The communal washer/dryer was right outside our door which was great because we had loads of laundry with the baby. The location can't be beat. The apartment was cozy and a perfect amount of space for us.

The Puffin was very clean, modernized, and a perfect place to stay. It had a complete kitchen, living room / dining area, and 2 spacious bedrooms with queen size beds.
There was mention of low ceilings, I am 5' 6" and there wasn't any problem. I would guess if you are 6 foot or under, you will not have a problem.
It is about 100 steps to the beach and about 150 steps to the Mall area which is filled with shops and various restaurants. It is a ground floor, 2 steps down and very easy to load and unload. It has on-site parking and another off-site parking permit included. It also has 4 beach passes ($25.00 each for a week otherwise).
There is a washer and dryer right next to the entrance door. It has outside shower with hot and cold water. There is covered space for beach gear, but I kept mine in the back of the SUV. This is the 4th site I've been to in Cape May and it is a 10, the others were a 4 or 5. The owners communicated throughout from when we first booked. They left all the details you need to know on the refrigerator. They set up the door code for you and it is emailed a few days ahead. I definitely will stay there again.

My best friend and I had the most amazing time. The apartment was perfect for us and the porch was magical to sit on and watch the activity. The location cannot be beat!!! Just park your car and walk everywhere!!! The only minor issue was that the bedroom is very bright at night. The neighbors have their lights on until well after midnight and it lit up the room. Luckily I had brought a sleeping mask just in case. Black out curtains would help. I’m sure it wouldn’t bother many people but I can’t sleep if it isn’t dark.
We loved our stay and are hoping to stay here again!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

The Terrace is an ideal place to stay in Cape May. Half a block from the beach, one block from shopping district. Restaurants are just a walk away. On site parking. Terrace was spotless, nicely furnished and up to date. We will be back. My first 10 out of 10 rating.

We loved it here for our short stay in Cape May! It was a nice place, clean and easy to access on the ground level. And it was in a perfect location close to the beach and shops and restaurants. We will be looking to stay again in the future.

Working with Eileen was great. She communicates very well and shares all the ins and outs. The location is awesome! 1/2 block to Washington Mall and 1/2 block to Beach. You can't get any better in Cape May. There are 2 parking spots provided (which is a huge perk if you know Cape May). One is behind the house and one is at an offsite lot a few blocks away. Again.. really great perk! The condo itself was super clean, really nice upgrades, and very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and sofa bed is very high quality.. no bars.. a great mattress. Both bedrooms are nice sizes and the kitchen was well stocked. Bathroom updated and very nice as well. I spent a week with a friend and I really liked just stepping down 2 steps and being in the condo. It was really easy for packing and unpacking the car because you can pull it into the driveway right next to the door for loading and unloading (private entrance). Going up on the porch was really easy as well and it is super nice to site on Jackson street and watch the ambiance. I had my morning coffee on the porch and enjoyed reading on it after the beach. Overall this is an amazing place to stay.. a real gem... I look forward to staying here again!

We had a very nice stay at the Puffin! It is perfectly located within walking distance to everything desirable in Cape May. The Puffin was clean, easily accessible, and came with a parking space. The space was tight, but made it much nicer to not have to worry about walking a long distance for parking. Will stay again!

We stayed in the Terrace Suite at the Puffin while in town for the Escape the Cape Triathlon. Upon walking in, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well set up it was. The location couldn’t be better as it’s near great restaurants, the mall and beach. Eileen and Joe were easy to work with and provided detailed info prior to arriving. Would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean, everything was updated and in good working order and the location was perfect. Eileen was also great to work with. We especially enjoyed sitting up on the porch on a rainy Saturday afternoon playing games! Would definitely go back!

This location, right on Jackson, was perfection. To be able to walk everywhere and come home to your cozy home was wonderful! Right across the street from The Virginia! We sat on the porch every morning with our coffee and we had wine/cheese during the afternoon out there as well. Parking is very tight in the back, but I'm sure during crowded times, it is important to use the extra off site space they provide! The small suite really has everything you need. It seems they thought of everything. It is clean and well stocked. There is no view from inside the suite, which is a little odd in the morning, when you can't see outside, but we totally knew this going in to it. It did not hinder our stay at all; it just made us motivated to get out on that lovely porch. No matter what time of year you go, Cape May is absolutely awesome and beautiful. Would love to stay here again in the off-season.

Our family of 5, with 3 young children, had the best time at the Puffin Terrace. The size was just right for us, the location is unbeatable, and I can't underestimate how responsive and available the owners were. It was also very helpful to have a basement-level/first floor space with no walk-up, given our young children.

Our 2 year old granddaughter delighted in greeting vacationers as they strolled the most Victorian street in CapeMay, Jackson street. Greatest location for closeness to best beach and Washington Street Mall. A small gem!

My daughter and her friend were able to stay at your place. Overall they felt the place was in a great location and had all amenities needed. The parking was a bit tricky and thankfully there was not another car parked at the time they needed to park. You may also want to disclose that the apartment is in the basement level right next to the laundary room. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

You can hear everything happening in the unit above you. Not horrible unless you have a couple fighting in the early morning hours.

This little unit was perfect. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Quick walk to shopping , restaurants and the beach. Great shared deck to have a glass of wine or lunch. Only downside is that it doesn’t have a view- but we knew that beforehand. We were very pleased and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our long weekend away. The prime location meant we could walk to enjoy nearly everything Cape May has to offer. Clean and roomy suite despite being the lower level.
Take heed to the on site parking notice - they’re not kidding when they say it is a bit tight. But we had no issue with our small car.

We’ve stayed at this property in the past and will do so in the future. It’s rooms at comfortable and clean. Cook in or eat out at the many fine restaurants an easy walk away. Also an easy walk to the beach and shopping.

My daughter and I recently spent a few days in Cape May. I was lucky enough to find the perfect place to stay at The Puffin - Terrace Suite. This two bedroom, one bathroom suite was perfect for our Mother-Daughter get away. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the suite and how nice the rooms were. The kitchen area was very well stocked. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. The Puffin is in a great location! Very close to the beach, many restaurants and the Washington Mall. I loved the fact there was onsite parking for one car, although there is the option of a second parking space a few blocks from the Puffin. Parking in the back of the building was tight, but, I have a small car so I had no issue at all. We only took the car out to go to Sunset Beach and the light house, otherwise we walked to everything. We loved the convenience of being able to walk to most areas. There is a grocery store within walking distance as well. I know Cape May is known for it's Bed and Breakfasts but I found this suite to be so much better for us!! There is a washer and dryer for the renters' use as well. Other reviewers have called this suite as being in the basement but that is not true at all. It is really two small steps down from street level. I would definitely stay here again. It was truly a fun experience!!

The Puffin House is PERFECTLY located; right in the thick of things in Cape May. Within 3 minute walk from the beach, restaurants, the shopping mall ETC. The Front Porch was our favorite place on the property. We ate dinner and had drinks out there. The Terrace Apartment is spacious for 2 or 4, and clean. We'd definitely stay here again! THANKS!

This property was perfect for us with a 5 month old. Most nearby units have steps up the front porch but as the listing says it is only two outdoor steps and then one indoor step into the unit which made it very easy to get the stroller/carrier inside. Having a washer/dryer right outside the unit was a big perk for traveling with a baby also. We rented a crib through one of the preferred linen rental companies. Location is perfect, just steps from the Washington Mall shops and less than a block to the beach. The unit was clean and plenty of space for a small family. The front porch was a nice spot to enjoy a takeout dinner. Some reviews mentioned the low ceilings as a negative but I barely noticed (6ft). The on-site parking spot is a tight squeeze and requires some careful maneuvering but it was so convenient; anything bigger than a standard sedan would probably need to use the off-site spot which is an easy 5 minute walk away. We'll definitely be back!

The Terrace Suite is a block from the beach one way and a block from the shops/restaurants the other way. Couldn't ask for a better spot. Suite was clean and updated with on-site parking. Enjoyed sitting on the porch with coffee and people watching. We were a family of five between the ages of 12 and 80 and everyone had a great time. Have stayed in other guest houses and this was the best. Owners made it very easy. Will definitely return.
