The title says it all... the cabin was perfect! The babbling brook was just the right volume, the forest noise were perfect, the walk thru the trees to the cabin was enough to see why the place is called Fern Hollow!

We were delighted by this secluded and charming cabin. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing, it's in a great location and Jan is a fantastic host. This cabin proved to be the perfect place to wind down our long days of fishing and exploring the Kenai Peninsula.

This cabin is just so cute and adorable tucked off in the woods. It is a short walk to your own private bath house and sits right next to a small creek. The wood burning heat is amazing to start up in the evenings to stay warm!

The huge picture window looked out onto a deep green forest. The near by stream provided a lovely melody every time we went outside.

What a beautiful spot to experience all the beauty of Alaska!! Jan met and welcomed us on arrival. He started a fire in the wood stove in our cabin to make it cozy!
The cabin and bath house are so quaint and beautiful. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of this perfect cabin in the woods! Thank you Jan for everything ❤️

This little cabin is so cool and unique. It was so fun to stay there. It was so relaxing to sit outside and read a book with a cup of coffee and listen to the little creek.

Beautiful spot close to the highway, super friendly hosts (with a sweet old dog, who is also very friendly) the babbling stream that runs by gives the fire pit a great ambiance. The wood stove only needs to be burned for a few minutes to get the cabin warm, and it holds the heat really well.
It's great to have a cute cabin experience, but also to have a fully functional and heated bathhouse with toilet, sink, and a hot shower.

Stayed here 2 nights with my son so we would be centrally located between Seward and fishing at Cooper Landing... just right. Very private, lovely cabin. Owner greeted us upon arrival, showed us how everything worked. Wish we had more time to stay! Owner went above and beyond when my son left his air pods behind... mailed them back to us in Virginia. Highly recommend!

Adorable, quiet and peaceful cabin tucked into the trees made this rental a great find. We really enjoyed all of the artistic touches inside and outside of the cabin and on the trail to the cabin and bathhouse. All in all this cabin is wonderful and we hope to stay here again.

Cute cabin
The cabin was cute and the host was awesome. Pay attention to the details of the listing. The kitchen consists of a microwave, coffee pot, and cold running water. Hot water and the bathroom/shower are in the bathhouse about 50 yards away. Bathhouse was awesome, clean, and worked well. Our only complaint was the vehicle noise from the road. The cabin is about 100-150 yards from the main roadbetween Coopers Landing and Seward, so the daytime noise was noticeable. Overall, this was a nice place to base out of and the owner was very easy to work with.

Out of town nice location!!
Close enough to town but in country to enjoy the outdoors. Clean place to stay. Bathroom was within close walking distance. Enjoy the running creek just below the cabin.

Relaxing stay
This is exactly what I was hoping for when I rented this place. Lots of trees, the sound of the creek running next to the cabin. It’s just a short walk up the hill to the bath house. Jan was very pleasant to chat with and made us feel comfortable. The detail he put into building the cabin is amazing!
The only downside is that you can hear the traffic on the highway but it didn’t bother us any. You can’t see the traffic at all though.
I would recommend this place for anyone who enjoys seclusion over city life.

True craftsmanship
The property is adorable. The cabin and surrounding area is really well done. The amenities are limited, but that’s part of the charm. Great little honeymoon spot.

Nothing Short of Amazing
Absolutely gorgeous! The cabin, the property, the babbling brook, just awesome! Hosts are very courteous and friendly. The trail down to the cabin is short, 30 yds or so and well maintained. Will definitely be back and miss it already. Thanks Jan for such an amazing stay.

Cutest cabin ever!
Jan, a master craftsman, put a lot of love into this cabin in the woods. We arrived on a cold Sept evening, and at first I was like what did i sign up for? But a fire in the wood stove made the place warm and cozy in 5 min, and the heater in the bathroom did the same! It was all amazing with fridge and microwave and great woodsy view out the big windows. I knew my husband would love it, and he did! Thank you, Jan! And his wife’s Zudy’s in Seward was awesome too!

Alaskan Anniversary
My wife and I stayed in Alaska for 12 days and the last 4 were at this cabin Moose Pass...this was HANDS DOWN our favorite place we stayed!! The property is absolutely beautiful with an amazing walking trail to the cabin, which is also one of the most beautiful wood working projects we've ever seen! The cabin was hand built by the owner and you can very easily tell the passion and skill that went into this incredible place! It gives you an amazing, authentic Alaskan experience while being completely surrounded by the gorgeous Chugach Forest! We will definitely be back and loved every minute of this place! Also if staying in the area you should go check out Zudy's down in Seward...they have the BEST panini's! :)

Enchanted Cabin
We had an amazing stay! It was a magical, enchanting cabin with no detail spared or overlooked. It was our favorite place in our Alaskan adventure! It was a great location just far enough out but still close to everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend.

Cute little cabin
My friend and I stayed at this charming little cabin in Moose Pass. It was conveniently located a half an hour drive from Seward. The wood stove kept it cozy in the evening and Jan, the owner, was quick to respond when we contacted him about some difficulty with hot water in the bath house. Our only disappointment was that we never met the dogs.

An upgrade from camping
This had a cozy little cabin nested in the back yard of the owner. There was no bathroom attached to the cabin, but it was a 30 second hike to the toilet/shower. The downside to the cabin was the shades. Lots of windows, but no shades. Somewhat difficult to sleep in during summer months without the shades.

Beautiful cabin and area!
Jan was friendly and easy to communicate with online before our stay. We loved the area, about 35 min drive from Seward. Quiet cabin in the woods, beautifully built and the space was so nice with cute walking paths and decor along the way. We really enjoyed our experience!

Enchanting
I’ve stayed here a couple of times. It’s about 30 mins fm Seward so I like to stay when I’m taking friends on the boat in Seward. The craftsmanship and little touches on this cabin and property are so delightful!
It has a bunk bed. Twin on top and full on bottom. The shower house is up a little hill. It was raining a little bit but it was still fun bc it felt like an enchanted fairy garden.
I will definitely be coming back with more friends!!!
