Cindy and Mike are great hosts and their apartment is perfect for a couple, especially if you enjoy walking to parks, beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The walkable Seaside Market is perfect for prepared food or groceries. Be sure to walk the scenic path to the market, Beach and more. Loved it!

Stayed 10 days in late November. Apartment is perfectly located for activities, sights and shopping in Encinitas, Carlsbad and Del Mar. Fully equipped, clean and comfortable, quiet and private, with easy parking and added bonus of friendly and helpful hosts on site.

This VRBO is an absolute delight for an adult couple. Cindy and Mike are warm, welcoming and simply the best hosts. The accommodations are spacious, immaculate and meticulously well maintained. When booking lodging through the internet one can never be certain if the advertised accommodations are accurate. In this case, the listing paled in comparison to what my wife and I experienced. Stayed the second time and once again everything what was promised.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years. It is clean, well-maintained, and quiet. It is an easy walk to restaurants, the park, and retail. The owners are friendly, but not intrusive. They respond quickly to questions and they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay.

Cindy and Mike’s apartment made our visit to California perfect! We enjoyed the quiet location close to all the best beaches. I started every morning with a walk down to the beautiful path overlooking all the surfers while I got a great workout! The apartment looks exactly like the pictures and all the beach stuff was there for us to use - which was great since the goal of this trip was to bask in the California sun- all the best beaches are a only few minutes away! Cindy’s book with suggestions and maps was extremely helpful too! The only thing that would make it better is if we never had to leave! We will definitely choose to stay here on our next trip to San Diego!

The place was Immaculate and very comfortable. It was adequately furnished, the bed was comfortable and the place is well located to town and beaches. I would recommend replacing the hair dryer as the cord was sparking.

This is a great property to use while exploring the north coast of San Diego. We had a group of friends camping at San Elijo Beach and this apartment is about one mile away from the beach, which was very convenient. It is an uphill walk back to the apartment, which was ok for us, but may be harder for some travelers. We had no problems finding parking though, so it's also very easy to go back and forth with a car. Encinitas Community Park was a very short walk away. I went there most mornings and it was always full of locals and felt safe and welcoming for solo walkers. There is a lovely playground, dog park, skate park and sports fields. I am an avid birder and the park had great birds every day. The unit was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with all basic cooking supplies. We enjoyed local restaurants for the most part, but we did cook a couple simple meals. The unit also has a real coffee pot, not a Keurig, which was very appreciated. The balcony was lovely and I saw many birds in the trees outside. Cindy was very friendly and welcoming and we felt at ease. Checking in and out was easy. Parking is also easy, there is a designated parking spot on the street right up front. It's even labeled and we never had trouble parking. We had a lovely time in this apartment.

Hosts were very responsive and quick to respond to any request we had. Their VRBO place was very comfortable and extremely clean. Without question, this is a great place to stay.

Everything was great. Be mindful there is no air conditioning could use a room air conditioner just in the bedroom! Everything else was great!

Perfect location to beaches and away from the busy ness of downtown. Nice and quiet, loved it.

Wow, where do I begin? There was a bottle of wine waiting for us on the table, full washer and dryer in the apartment, full range and refrigerator and everything you need to live there for however long. The bed was very comfortable and high end linens in the bathroom and on the bed. The owners were amazing and very responsive to a couple questions that we had. The neighborhood, even though fairly close to I-5, was extremely quiet. You could not hear any traffic noise with the windows open, and if you listened hard you could actually hear the ocean even though we were about five or six blocks away. There are restaurants and a market about a 10 or 15 minute walk toward the beach, and a several mile long pathway that goes along the beach that’s great for walking or running. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay in San Diego! I will definitely be staying here again when we go visit our daughter and family as long as the unit is available.

As many reviewers said, the pictures and description of the apartment are spot on. It is spacious, with great airflow and a perfect place for your beach vacation. There are cooking utensils for making meals as well as being within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The hosts, Cindy and Mike, are very welcoming, accommodating and right there to help with any issues. Great touch of fresh lemons and limes, as well as a bottle of wine. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend it!

Spent a couple weeks at this property in Nov. Location was great for us - 10 min walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood, Target, Trader Joe’s, Costco just a short drive away. A great grocery/deli/liquor store (Seaside Market) wIthin 10 minute walking distance. Unit was clean, and well stocked for cooking, although a small frying pan and a pizza pan would have been helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

It is perfect! The property is a great location - close to a beautiful community park, walking trails, and, of course, the beach! The owners are wonderful, friendly, and make you feel so welcomed! You feel like you've known them your entire life. The property is so perfect for two people - comfortable, bright, relaxing, and offers everything you could want or need in the kitchen! This is a place we would definitely return to for a great get-away!

This was a great place to stay! Clean, considerately furnished, fans, laundry soap, softener sheets, dish soap, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, shampoo, conditioner and liquid body soap. Parking was available at all times, conveniently located. Cindy and Mike introduced themselves then left us our privacy. Yet only a phone call away. Only drawback was the stairs! We are 71 and 80! Had a wonderful11 days! Would definitely stay here again!

Its a great location, a short walk to the beach (well what we think is a short walk) I would go early to the Cardiff beach with the car to get a a great parking spot (because it would fill up fast) then my wife would walk down after and we would be set. The place was in a nice quiet neighborhood, but very centrally located to go up and down the old coast highway. The Patio was nice to have in the evening when we would get back to hang out on. Everything else about the description was just as they say. all in all we will stay there again if we are over that way.

While usually traveling abroad in the summer, this year I opted to stay out of the airports. I left my desert home for a cooler beachside climate. The apartment was in an excellent location with a quaint village down the road. There was a beautiful trail to the beach and a community park nearby where I met a Park Skateboarder headed for the Olympics. Everything was in working order and the necessities were supplied, in addition to a bottle of wine. Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

Well maintained home, gardens and apartment. So convenient to have a washer/dryer on site. Very comfortable .

This was by far a stellar experience! The owners of the property were welcoming, friendly, courteous and available for any question or concern. The property was very tranquil with lots of light in the afternoon on the back deck. It was clean and well-stocked. I was also delighted to find spices and a vast array of teas and coffee when we arrived. The grounds are impeccable and I cannot say enough about the location. It was so close to the beach and to a beautiful hiking trail minutes from our door. I cannot recommend this place enough. So happy we found this gem!

The hosts generously shared their February home harvest of kale and lemons, which was a long way from our normal Pennsylvania winter produce. Great place to stay in Cardiff.
