I visited Shadow Mountain Lake as a child with my grandparents, now I get to experience it with my grandchildren. Eagles Nest was the perfect place for our three generations. Everyone had plenty of room to relax and the kiddos just loved the bunk room. Great view of the lake too! Condo was very clean and well appointed, we had everything we needed for our family meals. Will return!

Property was as described. The beds were attractively built but difficult to get in and out of because of the way they were constructed. Second floor bedroom and bath were not connected which wasn’t optimal. But overall, we were very satisfied with the property.

Great location! Wonderful view! Downstairs bedroom has too many beds for the size of the room. Consider changing out the full/single bunk bed with a single/single bed and add a chair and nightstand. Otherwise beautiful property with easy access to lake and downtown Grand lake. Queen size bed was difficult to get in and out of.

Family vacation with grandparents was perfect with bedrooms well-separated. The kitchen was well-equipped. Once the deck was vacuumed and dusted, it was a nice place to sit. There is no grill, but an outdoor electric "griddle." Stairs were somewhat challenging for elderly grandparents, no big deal for anyone else. Grand Lake is a short walk away, but driving distance for grandparents.

Overall it was ok. I felt disappointed we weren't closer to town or even Grand Lake. Being naïve, I could not tell that until we got the exact information. Upon arrival, we noticed the property inside wasn't very clean; difficult to see the outside as the slider door windows were dirty. A case of missed expectations, I want to be fair and not let that influence my response.

We stayed here for a long weekend to get away. It was wonderful. Grand Lake is so peaceful and relaxed. Very walkable and so much to explore. The condo was comfortable with a great kitchen and perfect common areas

Great location to Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. Beautiful view from balcony of tge lake and mountains. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and having breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped, but was missing kitchen pantry supplies. There was ample room to relax on the main floor and the two main bedrooms were spacious. The condo was tastefully decorated with Rocky Mountain themed art and furnishings. It was the perfect place for our get together.

Our recent trip to Grand Lake was perfect! It started with very knowledgeable assistance from the Grand Mountain Rental's staff. I wanted an in town lake front condo and Calise helped me find the perfect location. The condo was large and had a fully loaded kitchen. Having coffee every morning on the balcony soaking up the views of the lake and mountains provided the perfect start to each day of our vacation. I would definitely rent this unit again!

This place is so close to being perfect! Great location great view and perfect size. Unfortunately the negative made it so uncomfortable that it was hard to see all the good. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that there were no screens on the two sliding doors on the main floor. There were screens on the windows in the bedroom on the backside of the building and that window has screens in it. However without screens on the sliding glass doors there was no way to get any air circulation on the main floor. If we left the door wide open we were bombarded by thousands of mosquitoes. I called the front desk instantly and had two different responses. One person told me she was so sorry owner was aware of it and they would try to do some thing. She then handed the phone to someone else who snapped at me that this was the first she’s heard of that. It really was a bummer because it got really really hot and it would have been nice to have windows/doors open. If it was not for that I would give this property five stars! Unfortunately I can only say it was “ok” at best.

It is a beautiful Condo! The rental had everything you need plus games and books! It is a quaint little town. We were there during Mud Season so all the businesses were not open but we still had a relaxing weekend. Would rent this place again!

Excellent Condo - even better than the pic
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the eagle's nest! The condo has recently been remodeled with upgraded counter tops, cabinets, and flooring. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake. The proximity to the market and town made this place perfect for us. I highly recommend it.

We got in from Denver a day late because my son broke his arm. The staff were very understanding, and even volunteered to give us a refund for that day. The place was very big, and there was a lot of room for the kids to play. The location was great, with nice views of the lake. Will return again next summer.

First of all, Grand Mountain Rentals went out of their way to accommodate us. By far the best rental agency I have ever dealt with! The condo was very nice and it was furnished better than my home is, complete with wine glasses for red and white wine, expresso machine, all the pots and pans you would ever want. The views are amazing looking over the water and at the mountains. It was also very clean and roomy. You won't be disappointed renting this place!

Eagles Nest has a great location in Grand Lake - close to town but yet not in the hustle/bustle of town. Walked to town a couple of times - not a short walk but a good workout. LOVED sitting on the patio in the morning and evenings enjoying the lake/mountain view - so peaceful and relaxing. Rented a boat a couple of times, hiked, fished, horseback riding, kayaking/paddle boarding one day - had a great time! NEED a larger trash bin for families (maybe put one in the UR). A door at the upstairs bedroom would be nice for sound barrier from downstairs activities. OVER ALL AWESOME PLACE!!!

This was an absolutely beautiful weekend "staycation" in Colorado for us. The furnishings are beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed for all of the groceries I brought with us. The only downfall was lack of firewood, which is fine if we would have known to bring firewood with us. I would also upgrade the tiny kitchen garbage container, a family of 5 fills that very quickly. Thank you for opening your home to us. The fireworks on New Year's Eve were spectacular and the free events the town of Grand Lake provides gave us memories to last a LIFETIME! Also, the management company was spectacular! They were very welcoming and provided a lot of great information on what we should do and told us of the free events! I hope we will be able to come back very soon!

We had a wonderful visit at Eagles Nest in Grand Lake, CO. Calise and Ralph did an awesome job directing us to whatever question we had. She even mentioned since we were staying 8 days we could another night for free as every third night was free. We go0t to soiak in another marvelous night theire. The weather was PERFECT....we got a little bit of everything...snow, cold, cool and very warm.....thanks CO for making our trip memorable. memorable.
