Great location, nice and helpful staff. Balcony with table and various chairs. Kettle, fridge and AC in the room.

Really dirty: sand insite the bed, between the sheets…webs and dirt everywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Our room had the most amazing sea view. It's just unforgettable. Many thanks to the staff for their help and service. We hope to return many more times!

it is a nice villa complex, consists of several buildings. birds, monkeys, lizards living in the area. it was nice to watch'em everyday from the terrace. it's a family hotel and the keepers are really nice, don't be afraid to ask them anything. its not far from the beach and dinings, even though its high to it lol

my building was really high. it demotivated to go anywhere, cause you know, you'll have to go back to the mountain. it was the view room, but only on the terrace. and its roof is too low, so you won't enjoy the view 100%. got troubles with hot water sometimes in the evenings, be prepared

Spacious and clean room, safe hotel with the guard. Great location - only 5 mins walk from the beach, though it's 1 km away from the main road. Quiet, clean and nice. Great value for money.

Only breakfast is available, and that too limited option. No hangers/hooks for the towels in the bathroom and for the clothes in the room. The shower hole was not done in a proper way so it takes a while for water to drain, and one has to stand in a puddle even if needs to wash hands.

spacious. we bought a family room. I was there with my friends. The room was really nice clean and spacious. It had a large bedroom and a large balcony. Owners were really nice. It is even really close to the beach.

Big clean rooms with generous balconies to chill out on. Very fairly priced. It is very close to the beach and all of the beach top restaurants but is tucked away up the hill and away from the noise and bustle.

Nothing really but just a a warning that my rave review doesn't mean it's a luxury hotel. It is not but it is friendly and great value.

Very calm and pious place with a nature surrounding. Also it is located within very close proximity to the beach. Rooms are very spacious and in very luxury condition.

The dirtiest room and bathroom I've ever seen, Sri Lanka and other countries included. Tens (hundreds?) of dead ants, a lot of insect/mouse? feaces on the walls/floor - before showering I actually washed the bathroom floor leading to huge amounts of this stuff floating on it. The room must have been not cleaned for months - the only explanation I can think is they were not expecting us so early and gave us the only available option. Nevertheless worst stay in the country. No hot water in the morning.

Nice view from room with balcony. As a own villa with high privacy. Mini kitchen. Really large balcony/terrace with ocean view. Very quiet.

WC is bit old and wet. Pipes is a cause of always wet floor. Furniture is old. Very hard upstairs road to the rock if you are with a child.

Location is good . I HAD A HUGE room with balcony up 3 flights of stairs with 2 double beds an enormous bathroom and an empty kitchen. Its a big rambling place so many different rooms. A bit confusing.

Its quite impersonal . There are almost no sockets in the room had to charge my phone in the bathroom. No water cooker No back up electricity during powercut.

very high up the hill and painful to climb if you were to book the sea view rooms. poor Wi-Fi!

The view was absolutely gorgeous and worth every cent. The walk up the hill was a good little thigh burning workout and the hosts where hospitable and friendly . Would stay again

The location is good, the road to the beach was about 7 minutes, near many restaurants with European food (but local chefs), many souvenir shops. The room was clean and big enough for two people and we were surprised that the room really had a rock! The hosts are hospitable, provided us with water when we arrived.

I didn't like the beach, it is very similar to our Russian resort city of Gelendzhik. It is better to go South, for example to Mirissa

200-300 meter from the beach. That is not far and not too loudly from music on weekends late evenings and nights. You may see sometimes some animals including monkeys. I was in three different properties of similar budget at Unawatuna. I would come back to this one more time.

Internet in our rooms was not always good speed. Sometime go close to lobby in order to get normal speed. Looks like it is not only in this property at Unawatuna)
