Our family of 4 adults, 2 children, and 1 dog enjoyed our stay at OctoMojo. The house was clean, but is showing some signs of wear. That's to be expected in these vacation homes, though; they seem to get hard use, especially the pet-friendly ones. The view was nice and the location was great. It's a very short walk to the beach. Chester's is also in walking distance, if you only need to grab a few things. The house was a comfortable size, with plenty of space for us to spread out. The kitchen was a little bit short on a few things - spoons, dish towels/rags, and measuring cups/spoons. No big deal, but just be aware if you are going to need those things. The dog run area was the perfect size and area for our dog (Frenchie). It was also clean. That impressed me because I always have to do pet clean up when arriving at a pet-friendly rental. The hot tub seemed to be well maintained and had a great view of the ocean. I needed to contact the owner shortly after our arrival. She responded immediately. This house is one of the best houses our family has used on our annual winter beach trip. We hope we can stay again next year.

All in all a great place. Location is great. Having the grocery store so close is very nice. Property just needs a little TLC. Deck repair, curtains on the windows facing west. The afternoon and evening sun is just way too bright. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. I strongly recommend staying. Thanks.

Home is beautifully appointed and perfectly located. Enjoyed walks on the beach with the dogs then came back for an enjoyable soak in the hot tub.

We had a nice stay. There were a few tiles that were cracked and coming apart and a few stains on the carpets. Overall the house was nice and had a great view for being 1 street up from the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Octomojo. The location beach access and view were great, the rooms were spacious, and check was super easy. A bonus was also how well stocked the kitchen was. A lot of vacation rentals have okay kitchen furnishings, but this location has a well stocked and organized kitchen. Highly recommend!!

We scheduled to stay at OctoMojo the beginning of 2022 for Christmas this year.
We originally scheduled to stay 3 nights. Once we found out about a winter storm headed our way we knew we had to make the drive a day early or we'd have to wait 1-2 days before we could go and miss most of our trip! I contacted Julie by phone and left her a short voicemail asking if an additional night was possible and she took the time out of her busy day to change the trip because VRBO wouldn't allow me to because of the short notice. She was quick to get back to me and went above and beyond to make sure we made our trip.
The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The doggy area had scoops and rakes. Fans in every bedroom. Bathtub in the master was extremely comfortable along with the bed in that room. Julie is truly a gem to work with and OctoMojo could not have been a better fit for our needs. She really paid attention to small details and it shows that she really cares that you have the best trip possible. We hope to have the pleasure of staying at OctoMojo again in the future.

A comfortable home that's close to an uncrowded beach!
This was our third stay at OctoMojo and we just booked our fourth, so we love it here! It's great to have two master suites and another comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The hot tub is a plus, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the house is a short walk down a little hill to a lovely quiet stretch of beach. Home owner Julie is great in her communication and the home is spotless.

Comfortable stay, great location.
Our group of 6 adults, 4 kids +1 dog enjoyed a wonderful stay at OctoMojo. The house was clean and stocked with basic amenities for cooking. The house is in a great location, with a grocery store just outside the neighborhood and fantastic beach that is less than a 5 minute walk away. The only thing I noted needing improvement was the charcoal grill was little dirty and had not been emptied of ashes in awhile and one of the downstairs showed was slow to drain. These things did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay. Julie is very easy to work with and responded to all of my messages quickly. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home. We had a great time.

The minute we walked in, we loved this place. Love the decor. Not over decorated. Modern, clean lines, and a great view of the ocean. The layout of the house is really nice, just perfect for our family group of six adults and two kids. Just a very short walk to the beach. And, a grocery store was only a couple blocks away. We were an easy drive to Newport, Yaquina Head, and other sights. The location was great. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous!
This place was amazing! We celebrated Grandma's 80th birthday, all her kids and grandkids were there. The house was so clean, organized and spacious! It was a small walk to the beach, and not far from shopping. We enjoyed most of our time visiting on the beautiful deck overlooking the beach and actually saw a few whales! I would recommend OctoMojo to everyone. And thank you to Julie, our host, she always responded to my emails in a timely manner!

A Perfect Place to Stay..
We traveled from Central Oregon to the beach to stay at this wonderful house for 5 nights, and we loved it. The weather as we got to the coast was very stormy, and the rain poured that first night, but we loved seeing the ocean out of all the windows. There is a gravel area on the south side of the house that was perfect for our cocker spaniels to do their business, and we really appreciate that. Their safety comes first.. this home is large and there are storage closets everywhere, and dog towels are included for the furniture. Very organized..the view is amazing and we saw lot's of fishing boats. After the big storm the weather turned beautiful and we got to enjoy the deck and just watching the waves.
The house was the cleanest we've stayed in too, the housekeeper really knows her business!
And the two larger bedrooms have tv's with Netflix and Amazon Prime, so we watched those at night. Everything was so comfortable, and CLEAN..
We highly recommend this house to everyone as it exceeded our expectations..

Fun Times at the Oregon Coast!
We enjoyed our stay at the OctoMojo just north of Depot Bay and an easy drive to Lincoln City. We stayed two nights during Spring Break with five adults and three kids. Super easy beach access was fantastic. The hot tub was perfect! The living room had space for the whole group to hang out. The octopus decor was super cute with the house. WiFi and cable were great features. The layout allowed the family of five in the master, one adult in the small second bedroom, and the couple in the upstairs suite. We had hoped to use the sleeper sofa in the master bedroom for the kids, but the mattress cover had a stain. We let the owner know and used the futon in the living room for extra bedding. Depot Bay was great for whale watching, plus we tried The Horn Public House and loved it. We also went up to Pacific City for lunch at Pelican Brewery and a walk along the beautiful beach there. We also made a stop at the outlet mall in Lincoln City. Great house in a fantastic location. We hope to come back again soon!

Perfect ocean get away.
Octomojo was wonderful! The location of the house is probably the best part. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood in between Depo Bay and Lincoln City. The house had great views and was a short walk away from a lovely beach with little to no people most mornings. We had several dogs with us that enjoyed their stay as much as we did. The house had a great little fenced in area off the side of the porch so our dogs could enjoy the outside space and still be safe while we cooked breakfast or got ready for the day. The house had everything we could of needed as far as cooking and daily living goes. My only suggestion for improvement is that the bedding and pillows were on the cheaper side. So if you're big on beauty sleep I'd maybe bring your own pillow. Also we had a gentlemen in the neighborhood that kept going threw our garbage and recycling cans which made us feel a little uneasy. We really enjoyed our stay and have even talked about renting the house again next year. Also Julie was wonderful to work with, thanks for making our vacation worry free!

Am I in Hawaii?
The OctoMojo is the scene of an Ocean Wonderland. The windows and deck look at unobstructed view of the surf. The home was clean and had all the comforts of home. It was so large that our two families did not use some of the area. Having your favorite K9 was delightful as well as the working hot tub. The kitchen was a perfect size to prepare any type of meal. Walmart in New Port is worth the drive to pick up a 12 lb. bag of charcoal (with starting fluid added). The oyster farm is a beautiful drive in that area along the river. Relax and enjoy the OctoMojo any time of the year. Thank You Julie

Fabulous home to stay!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Octomojo house. And the views were fabulous! There was plenty of space for the 3 couples to have their own space. My only suggestion would be to have a few more basic spices provided for cooking. But otherwise everything you would need for day to day living was there. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was you can't cook crab in the house. Being from a land locked state of Montana we wanted fresh crab and other seafood as much as we could. I still would highly recommend the Octomojo house! When we come back we will stay here again.

Love It!!!
We absolutely loved OctoMojo!!! This house was so accommodating. We have never stayed in a rental with dogs that actually cared about our dogs. There were sheets and towels specific for our dogs to be on furniture and clean up. We cooked the best local food and the kitchen was stacked with everything we needed! Oh and another best part was the ocean. You could hear it, smell it, and get to it with ease. OctoMojo also provides a couple binoculars for spotting whales, we did see a few!! We will be returning to this house!!! Julie returned my messages in less then a 24 hour period. I felt she cares and wants her guests to enjoy their time. Thank you so much Julie!!!

We had a great time with great views and very comfortable.
We reserved OctoMojo in July 2016 specifically for the August 21, 2017 eclipse. When we heard other rentals we're being canceled by the owners for higher rents for the eclipse, we contacted the OctoMojo owner to verify our status. Their answer was that they found out what they could have charged shortly after our reservation but decided they would rather run an honest business than get a one time increase for the rent.
There were 10 people in our party and everyone was very impressed. The home is well stocked with amenities and very comfortable. Even with 10 people and 2 dogs, we never felt cramped. The 2 master bedrooms are spacious, especially the one on the main floor and no complaints with the third bedroom. The views from the upstairs bedroom, main living area and deck are spectacular.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with great views and want to work with an honest owner, then rent OctoMojo.
This is a place we will definitely consider renting again.

This was exactly what i was looking for. Family friendly and very thoughtful accommodations. You know the house is great when your kids want to just stay at the house and play. Owner was very helpful with any concerns or issues we had. We realized we could have left a lot of stuff at home. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed and was labeled too! Very nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. We loved soaking in the hot tub after a long day at the beach. I really liked the location too. The beach was relatively private but we were still close to everything. Grocery store was just across the highway which made things very convenient and Depoe Bay is less than ten minutes away. I really enjoyed the sunset and sunrise from the back patio listening to the pounding waves. This would be an awesome spot to watch a storm! We will be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a group of four and picked Octomojo for the two master bedrooms, hot tub, and view and sound of white crashing waves. The house was very clean and organized, boasts beautiful Pottery Barn style décor, and a wrap-around ocean view on both levels. The Master Bedrooms are in totally separate areas of the home, so we had good couples privacy when we weren’t enjoying the common areas as a group. Our dogs loved the quiet little neighborhood and the beach, with 2 access points less than a block away. We never saw anyone else on the beach. After long days of walks and seafood, it was heaven to look at the moon, see and hear crashing waves, while soaking my cares away. We will be back!

We so enjoyed our stay at your beach house. The view was wonderful and your attention to detail to make it a comfy place was just amazing!
