Wonderful stay for me, my wife, our kids, and mine and my wife's parents. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor area. The canal gave quick, easy access to the ship channel, and the house itself is extremely nice. So much attention to detail. I hope to come back very soon. Possibly the nicest VRBO rental we've ever experienced. Just need to get rid of all that ugly purple and gold --- haha, just kidding --- Go Hogs!

We had an amazing stay. The house is perfect for hanging out relaxing after hunting and fishing. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The kitchen is great. The house is well stocked and setup for a great time. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable, beautifully decorated, quiet neighborhood with all the comforts (and then some) of home, camp! Our 2nd stay and it won't be our last. Rickie is very communicative, accomodating and makes you feel very welcomed. We arrived on a Sunday, TV was on NFL, with the Saints playing! They do love their Louisiana teams!! You will LOVE the camp!!

We had the best time! Hackberry was just what we needed. We loved the house, the neighborhood and the town. We can’t wait to go back next year.

Perfect for the sportsmen like us. Everything was available to cook. Just a few minor things you may have not notice to help with the next visitors, The cleaning shed water line is broken and we were not able to use the hose to wash down the floor. We tried with pliers and the fitting is corroded. The hose nozzle on the chair was smashed and not useable. The front door does not stay shut without have the deadbolt on. Also there are no batteries in the bed remote in the Master bedroom. Minor things, but I am sure you want to be aware of them. Thanks. We plan to be back next year.

Stayed here with two buddies to run offshore to fish some rigs. Dropped the boat in at the Hackberry boat launch and was in the slip within 2-3 minutes. House was well appointed, lots of towels, comfortable beds, nice kitchen for cooking. Will be staying here again if I'm back in Hackberry.

Very accommodating for four guys on a duck hunting trip! We liked having our own bathrooms! It’s hard to find a four bedroom and four and a half bath! We will definitely stay here again!

This property had everything you could want for some time on the lake with family. I towed my 19 foot bay boat over from San Antonio with my wife and three kids (17, 15, and 12) and my inlaws flew in from Seattle to join us for four nights. Boat slip and boat house are a short 1/4 mile from the public launch at Hackberry Fishing Club. Check in was super easy with a code to enter the back door and early check in was allowed with advanced notice. Last day there the weather turned foul with gale force north winds but that isn't the property's fault. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, just be sure to bring insect repellant. The mosquitoes outside are ferocious even in November. Still scratching bug bites.

We booked this camp for a family reunion and fun was had and wonderful memories were made thanks to Ricky and his wife helping us get settled easily with no worries! Thanks again!! We do recommend this beautiful place!!

Clean & has everything you need!!

I booked this for a vacation for my husband, kids, my parents, and myself. There was plenty of room for all us to have our own space and the kids loved being able to fish in the backyard. Everything was clean and it was very easy to get in touch with Mr. Rickie and he was very quick to answer any questions we had. Will definitely stay again.

We came for fishing, but everyone in the family enjoyed the house. Boat access was easy and there was plenty of room. One of the cleanest VRBO’s we’ve ever rented.

Beautiful camp with everything you would need. My wife is not a camp person, but loved staying there. The owners were engaged, accommodating and checked on us several times. We will definitely tell our friends about this place and hope to book it again next year!

The place was convenient and spacious for 2 families. There was some damage from the last hurricane, which goes to show us how bad it can get there. We had so much fun buying bait and crabbing. We also did a crawfish boil - the ammenities provided for that was super convient. Being able to see the ships pass was also a plus for the kiddos. Thanks for hosting!!!

We were a group of 7, traveling with our adult kids and their spouses. There is not one thing I would have changed if this was my own home. We have stayed in many locations over the years and have never had a better equipped kitchen. I didn't have to get creative to figure out how to make pancakes or heat tamales. LOL. Everything I needed was available. There was more room than expected to spread out both inside and out as well as plenty of seating and dining space to be together. Not much to to in the town, but only 30 minutes or so to casinos and other activities. It is was perfect for us!
