Fantastisches Haus in ruhiger Strandnähe! Das Haus ist 2170 Quadratmeter groß und verfügt über 2 riesige umlaufende Veranden, ein zusätzliches großes separates Deck und viel Platz zum Entspannen. Zwei private Strandeingänge sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt! Wir sind nur ein paar hundert Meter vom berühmten Tybee Lighthouse, dem North Beach Grille und allen Annehmlichkeiten in der Gegend von North Tybee entfernt!

Wir sind auch direkt am Highway 80 auf der Nordseite der Insel. Wir sind nur ein paar hundert Meter vom historischen Tybee Lighthouse, dem North Beach Grille und allen weiteren Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in North Tybee entfernt!

We spent a peaceful weekend celebrating my husband's 63rd birthday at A Shore Thing. The large, gorgeously decorated home was immaculate and ready for us early! There was room for a large family, but we stayed in the Master bedroom and enjoyed the adjoining Jetted (Jacuzzi) tub. Even though it was a rainy, windy weekend, we still enjoyed the large wrap-around porches on the 1st and 2nd floors, each with ample places to sit and lounge. It was nice sitting and reading with the breeze cutting the warmth and the wind-chimes chiming. We had a small issue connecting to the wifi, but an email to Sean, the host, had the issue cleared up within a few minutes. There was an error on the guidebook website. Not only did he fix it for us, when I checked the site a few days later, I noticed it was fixed on the site as well. That is customer services, but both us and future guests. Oh, I almost forgot how incredibly helpful the house elevator was during our stay. Just before the trip, I sprained my hip. I could have slowly taken the stairs up all flights needed, but the elevator, made life so much easier during our trip. We paid for the optional golf cart access. Even though we ended up not using it due to the weather, it was nice knowing we had that option at a lower priced than renting on the island.
It was a very successful mini-vacation at an extremely nice home with any amenity we could wish for. We would stay again and would recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

We had a great vacation, despite hurricane Debby. We had wonderful communication with Sean and Katie about procedures and safety. The house provided everything we could need… plenty of TP, towels, and space. Location was ideal for exploring the beach during lulls in the hurricane and once the sun came out again. 😁. Only a couple things to note: 1. Garage floods with rain. 2. Air conditioner drips really bad in the garage. 3. We had 8 adults, so we put the extension in the table, that was perfect. However, there are not 8 dining chairs. The stools are too tall for the table. Even some folding chairs in the closet would have been fine. We ended up using the bench from the hall. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Great location. We have been going to Tybee for several years. Found the location great as it had quick access to the river beach and north beach. Short walk to Fort Screven beach access and Aquatic center which the littles loved.
We found the house layout great for our group. We had two families with 9 people and there was plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. Common areas were great. The wives loved the porches and found them great for a 'hidden' nap from the kids :-)
The neighborhood was extremely quiet with low activity which was great for families to get some rest and quiet after a long day of activities.

5 families chose to vacation at Tybee and ours stayed at "A Shore Thing". We had a great time. The house was as advertised. My wife's mother was disabled, so we had chosen this house based on the elevator and it worked great. We had everyone over a couple of times and cooked and played games in the main living area, which is very spacious and everyon enjoyed it. We chose to rent the golf cart and ran around the island mainly to shop and get treats. A close walk from the house was the beach. The beach was not packed and there was plenty of room to setup our Sun Ninja and chairs. Upon returning to the house, we used the outdoor shower to rinse off, very nicely located. I will mention that the beds were great. Everyone was very pleased with how comfortable they were and the great sleep we all had. This was a great stay!!!

Our family, including three adult children, had a great time on Tybee and A Shore Thing was just that. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the northern end of the island. Owners were quick to respond to questions and the golf cart made it super easy (and fun) to get around and saved on parking fees. Great home, super location. Would rent again.

Loved this place! After injuring my knee a few months ago the elevator was an amazing asset, very simple to use and for a private elevator it was very smooth. Checkin /checkout was simple, loved the information link for the house with all the detailed info. Simple to the point instructions that didn’t leave you wondering or second guessing on any detail. Beautiful short walk to the beach,gorgeous sunsets, powdery sand, loved using the two access. Very quiet neighborhood, walked to the lighthouse. Went to Savannah for the day. Ate breakfast at The Breakfast Club, good but we did have to pay 8.00 to park. (Seems like Tybee beach shouldn’t charge for parking in the wintertime, just my opinion:). Kitchen was very nice, plenty of room for a larger family. Hot water was amazing and the spa tub was great, never ran out of hot water. One grocery strore, IGA but others across the bridge aren’t that far. We had great weather during the 4 days we were there, only one rainy morning, for Feb great weather, actually got to 70 degrees on day. Would love to return later in the spring or fall. This was our families first trip to Tybee Island. We loved the house and location. We were able to bring our fur babies with us was awesome! We had such a fun time! The house had everything we needed.

Sean and Katie were amazing hosts. Home was in the ideal location with easy access to a private beach. We came along with our children, another family and furry children. The dog park down the street was amazing. Very friendly neighborhood with quick access to all what Tybee has to offer.
The home was fully stocked with towels, laundry and dish soap, ample T.P., glassware, great A/C, and room for our group of 8 + 3 dogs! Wagon and umbrellas were supplied along with beach toys.
Would stay here again, next time we visit Tybee!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The cookware was good quality, the beds were cozy, the furniture was clean and comfy. There was plenty of space to spread out. The north beach was quiet and peaceful, as always. We would definitely rent this house again.

We really needed to make sure we had the right property this last vacation given we were coming with Grandparents, an Aunt, Parents, an 8 month old, and 2 dogs :) - we could not have been any luckier than to find this house!
The location was perfect with close beach access and the North Beach community is great for all sorts of activities outside of strictly the beach-related stuff.
The house itself had plenty of space for the 6 of us (+ 2 dogs). It was very clean and updated, and had an open floor-plan in the main floor which was perfect for communal meals, games to play, etc.
The owners were extremely helpful and immediately responded if we had any questions about check-in/check-out, and amenities.
If (or I should say, "when") we come back to Tybee, we will definitely be making sure we have a shot to stay here before looking at any other property.

Loved the location close to Savannah. We enjoyed many restaurants…especially Bubba Gumbos for lunch (get there early) and Sugar Shack is a must!!!! We cooked in two nights and had all we needed in the kitchen. Mattresses were very comfortable as was the layout. Great shower pressure! For those with very young children you will have a walk to get to beach across small hills and boardwalks. We enjoyed our morning walks on beach and fireplace at night. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a great stay at this house. Everything was nice & clean. We had everything we may have needed during our stay such as extra linens & plenty of kitchen items to cook & have full use of the kitchen. The owners were great with communicating & quick to respond. The location was great we were walking distance from the beach. The neighborhood was nice as well and as a group of females we felt safe staying here. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 9 (mom, dad, 3 adult children/their sig others & 1 precious grandson) spent our New Years trip in this fantastic rental. Great open floor plan for family time. Location is awesome (straight shot to Savannah). Kitchen was well stocked with dishes/flatware/glasses for our big group. I’d recommend getting a larger skillet but otherwise, we had everything we needed. Rooms were spacious. 4th room w pullout sofa was tight and a foam topper would make it a bit more comfy. House is elegantly decorated. We loved every minute of our stay. Great communication from owners. Thank you!

Great Family Getaway
This house is great for families and only a short walk to the beach and a turtle pond. Offered everything we needed and more, including the elevator that came in handy getting our luggage to our rooms. We had a great time and look forward to coming back!

We had an awesome time at Tybee Island. This was our first visit since it was centrally located for all of our adult children. The house met all of our needs. Plenty of space for everyone and loved being on that part of the island. The beach was not crowded. We will be back.

Good house for family
The house is in a quiet neighborhood, is spacious, and the beds were comfortable. They provided plenty of supplies which was greatly appreciated and lots of beach stuff is provided also. There are wonderful porches to sit outside in nice weather. Unfortunately, there were a few inconveniences: there were critters in the attic that we heard all week, one of the bathroom sinks did not drain well at all & the vent in that bathroom needs replacing. It is a comfortable house and we still had a great time. Anytime I contacted the host, he answered immediately.

What a great property and a lovely visit! While we had a little kerfuffle with the cleaning staff and readiness of the property at check-in, Sean was immediately responsive & apologetic, took care of the situation, and had the staff onsite within 15 minutes. He was friendly and easy to work with.
The house itself is great! This was my 40th birthday weekend, and though I live on Wilmington Island nearby (15 minutes away), I wanted to have several friends and family come to town to visit. We booked this place due to its size & proximity to the beach. There were 7 adults and two children comfortably housed on this property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We really appreciated not having to bring beach towels, chairs, and carts, as those were provided (and there are air pumps for floats). And, for those of y'all who don't live down south, the screened porch is essential! I hope to work with Sean again in the future!!

Perfect family Vacation!
Very conveniently located if your looking for a quite beach spot. The home was perfect with max comfort and conveniences. The elevator was awesome to get things up and down when we first came in. They had everything to make it an awesome vacation. Loved the board games for the kids and the push cart to take the toys to the beach. It got really cold in the night and did not have enough blankets, could use some extra blankets. Also the door of the closet for the washing machine needs to be fixed, it almost fell on one of the kids. Thankfully someone was there and nobody got hurt. The place is perfect for 10-11 adults and or some kids but keep in mind, if the kids want to sleep separately they wont have enough beds as each room has a bed. Its great place if its just 4 couples. We loved the place overall, very comfortable.
