Room was nice with a nice view. Within an estate.

When we arrived, we had a delay at the westgate to gain access. We were not registered, we had to asked for directions to the Zimbali suits. There was construction work grinding and cutting done when we arrived. At 20:00 we asked the work men when they will be done and they said by 22:00. I send a message to Fatima to ask for assistance. After Fatima told me she referred it the noise stopped for a while but the continued to late it the evening. Early the following two morning the hammering and cutting continued. This morning we decided to book out as it became very unpleasant. The unit, the toilet paper holder was loose as well as the toiletseat. Fatima arranged for it to be fixed. But the toiletroll holder didn't last. The showers was mouldy. We wanted to stay in zimbali as we know the have rules as to noise, music etc. It was VERY 😞 as this was not the case. We did not enjoy our stay and wasn't willing to endure another night and morning with construction work.

The suite itself was beautifully decorated and clean. The dishwasher was a nice bonus. We enjoyed taking a walk on one of the hiking trails in the estate although we had to walk an extra 2km to get to the start of the trail and back again because we did not have golf carts. We also had a lovely and relaxed time at the swimming pools by the Bushbucks club.

The Hotel adjacent to the suites is not functional and lends an overall look of disrepair and abandon to the area. The staff didn't seem to know what facilities were available for use by the suite guests. Getting around without golf carts was a mission as was getting into the estate as all adults had to have their fingerprints scanned every single time.

The Zimbali estate is a beautiful and serene holiday destination. The suite was clean and has beautiful view of the estate. I enjoyed visiting the valley of the pools and sunbathing all day.

The amenities at the zimbali hotel are closed, so you can't access the pool.
