our stay very very much. If I could afford it; I would come and stay for a retreat in the ‘poets corner’ for a whole month and write and paint. Thank you so much Dugger for everything. All the art and all the lovely furnishings were perfect. We loved being so close to everything and feeling comfortable to walk as women in the neighborhood at night. We visited with our cousin who lives in the Berkeley Hills. We visited the Monterey market for an amazing selection of fruits and vegetables beyond your imagination, Magnani poultry for organic chicken (Best price in California ), Italian sausages and cheeses and olives, Cesar Chavez park, the Bulb, The native botanic garden and the amazing Lake area in Tilden Park, The Berkeley Marina, and even the Berkley Libary to renew a CA library card. It was a beautiful Berkeley cottage. Really uniquely decorated. Very safe and quiet. The owner is super responsive.

Nestled in Poets Corner is an unsuspecting Berkeley Classic, with a private, gated entrance that leads you to your first look - A large, serene front yard of beautifully kept succulents, flowers and other plantings set against the house and surrounding it. There are areas for seating to take in the beauty while enjoying your morning coffee or reading a book. An outdoor dining area under a pergola is a perfect spot to share a family meal be it from the grill, the gourmet kitchen or take-in. The home is immaculate and well-kept. Each bedroom had all the comforts of home including comfy mattresses, spacious closets, and work space. The bedrooms were well-insulated for sound, as we were traveling with our one-year old grandson, who slept peacefully every night. The large living room was perfect for our group of four adults and one child to gather and relax with amenities of games, books, television and is lovingly decorated with pictures and art objects. The kitchen is a chef's delight and includes all the amenities this chef needed to cook some wonderful findings from Berkeley Bowl! The bathroom was spacious and toiletries provided luxurious. Dugger was a delight - the perfect host and was accessible if need be by phone to answer any questions necessary although he did cover all the bases prior to arrival thoroughly and succinctly. This was our first VRBO experience and we could not have been more pleased. We would definitely not hesitate to book this lovely find again and again!

Wonderful

This was the perfect home for us while visiting family nearby (we are a couple with 6-year-old and one-year-old.) Neighborhood felt quiet, but easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants. Dugger welcomed us so warmly and gave us a quick tour of his wonderful place. There is a pack n play as well as many games and toys, which made things so easy with the baby. Also, everything being on one level was a plus, as our little on has not yet mastered stairs. The house is set back from the street with a lovely garden/patio in front. There is another house at the front of the property but I didn't see the renters at all during our stay and everything felt quite private. I am a Berkeley native and have stayed in many Airbnb's in the Bay Area. Mold is a common problem in SF and Berkeley due to the nightly fog and general dampness. This is the first home I've been in that didn't have a slightest tinge mustiness or mold smell. I would book Dugger's place again without hesitation.

Duggar was an amazing host and the house was super cozy, roomy, and even better than we imagined. The outdoor area is a great spot to hangout, the kitchen handled three of us cooking and chatting, and the bathroom products were bliss;)

This three bedroom house was perfect for our group of five family members. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our four-night stay in Berkeley. Finding on-street parking was never a problem. Thank you Dugger for being a great host.

My family had a great little stay at Dugger's place. It is well appointed, clean, and tucked away off the street. The outdoor area is lovely and the indoor space is beautifully decorated and colorful. Dugger is a helpful, kind, and thoughtful host. Highly recommended!

A group of us stayed here and the house was awesome for 6 people. Everyone was super comfortable and the location was perfect. We didn't realize that there is a strict no smoking/vaping policy for the property and that was a bit of a bummer for a few in our group that partake. Homemade Cafe on the corner was a fantastic breakfast spot to have within walking distance too.

It was great to meet Dugger,and have him go over the place . He was a great host and the property is cozy ,clean and has everything you might need. Thanks so much ,my son and l really enjoyed our stay.

The location was great and Dugger was very friendly and accommodating. He met us right at check-in time and gave a quick but thorough walk-through of the lodgings. The space was clean, colorful, and had everything our wedding guests needed.

"Charming, unique, roomy, clean, comfortable, most comfortable beds & pillows ever, fully stocked kitchen, cool toys, easy & plentiful parking, lovely neighborhood with park in walking distance, walk to cafe's and shops, and adored the outdoor space!" These are all comments shared by our family of 6 (grandparents, parents & two boys ages 3 & 6), after our recent visit to the Berkeley area. And on top of all of this, our host, Dugger, was exceptional to work with! He was so very prompt to reply to all of my questions prior to arrival, making extensive suggestions of places to go and things to do that were child friendly. He met us at the property upon our arrival exactly on time, showed us all around, explained how things worked and shared his love for this beautiful property with us. When traveling with young children, it can sometimes be challenging to keep them occupied - but not at Dugger's house! He had games, books and toys that were perfect for our grandsons. All of us loved the inviting courtyard area - so relaxing and peaceful with interesting and impressive landscaping. Especially the roses out the kitchen window - the aroma infiltrated the entire area and it was spectacular! We walked to the corner cafe for breakfast (3 short blocks) and the food was scrumptious. Just a few houses away was a place that sold homemade cookies which were a real hit with the boys. We also walked to a neighborhood park and enjoyed exploring the area of shops and pubs. We found easy access to the main thoroughfare which was great for all our day outings. Parking directly in front of the house was a breeze. Our son lives not far from here and we visit once a year. This lovely home will definitely be at the top of our list for "stay again" places. Thanks for sharing your home Dugger!

Dugger’s house was perfect for us! It’s in a great location, and is a spacious comfortable home with a beautiful private garden - a wonderful home for families. I would definitely stay there again!

The home was very nice and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and nice. Great kitchen. Lots of amenities like shampoo and conditioner as well as in the kitchen with condiments and coffee, amongst other things. The location was good. And the host, Dugger, was very helpful and responded very quickly via the VRBO app. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
