This property had everything we needed as far as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of seating in the common areas. There were also plenty of linens.

Loved the house and location ON the beach. House has a great layout with 3 out of 4 bedrooms on beach side. Plenty of bathrooms for our family of 9. House is beautifully but casually decorated with beach theme. Wonderful time

This house worked perfectly for our extended family to get together for a week. The beds were comfy. The house design was perfect for our families. It has a bonus feature of an outside shower (not many have this). Location to everything was a short 5-10 minute drive. We are already discussing our trip for next year.

Amazing location, beautiful house

The very best thing about our stay was the private beach right outside our door! The kids could walk right outside and we could watch them from the comfort of the deck. The beach was all ours. The house was attractive and well kept up. Kitchen very usable with all the equipment we needed and it was good quality.Beds and bath were comfortable. Our only problem was that because this is a sort of rustic, natural place, and we had a couple of very rainy days, the roads were covered in deep water, a bit scary for me. Not too much to do besides beach it, but we did find a couple of restaurants, but make your reservations early as they fill up quickly! Overall, enjoyable and very family friendly.

Absolutely the best experience I have had! House was extremely functional for 3 families with younger kids. The lower deck, outside, shower room, toy room, and sitting area made all of the difference. The only 1 I saw on the entire island with the lower deck with beach front.. It made beach day a blast not having to pack equipment and supplies a long way and a quick warm outside shower to rinse the sand off at the end of the day was perfect. The beach was only steps from the deck and was marked private to keep the public from sitting in the space. Stayed for 7 nights 8 days and didn't have 1 person cross the lines. Beach was fantastic and the ocean was shallow for the younger kids to swim with out any concerns. House was fully stocked as promised with everything from a bbq grill, sewing kit, and magic bullet blender. House was professionally cleaned upon arrival and never needed anything! Couldn't imagine a better House on the island for what we needed. 100 % would recommend this place and will be coming back.

There are DampRid bags hanging in each closet. One of the bags leaked on one of a pair of expensive leather boots. The boot became so deformed it cannot be worn. It ruined the boot. I brought this to our hosts attention immediately. Our host refused to acknowledge this happened and stated there was no evidence of any leaking on the carpet. I would counter that is because the boot absorbed the DampRid liquid. We were disappointed in our hosts response. There was no discussion and were told there was nothing they could do. Any other response would have been preferable; to at least acknowledge the problem would have been better than the response we received.

This house was the perfect getaway for our group of 10! Outdoor shower was perfect with washing of the kiddos after a day in the sun. Loved the porch on upper and lower level, both with shady areas to cool off. Plenty of beach toys for the kiddos to enjoy. House was clean and had no problems while staying here. Rhonda was polite and helped in timely manner when we had questions during our stay. Cant wait to come back and enjoy the island.

House was perfect. Clean, well laid out. Communication with rental company was fantastic! The only unknown was having the area right next to the house open to people with permits so we had a little more foot traffic than we would have liked but I will say that the owner responded very quickly with “private property “ signs.

Very clean. Easy to access beach. Outdoor shower makes it easy to clean up little ones after a beach day. 2 level deck is nice to have. Home is spacious and family friendly.

We loved our stay at this house. The decks were great. The lower deck was especially nice having babies that needed time in the shade out of the sand. It was great having a private beach area.

Social distancing at its best! Somehow was able to book 3 days in advance, with no regrets. Great home layout and perfect location to have your own private beach space.

We had a wonderful experience. The house had everything we needed and more. Only suggestion would be another couch in the leaving room. We couldn't all sit together unless we sat on the floor. We will definally be back.

We really liked our stay in early Spring of 2019, even when the temps dropped for three days. I love the solitude of the island and we have been craving coming down for nine years now, so we are very familiar with the surroundings and laidback atmosphere, it’s just what we have been looking forward to every year!!

The House was perfect for the 8 of us. Great location and the home was in great shape. Has everything that you need for days on the beach and cooking essentials. Will definitely stay here again. Only improvement that I could recommend would be additional seating in the living room. Another couch would be nice so we could all be together there.

We were completely comfortable, happy, and content staying in Sandtrap during the week of March 9-16 2019. The house is decorated superbly, very comfortable and well stocked, and the beds felt like we were at home! I have nothing negative at all to say about the house or the property. It was perfect! The weather was a little less than desirable at this time of year but not horrible. It was extremely foggy for a few days but we were told it had to do with a recent weather front and we should be thankful it wasn't rain, and we were! I am looking forward to another visit to this beautiful beach house very soon. I promise you will not be disappointed with this property.

It was our first time to the island and all the locals were very nice. We loved this property. I don’t know where to start. From the moment we walked in we were amazed at how well this Home was stocked. We loved all bedrooms being on one level. We have small children and it was so nice to be able to be on the deck below the house out of the sun. The kitchen was nice and open and allowed us to prepare all our meals there. Going out to eat with little ones is tough so this was a must. We got fresh shrimp from Skinners and would definitely recommend that. We took the ferry over to Fort Morgan which is a must do if you’ve never done it. Our boys loved it! We are planning on going back to this hidden gem.

The house was great! It was well stocked, steps from the ocean and a good size. There is a public beach next to it but there are posts with private property signs up and people were very respectful. We loved the lower deck and fenced area that the kids could play in while we grilled.

We spent a week at this house with 6 adults and 3 kids that were 3 years and under in age. It was perfect for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. In fact, we wished we would have stayed 2 weeks! The house is RIGHT on the beach - you just walk down the stairs and there it is. It was wonderful to be that close with little kids. The upper deck has a gate that you can close so little kids can't get down the stairs. There are plenty of chairs on the upper deck and lower deck. The lower deck had a hose to wash your feet off. We used the outdoor shower to rinse off if we went swimming. We spent a lot of time sitting on the upper deck watching the dolphins and birds. There were plenty of sand toys for the little kids to play with. The fence around the beach helped keep the little people contained! There are 4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens and 1 with 2 sets of bunks). The bigger bedrooms faced the Gulf and one of the queen rooms had doors that opened onto the deck. The beds were comfortable too! The 4 bathrooms were great to have. We ate in the majority of the time to save money. (purchase your seafood from Skinners) The kitchen was the best equipped I've ever seen. It had Fiestaware plates, bowls, coffee cups and serving bowls/platters! Matching plastic glasses and matching glass glasses were also in the cupboards. There was a crockpot, electric frying pan, blender, mixer, big pot for boiling seafood, grilling utensils, corkscrew, nice frying pans and saucepans. The fridge had water and ice dispenser. The kitchen was huge with plenty of room for many cooks to prepare food. We had other family members join us for a meal and there was plenty of room 25. The one thing that I liked was that the table seated 10 so we could all sit together. There were 2 other leaves for the table that you could also put in. Great to have a washer and dryer in the house. We all washed clothes and towels while we were there. The only thing I wished the house had was beach towels - you had to bring your own. We were fortunate that we had family in the area that borrowed us some to use during our stay. The property company dropped of a pack and play for us to use which was great (remember to bring a sheet for it though) Rhonda and Amber were our contacts through the property management company and they were fantastic! I highly recommend this house - you won't be disappointed!

The house was just as beautiful as pictured. Everything was clean and in working order. The public beach access next door was not an issue. Everyone was really respectful of the beach area right in front of the house. We will definitely be back!
