This property accomodated a family reunion of guests from 3 yrs old to 73 yrs old comfortably both for inside and outside activities. The location is excellently located on the beach. The property was clean. The stairs has new carpet which i was pleasantly surprised about considering the old carpet i seen when i first went to see the property. There was an inconvenience with the kitchen sink backing up and causing the vent area in the hallway to leak water. The maintenance came quickly and ran a temporary line until a plumber could come and that fixed the problem and satisfied us. Other than that, there was no issue. This is a excellent property for large family gatherings!

They said all we needed to bring was toilet paper and paper towels. They DID NOT SAY WE ALSO NEEDED TO BRING hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, etc.2. ALL OF THE FIRE ALARMS were dead (pre-power off), excluding one whose test sound was so low that I could barely hear it standing right next it. We burned something a tiny bit in the oven and some smoke-not enough for a fire, but enough for a decent fire alarm, yet no alarms went off. Around 25 members of the same extended family were in this house.3. All of the frames, door slats, fan blades, and even the bench at the end of my bed was COVERED IN DUST. Our allergies were acting up IN the house, yet NOT OUTSIDE.4. An arctic front knocked out the power for nearly 48 hours and the temperatures dropped into the teens (wind chill was 8 degrees at one point). We do not blame them for the power outage, BUT:A) we were not offered, even when we begged, any extra blankets to supplement the 1 summer-temperatures-ready, light weight quilt provided for each bed. We had already EVEN paid the extra fee of $250 for linens! B)we were not allowed to use the fireplace to produce extra heatC) the pipes began to burst around the city and while begging for blankets and knowledge of their contingency plan was for in situations like this, they simply said we would likely lose all water soon.Bottom line, there was no contingency plan or communication with us about what we should do IF any of these situations arose. We had family from age 3 to 78 in the house and from as far away at Seattle. This was our first gathering of the entire family in months and months. The Swedes Real Estate company was not prepared to rent vacation rentals anybody if they did not have a contingency plan or

The property is very spacious with amazing an amazing view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. I do recommend installing a ramp/elevator for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. I also recommend that the toilets be upgraded to higher, “adult sized” toilets.

It was cleanish but needs a deep clean. Nails sticking out on deck, several doors did not close properly. Outdoor shower was rigged up to turn on. All of these fixes would be very inexpensive considering it cost us over 6000 for 3 nights. The kitchen only had a couple of old small frying pans. There was no outdoor table and a small cheap grill. This house could be amazing with up updating and small repairs. Check out basically requires guest to clean entire house and it makes me wondering if a professional cleaning crew is even brought in. This was the only house we could find that was beach front and could fit our group so we would probably stay again.

We enjoyed the various bed options, not everyone was confined to a twin or bunk bed. We also loved the lot size and of course the beach front location. There was also ample hot water which allowed everyone to get cleaned up after the beach and even the last person still had plenty of hot water. We did have a few issues with the property, given the fact that you are paying between $6-$8,ooo for your stay. Some of the things that need attention to meet the caliber that the fee requires are as follows:- Many of they mattresses were very uncomfortable.- The master Bath, which is supposed to be a highlight did not have any cold water, making the tub unusable. - Many pieces of furniture were broken and required repairs (lose table and chair legs).- Broken cold water valve on outdoor shower (again with a great hot water heater, this too became unusable)- Carpet lifting on stairs, this became a safety issue for all.- Both outdoor hoses were broken (one had a hole in it and one did not have a handle)- Many nails were lifting on the porch stairs, again making this a safety issue for all (we took a hammer and nailed many of them back in)- Many of the dishes in the kitchen had not been properly cleaned or inspected, we had to re-wash all items that we used. We also found a moldy cutting board in a drawer- There was a thick layer of dust under all of the beds and couches.- Some flooring in the main areas were lifting and separating.Again, while we did enjoy our stay overall, they price you are paying for your stay did seem comparable to the condition of the house. With upgrades and a good cleaning overall, we felt the house would garner the price it is asking.

It was great and relaxing. Plenty of room for everyone.

After Hurricane Ida left many of my family members in Louisiana in the dark, this vacation home was just what they needed. The home was set up perfectly with space for everyone in and out with direct access to the beach. The homeowners next door joined us for our family talent show then invited us over to there home to continue the Labor Day weekend celebration. Would definitely revisit this place. Make sure to request linen package as it is not included in the rental price.

Great house right on the ocean. Comfortably slept 18 and we had room left over. Crystal Beach is a fun location but does have cars driving on the beach (fun to rent golf carts but have to keep an eye out for the little ones as they run to the beach. House is a bit dated but had everything we needed for a great spring break with kids of all ages!

We had our wedding here and everything went perfectly. Swedes reality was very easy to communicate with. Make sure you include the linen package because the house does not come with sheets or towels. Overall we had a great stay and there were 17 people in the house and everyone was happy with their stay.

Sofas are in really bad condition, linens provided w/extra charge were poor quality and some threadbare. (Might make good rags). Lots of "dust bunnies", dirty mirrors. Broken door in bathroon in crow's nest. (Did report problems to Swedes so may get cleaned and repaired.) Master bedroom/bath were clean and updated. Have rented through VRBO several times before and have always been very satisfied w/properties.Michigan
