First, let's talk about the positives:
* location is directly on the Bay and only a couple minute walk to the Beach
* house was clean when we arrived
* we were able to check in an hour early, even without requesting it
Now, for the negatives:
* only groceries within ~15 minutes are very expensive
* not much in the way of chairs or beach accessories on site
* 4g/5g internet is very spotty on the property
* wifi was not operational when we arrived and property owners seemed to be unaware of that
* icemaker was not operational when we arrived and property owners seemed to be unaware of that
* no water filter available on site
* slow to deal with our wifi issues and completely ignored the icemaker issue
* dealing with wifi issues took a substantial amount of our vacation time
* no compensation offered for dealing with issues
Here, I have composed a timeline to give you an idea of what happened:
* check in one hour early
* after unpacking, I sent owners a request to get the icemaker and wifi issues resolved
* immediate response, but it becomes clear to me that the contact number is a company that has a local team that I don't talk with
* company claims that they attempted contact with me on icemaker issue; I have no phone calls, text messages, or message through VRBO so I let them know that
* company asks me which internet provider they use (why would I have that info?)
* company eventually tells me (after I contacted them several more times) that wifi will be corrected on Monda

This property is a gem. Location is perfect with access to the Gulf and the Bay steps away. The home is comfortable without being fussy. We had all we needed for a wonferful relaxing stay. We will be coming back to this awesome place many more times. Thank you!

So glad we found this house and it was available, we absolutely loved this house. We had 4 kids and the bunk room was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!!

The home was perfect and beautiful. It was really spacious for 6 adults and 4 kids. We will definitely be renting from Vacasa again ! My only complaint is I wish the walking path down to the bay was a little cleaner and wider of a path, but other than that we had an awesome stay and loved our stay !

Loved the house. Had great views of gulf side and bay side. Had nice decks front and back. Loved sitting on the deck and watching the dolphins. It was decorated really cute. Not really a complaint but could use better cookware like skillets and storage bowls. We loved our family vacation and really enjoyed this house. My kids loved the bunk bed room. Plenty of space for our family of 9

I read other reviews about the cleanliness and it was actually clean. We saw no issues. The house is older and there are some updates that COULD be made but not necessary. The beach is accessible from the back but the trip out there is a little rough. Make sure to wear shoes until you get to the beach because there are thorns. Honestly other than that we enjoyed our stay and everything was nice. Any issues I had the hosts were accommodating and that was appreciated.

The house was perfectly located and spread out well for our family. Sofa was filthy, sand and bugs in the master bed, sand on floors when we arrived, food stuck on dishes and black mold coming from every air vent. I attempted to contact the property manager while there and was responded to by a bot until I commented that as a property owner myself, I’d never hire vacasa to manage my properties. From a business perspective, the dept of health would not allow this house to be a business. I was refunded my cleaning fee and nothing else. I asked to speak with the homeowner to make sure they knew what was going on and was assured that wouldn’t happen. So if you’re the homeowner, feel free to contact me.

We were two families, 4 adults and 4 teenagers.
The house is very spacious, the room for the teenagers was a perfect size and they enjoyed the seating area and there own TV to hang out, they even had their own little fridge. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, even though pots and pans were not the best quality. The kitchen cabinets could use some little fixing.
We loved the easy access to both beaches. The Bay was great for Kayaking, SUP and swimming when the waves were too high on the other side.
We liked the two decks, the only little downside was, to get to the back porch you had to walk through the master bedroom. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

We enjoyed our stay house there were issues such as in the air vent in the den had black mold on it and on the last evening we turned the heat on there was no heat. Finally got in touch with someone and they could not do anything until the next day. So my husband found that there was no heat hooked up only new AC installed on 8/11/22. The inside temperature got down as low as 54 degrees. We left before 8 am the next morning and the manager finally called about someone coming to check on the heat. I ask about compensation and was told she would get back with me on Monday. I waited until Wednesday morning and left messages and no one has responded. It’s a shame because the house has awesome views.

The view was beautiful, but this home needs work. The roof is leaking through to the ceiling, and the showers are really bad and need to be redone or cleaned well. Master bath doors won’t close, etc. There is also no comfortable outdoor seating. It is a large property with plenty of room, but I’m disappointed that Vacasa would rent a property in such disrepair. .

Great for my children. Easy walk out the back of the property to the bay. We watched dolphins every morning with coffee. Just across the street we had a turtle nest and wonderful swimming in the gulf. Super kids friendly place.

This was a great place to getaway and relax. The house was spacious and clean. I especially enjoyed the mornings drinking coffee from the back deck watching the waves.

Perfect for our family of 7 and 3 dogs. The bunk room is probably the most comfortable room of the house but it was all wonderful. No cover on the decks could leave you really uncomfortable. But the sunsets were spectacular and the unobstructed gulf views were fabulous. Easy walk to the beach and the shallow sound was great for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Beware of sand spurs and take something to light the grill with as the auto lighter does not work.
Highly recommend this place. We were very pleased.

Beautiful Beach Home
We loved the location of the guest house. It was right between the gulf and the bay sides of the ocean. My son fished on the beach in the bay side and we got to see all kinds of hermit crabs and sand crabs. The house itself was HUGE compared to the pictures, it was clean and very nice.

Great location, could be cleaner
We rented this house for two families and there was plenty of room. The condition of the house was ok, but you could tell that small repairs were overdue and have not been carried out. Also when we came in we noticed the cigarette buts in the sand outside. Also it was dirty under the nightstands, couches and nightstands. Pretty much everywhere where the vacuum wouldn't reach. The kitchen was not equipped very well. No knifes and other items that should be in every kitchen. The pots and pans were useless unless you like to eat the coating which was coming off. I have to note that within a day we have received a few new pans and pots.

Lots of Room in Guest House and Beautiful Views
Our first trip to Dauphin Island was amazing! The Guest House was situated in the perfect area to have your own beach in the back of the home AND public beach access directly front of the home just across the street. Short drive to main public beach and West End Beach. The bunk bed room is amazing for kids! The only thing I would suggest would be a new can opener and a pair of scissors but the kitchen was well stocked. There are chairs on the front porch as well as a table and chairs on the back deck for relaxing. The. back deck also has a gas grill. We really enjoyed our stay and would choose this home again. Thank you so much!

Cozy, rainy weekend
Of course we were bummed to have rain at the beach, but this house was so cozy and perfect for our weekend! There was plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded, we slept comfortably, and put the kitchen to good use. Beautiful views from both sides of the house!

Great location
House is in a great location, water views from all angles and plenty of space to spread out inside or on the outdoor decks. Having our dogs with us was so fun, plenty of room to walk them outdoors as well.

Honeymoon stay
We had a great experience! This house was exactly what we were looking for. The sunsets and sunrises along both sides of the house were just gorgeous. We rented a golf cart and that made our island experience even better so we could explore more. We would rent from Vacasa again!

The furniture - especially the dining room table is on its last legs. Same with barstools. Also, there was almost zero outdoor furniture.
Unfortunately you could tell this is just a rental. Not a lot of personality. But it was good for the group we had. Thank you

Great place for a large family
This home was big enough for 3 families and the bunk room was great for all the kids. Literally steps from the bay and just a few more to get to the beach across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to vacation
We enjoyed our stay at this house, was very clean and had plenty of room for 6 adults two kids and one dog. Great location, near the beach and had access to the public beaches. Very relaxing and a great family vacation trip. Getting in contact with vacasa was very easy, they was very helpful and great. THANK YOU!

The house was amazing!! Way more than what we expected. There were two decks, one facing the Gulf the other facing the bay. We saw so many dolphins playing while sitting on the upstairs balcony and on the bench by the water.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom very clean with white fluffy towels.
The best part was being able to bring our dogs.

Definitely hard to leave.
We had a great time! The house was perfect for our family. It’s directly across the street from the public beach (ocean side) so very convenient. Bring chairs if you plan to set out on the deck. The grill is very rusted so we weren’t able to use it. The TVs were not working due to internet being down but honestly it was great to disconnect from all that and enjoy family time. Would definitely recommend.

House was perfect for the 6 of us. Beaches out the front and back doors. Kayaking in the sound. Crab boil from Skinners seafood. What's not to like???

Overall excellent property. Very central location, right on the bay, not too far of a walk to the ocean, only downside was the wifi was not working properly.

Great Location with Scenic Views!
We loved our stay! It was perfect having the bay side in the back yard and the Gulf Side out the front. We often broke up our days spending the mornings on the Gulf side and afternoons on the bay side. The house was just as described. It would be great if they would add a table area and a few more chairs on the deck in back. We would defiantly come back this house!
