Umi ist ein komplett eingerichtetes, freistehendes Ferienhaus neben Jahmoon, unserem Ferienhaus in Dover. Dies ist ein ummauertes, vollständig umschlossenes Anwesen am äußersten Ende von St. Lawrence Gap. Umi ist von einem Blumengarten mit Obstbäumen umgeben. Sehr sicher und bequem.
Umi hat ein Queensize-Bett, in dem 2 Personen bequem schlafen können. Großartig für einen Single oder ein Paar. Es gibt einen Deckenventilator sowie eine Klimaanlage. Mit einem Gatter geversehener, geräumiger Hof.
Gratis Wifi. Kein Kabelfernsehen. Die meisten Besucher nutzen das kostenlose WLAN, um auf ihrem persönlichen Gerät fernzusehen. Internetgeschwindigkeit ist schnell.
Waschmaschine kostenlos zu benutzen. Nur Dusche, keine Wanne.
Sicherheitstore an allen Türen / Fenstern.
Draußen gibt es eine eigene Terrasse mit Sitzgelegenheiten für zwei Personen. Wenn das Jahmoon House während Ihres Aufenthalts nicht besetzt ist, können Sie die große Sonnenterrasse des Umi nutzen. Es gibt auch den Wäschetrocknungsbereich hinter Umi, der hohe Wände für maximale Privatsphäre beim Sonnenbaden bietet.
Wir sind nur 15 Minuten vom Flughafen und 5 Minuten vom neuen Sandals Barbados Resort entfernt. Dover Beach ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt, wo Sie Wassersport betreiben oder einfach nur ausspannen und entspannen können.

The two of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Umi Cottage. The pool was perfect for staying cool. The grounds were picturesque and well maintained. The covered deck was great for sitting outside and provided shade from the sun. The location was ideal for walking to beaches and restaurants. Also close to buses and taxis for exploring Barbados. The check-in process was smooth. Ty, the host, was always available for communication via email and WhatsApp.

We loved this cottage. It was a short walk to Dover beach with plenty of restaurants, stores, surf lessons and everything we needed. The pool was great and we had the whole place to ourselves. Ty was great to communicate with and we had no issues throughout the stay

We loved our stay. Umi cabin was a great deal and a perfect size for my husband and I. The location was within walking distance to beaches, restaurants and the Gap. We will definitely be returning to Umi cottage.

My wife and I had an excellent time at Umi Cottage, albeit just for a week and would gladly return in the future. Walking distance to the beach is a huge bonus. Ty was very obliging and took care of small requests we had. Highly recommended for a ‘couple’ stay !

My husband and I stayed in Umi cottage and we throughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at the beginning of January 23. We have holidayed in Barbados on 3 occasions now and this has to be our favourite place. The cottage is small but we found it relaxing and provided everything that we needed. The location is perfect, close enough to St Lawrence Gap for bars and dining, we particularly liked Mimosa Restaurant overlooking the sea whilst eating a delicious Italian meal. Then a 15-20 minute stroll back to our delightful little holiday home after a lovely evening out.
Umi Cottage is in walking distance to the beach 6-7 minutes although we preferred walking on a bit further to Maxwell where there was a reasonably priced beach cafe called Carib Bar. Miami Beach in Oistins was also lovely with lots of shade and a nice van/bar to get a rum punch.
The outside area was secluded and having the use of the pool, although small was an added bonus. I learnt to snorkel for the first time before venturing out in the sea.
Anne was very friendly, helpful and was easily contactable via WhatsApp if we needed any assistance.

My stay at Umi cottage was delightful. Umi is a small cottage but, very space efficient. I had everything I needed and the private swimming pool was like icing on the cake. The location was ideal, within walking distance to beaches, fine dining and public transport. I couldn't have asked for a better location.
Ty was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to my needs/requests. Ann, the caretaker/housekeeper was always easy to reach and very accommodating as well. I would recommend staying at Umi cottage to any couple or solo traveler. I feel very fortunate that I was able to secure Umi cottage during my travel dates and will definitely check on the availability when I return to Barbados.

Wonderful!!
Safe secure super clean and comfortable. Close to all the beaches and restaurants. Loved being able to do laundry. Lots of pantry items and property manager was prompt to respond to any questions we had. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Umi cottage ❤️ Very conveniently located to the bus stop as well. Thanks Ty for letting us stay at your guest house! We are coming back next year.

Great Location
Great location with in walking distance to all the amenities in the Gap. Ty was a great host and fixed a couple of issues we had in no time. The house has all that a couple or single person would need, it is very neat, tidy and safe. Ann the property manager is great and owns the "Sand Dollar" restaurant in the Gap which has great food. Very enjoyable place to stay. Thanks

Great location, wonderful service, awesome accommodation.
So enjoyed our two week stay at Umi cottage. The amenities were as stated. Bonus to have a washer and a large refrigerator. Our host Ty, although not on site had arranged for a friend to be our contact, Anne was attentive and also happened to own The Sand Dollar Cafe, great food. He also made sure that we were aware of where we could rent beach chairs and umbrellas, Charles Water Sports, and to check out Expressions Gifts. Dover beach soon became our little community. Lovely cottage
Umi cottage is a modern well equipped property, big enough for two people.It is in a nice,quiet area but in easy walking distance to the Gap.Ty the owner is very good to communicate with, we would stay here again. Neil M

Lovely little cottage at the bottom of the garden-see photos-well equipped-had our meals outside on the decking. Lovely flowering trees-plenty of birds visit them. Close to bus stop for Oistins/Bridgetown. Bars/cafes beach 5 mins down the road. Would def go again!

Loved our stay!
Umi cottage is an updated, nicely equipped property. We found it clean and in great shape. We enjoyed the independence of staying where we could cook our own food, as restaurants can be very expensive in Barbados. Uncle Courtenay was responsive, bringing a couple supplies when we asked. Plus, we're not big on drinking, so all-inclusives can frustrate as I don't feel like we get our money's worth. Anyways, you'll enjoy your stay in the Umi cottage. Although it is small, it's in great shape and conveniently located. For some reason, we couldn't get the cable working on the tv, which may be our own fault, but it would have been nice to be able to catch a movie at night. I tried to get it to work a couple times, but gave up.

Loved our Cottage
The cottage was very neat and tidy. When we arrived there was some bottle water, soda, and bathroom condiments available so we didn't have to rush out to get supplies. It was so nice to be able to sit on the patio with your morning coffee enjoying the humming birds, little lizards and occasionally a green monkey. The location of the cottage was a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants on the GAP and there was plenty of lighting on the streets so if your out after dark it was safe to walk home. I would definitely stay in the cottage again if and when I were to go back to Barbados.

Horrible
The property was dirty when I came .I had to clean the spiderwebs that were all over the house .Ty told me somebody had came to clean which wasn't true .I never got my deposit back One of the worst experiences I've had .

Great location, comfortable for 2!
Umi Cottage is easy walking distance to beach's and restaurants in St.Lawrence Gap. Very close to bus routes to Bridgetown and Oistins. We used the buses a lot to get around. Really appreciated the cold beer in the fridge that we found when we arrived. Cosy but fine for 2 people.

Amazing place
This was my first time I have booked a appartement and after being home a week, I wish I was back there. The owner of Umi Cottage is lovely and had thought of everything...he even left a beer for us in the fridge :)) He showed everything in the cottage and the next day drove and showed us the beautiful beaches in the vicinity.
Wow!!! is the best word to express our impressions after the stay at Umi cottage. On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedroom is very comfortable, with plenty of cupboards space. In fact we were commented on just how comfortable was the bed. As we were in Barbados in January the whether was hot and the air conditioning and the fan provided very welcome relief at the time. The bathroom was clean and the shower was wonderfully warm.
While the cottage is very well stocked for self catering we enjoyed every morning having breakfast outside and opted mostly to eat only diners out. We particularly liked "Sand Dollar" bar on the beach where Anne served us with delicious freshly cooked fish.
Overall,this was a lovely place in which to stay. In particular the attention given by Ty to ensure that we were happy with our stay means that I will wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Barbados.

Charming Cottage Home
This was an awesome stay! The cottage is very close to St. Lawrence Gap which makes everything an easy walking distance. That includes the nearest bus stop which runs between Silver Sands and Bridgetown. I would say I spent most of my time in Barbados between those two areas so that worked out perfectly.
The cottage is fully furnished. It's well maintained and very clean. This seems like a cottage that was meant for guests. Has everything you need in the kitchen, which was a nice alternative to eating out everyday. The air conditioner works really well, and is very comfortable to come back to after a long day in the sun. There's a television available with a DVD player and Chromecast, so you can watch Netflix, YouTube, Vimeo, etc... I would much prefer this place over any hotel on St. Lawrence Gap. This was a very great value.

Umi Delivered!!
The cottage was clean and presentable. Location was as I expected, close to beaches, shops, bars, and local buses. BUT not too close! I slept very peacefully every night and caught up on much needed rest. No noise or parties at night, in day the dogs would bark sometimes but this was cause of the monkeys in the trees one yard over.
The road in front is busy but the cottage is set so far back its a non issue.
For a single traveller Umi was more than adequate. For a couple I would say still plenty adequate, really depends on your space needs and how much you bring with you.
The cottage is very private with good security measures. I had my scooter locked in at night.
The Wifi was excellent and use of the landline was so handy connecting with my Bajan friends and local businesses.
My only issue was a clogged shower head which I sorted second to last day. Had tiny bits clogging the pipe to head connection. Minor but I ll mention it.
AC was much needed, couple times I overheated and the AC got my northern climatized body cooled down.
I would and will happily stay in Umi again, great little cottage with all you need and nothing more at a very fair price, it's a 4.5star for me.
