All amenities were there. Nice out look.

Arrived at 8pm and struggled to find the accommodation. Could have done with an outside light being on. Dishwasher was full up when we arrived, clean but I shouldn't have to empty it.

Lovely home with great facilities. Really a home from home.

The 2nd double bed was a little small and uncomfortable.

We loved the cottage, which was really comfortable and well designed. We loved the little balcony off the main bedroom with views over the stream and fields and enjoyed being able to sit outside and have breakfast. Everything was really well cared for and the rest of the estate, which the cottage was located on, was beautiful.

Delightful cottage close to onsite amenities. The photos don’t do this cottage justice . The owners have put a lot of attention to the detail and furnishing of this cottage including cushions, rugs, books, music CD’s and videos and board games. We were a party of 6 adults and made use of the bike and kayak hire onsite and the outdoor pool.

Lovely cottage with good size patio and lawn. Owners had obviously tried to think of everything you might need and there were plenty of inside and outside games. Instructions on how to use appliances was very detailed. Plenty of towels provided and a whole tray of tea/ coffee and biscuits was a nice touch. The downstairs areas were spacious with nice decor, 3 good bathrooms useful with 6 adults. The estate is so peaceful and relaxing and the facilities superb. We did hire bikes from the activity hub and used the outdoor pool every day (must book)

Small niggle - - Limited storage space as only one wardrobe on the landing between 3 bedrooms so if you were staying a whole week might be more of a problem to unpack. However I understand you can’t have everything and 3 bathrooms is great to have.

We had some issues with plumbing in bathroom but managed through the weekend stay. Finding cottage was a little tricky and some of the roads were very narrow for reversing. Recommend to owner to use '3 words' to help with anyone via What3word app on pre arrival info.

Carps Rise is a wonderful property, ideal for our family of 4 but can accommodate more. The hosts have thought of everything, information all left in a folder on the table. It’s literally like walking into a private cosy home. The treats left on the table are a nice touch. It’s very handy to have a washing machine too. It’s a beautiful estate; peaceful clean and very welcoming. Our boys loved the outdoor pool, which is warm even though it outdoors. All covid safe. The on-site restaurant Ballihooclub is wonderfully set out for all weathers and is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Roy emailed very easy directions into the estate and I loved the idea that the estate is private with coded gates. We will defiantly be returning again in the future. Thanks Roy & Sarah
