Wonderful location, very homely service, great food - three essential ingredients of living can be found in abundance in Shivaya

Personally, the only think I thought they must do is proactive house-keeping. All they need to do is ask if the guest wants to do up the bed or wants to room cleaned up. They sure do it on request, just being proactive adds a notch to the experience

Parking could have been better. Room could have a heater as well. Rest the room was perfect otherwise.

Breakfast was reasonably alright Location was good. Approach road was horrible. First impression of the hotel since 1953 was disappoiting.

Approach road was all mud road ( not motorable ) Room were poorly ventilated & lighted

Shivaya is a peaceful abode to reside if one is visiting Mukhteshwar. It is just a few minutes walk from Chauli ki jali which is apparently the main tourist destination there.The food was great and we were hosted with warmth. The rooms gives you a mudhouse feeling with its rustic decor, giving you a 'pahadi' vibes... Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Mesmerizing view!! The staff was friendly, helpful and was eager to arrange whatever we asked for. The rooms were neat and clean. Mukteshwar temple is hardly 5 min walk from the property. The most that we liked was their friendly dog "Barfi", we had a good time with him.

Since all the rooms were occupied they could have arranged for a bonfire at night..

Recommended by a close friend, I visited this place and I must admit, I had a great time. The owners are superhosts and if you ever run out of company for traveling along, they will do their best to keep you engaged. Glad I met them and we shared a bond worth cherishing. The property is located at an amazing location in the midst of a jungle, the food is great, so Is the view and there is much to do close by. The rooms are very tidy and are a nice blend of urban and rural feels. I'm glad I visited the place, would recommend you do too!

A little isolated

The food was over priced as well as the property.the staff said we cannot drink alcohol at the sitting area near the kitchen even though no such restrictions were mentioned in property rules.

We were forced to check out in a rush.there was no coffee in the room and when I asked for it I was told that there are only tea bags for the room,further we were charged for the coffee in the morning which is always a part of breakfast and included in it unlike shivaya where I opted for coffee and it was reflected in the bill.even a basic Indian breakfast of paranthas was chargeable.have travelled the globe but never Seen a place where coffee is not part of included breakfast in room tariff.Thank you for the grace period of 40 minutes as per you for checking out ,you should probably check with other stays which allow such time.

Location is just beyond KMVN TRH, very near to bucket list of Mukteshwar - temple, Jaali, IVRI, track to Sitla. Valley view is excellent, breeze is awesome. We went in June month, mornings and Evenings were very cool, noon is hot. anyone who likes vintage property , will like it, others might not. Food is very good. No need to go outside for food

Breakfast menu was very limited, should be enlarged. A mesh door may be installed to stop entry of mosquitos etc. Cross ventillation was missing. Quilt was quite loose in cover and ended up being a ball till morning.

Location and view is wonderful. So is the food, staff, pets, owners. Rustic appearance of the accomodation. Walking distance from the temple, view points, adventure sports and superb trekking.
