Great get away, thanks for the hospitality

Very pleasant booking cabin with the owners. Our family had a wonderful time.

Nice remodeled kitchen, comfy beds, cozy fireplace and beautiful view from the deck!

We spent the whole day relaxing and fishing from the dock Quiet cove, beautiful setting. Katwing was very helpful and accommodating.

The house was beautiful and so clean. The back porch looking out at the water was peaceful and relaxing! Amazing!!!

Being able to fish from the backyard was awesome!! The cabin was very roomy and the pool table was fun! If you’re looking for relaxation while being secluded, this is the place for you! Our family will be back!

Great place ,secluded , quiet.

Pros: 1. Awesome piece of property on a quiet, secluded cove 2. Pretty good kitchen 3. Very responsive & helpful owners 4. Local management (Denise) is very responsive & helpful 5. Great central AC & fans 6. No issues docking boat on location (although trailering a boat to the house may be difficult - we rented a boat on the water) Cons: 1. There was no ladder at the dock to help get out of the water. The adults were fine but the kids required help every time. This became a bit frustrating. 2. Do not count on the wifi for anything important like school or work; it was there, but we struggled to even load a web page. Plus, there's a house rule that you cannot stream anything 3. The only large skillet was so bent that it made cooking pretty difficult. Tried the wok but it too was bent badly. I'm confident Kit & Katwing will remedy this (as Denise replaced the coffee pot for us very promptly) 4. Bunk bud was so noisy it woke people every time the person sleeping in the top bunk adjusted their sleeping position 5. Shower next to bunk beds had almost zero water pressure which made showers take a really long time. The rest of the house had great water pressure, so again, I'm confident Kit & Katwing will remedy this promptly. 6. The hill is somewhat steep near the dock. There are some stairs built but the uppermost stairs have washed away and this is the worst spot. We had small children that handled it fine, but anyone elderly may struggle. I'm sure Kit & Katwing will remedy this promptly. 7. Only 4 outdoor chairs were provided and two of them were broken. 8. There is a pool table, which is a cool feature, but it was leaning so badly and the condition of the cues made the game unplayable. 9. Cleanliness of air vents made me question air quality 10. Wicker outdoor couch on back porch had no cushions. General info: 1. Wear shoes when swimming around the dock. Maybe that's common sense, but we did have a group member get snagged pretty bad by a double treble-hook lure. 2. No shade available by the dock and it is in full sun from 12 pm onward - so bring your own umbrella if you want some shade 3. Bring firewood - the house is surrounded by woods but there really wasn't any fallen limbs to gather and nothing provided to cut the wood. Plenty of moss and small sticks for kindling. 4. There is great seating around the kitchen island - which we used fine - but only a 4 person table for eating, so bring a folding table if that's important to you

Got to have quality time using the house as a base. Rented boat for day of fishing, visited family one day, and found good cajun food nearby. Did not use kayak or canoe, but did play some pool. Did not turn the tv on. Good four days.

We had an amazing time! It was in the perfect location for where we wanted to fish! We were able to keep the boat tied up at the dock for easy access to our fishing spots! Check in was easy, the property was clean on the inside, and it was perfect for us!!

We really enjoyed our time here. The property is very spacious, back porch is wonderful, and the dock was perfect for a little fishing or just enjoying the scenery. We loved the location of the property being so quiet and private. We will definitely plan to stay again!

Very nice and relaxing place. We had a couple issues with refrigerator and ac but they were addressed promptly. The owners and property manager were very easy to deal with. We’d go back!

We had a nice relaxing week at the house on Toledo bend!

Although the place needed some major care, we still had a relaxing time. There were quite a few things that needed to be cleaned up. One we had a very large party staying for 9 days, the trash had to be cleaned up daily because no one ever picked up the trash as promised. The bathrooms were picked up but NOT cleaned or mopped. Also the sheets and bedspread needed washing abs were dirt stained. The floors hadn’t been sweeped and there were numerous cob webs all over the house. The fridge was filthy and we had to clean it befire we could place our food inside. You would think they would at the very least clean up all excess debris downstairs and around the fire pit. The ants and bugs in the home were ridiculous!!! The boat dock that the owners newly built was actually just a wood dock about 4 -5 feet long and not at all suitable to dock an actual boat. We enjoyed the outdoors and the lake. The long drive way to the house is very rough and not boat friendly at all. There’s no boat launch close to the home either!!! It would have been a lot more enjoyable if the rental could be kept up better and cleaned more throughly. It wouldn’t hurt to do sone pest control in the home. But what other choice did we have we traveled 24 hours to get there!!!

It was exactly as advertised. Very nice open living area! Pool table was fun! Loved the bath with the huge shower! Definitely be back! Kit is great and quick to respond. Very accommodating.

The home was very comfortable. The cove was awesome for fishing, swimming and just hanging out. Had great access to the lake but far enough off that it was always calm in the cove. The home was perfect for our needs. Clean and had all the amenities that we needed so we did not have to buy the small stuff. Loved it!!

Very secluded and peaceful. Just what we were looking for!

It was an amazing place to be. At the last minute, I was able to book and get confirmation quickly. Once we arrived, it was a place away from it all, which was exactly what we wanted and needed. The best part was the owners allowed pets. Our dogs do not get to take many adventures but they really enjoyed the woods and being with us. We love to fish and that was such a great experience to fish the area where the home is located. We did read some reviews prior to booking and brought our egg crates for the beds, they were needed. We love it and will be back again!

We really like the house with the exception of the hard beds. It was a very pretty place off a cove on the lake. I plan to stay there again in the future

The property is nestled back in the woods. A long wooded driveway takes you back to the cabin. The front porch was probably my favorite part of the cabin; it overlooks the cut of the lake. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need. The property had steep drops-offs. You can't really fish the banks because everything is overgrown. There is a canoe and kayak to venture off in. As another guest mentioned, the beds were extremely rigid and uncomfortable. Especially, the mattresses on the queen bed frames. Bring wasp and ant spray with you. We had to spray the bathroom for ants, and the entire deck for ants and wasp.
