Reviewer Comments: Our family of six come to Sanibel regularly as a much anticipated and favorite family vacation getaway. We are long time clients of Sanibel Holiday and have stayed at this Bandy Beach condo several times in the past with good experiences. However, this time, when our flight arrived late Saturday night, we were disappointed to find our condo grounds flooded and dirty due to heavy rains the previous week. The parking lot and entire pool area had several inches of dirty stagnant water that we had to walk through in order to get to condo. The elevator was flooded. The internet was poor. Our family has two online university students that were unable to access classes due to weak wifi. The next morning and Monday was more of the same with beach access having mid-calf dark colored water to walk through in order to get to beach. We felt these conditions were very unpleasant and unsafe so we went to Sanibel Holiday first thing Monday morning to notify them of the same. They called owner and we were able to let us move to another condo at a Blue Gulf location on Tuesday. With a family of six, the move took most of the day to get all packed, carry luggage through water, condo cleaned, bikes moved, and then unpacked again but at least we were now able to utilize parking lot, pool, and beach access without walking through flood waters.

The location, space of the condo and view are amazing! But extremely disappointed by the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with mixed matched dishes that many had stains or chips in them. Small appliances like the can opener was all rusted. Most of the furniture was past it’s life span like the mattresses, couches and outdoor patio furniture. The furniture felt like it should be in a cabin not a high end condo on the beach. The heated pool NEVER worked the whole week. Call the management company a few time throughout the week to get it fixed since We were traveling with our 3 kids. The pool never was fixed, and was colder than the ocean in November. When we checked into the location the management company said the AC wasn’t really working and would be fixed in a day or two. We would go down the road to a different location for the same rate with a better view on the ocean.

Awesome, the entire upper level is unit . Very clean loved it , only down sofa recliners don’t work. Both front bedrooms are like master suites, with a view of the ocean.

Fabulous condo. Plenty of room for all of us. Spacious Lani for all to gather and enjoy. Private & quiet. The couple of little things I ran across that were not 100% weren't enough to affect our visit this time OR any time in the future. Thanks and see you again soon.

Overall, great stay. It was our first time in Sanibel and would definitely go back. The 2nd floor view was great! Kitchen was great for meals in. Beds were comfortable. Washer and dryer worked fine. The sofa and recliners in living room will likely need replaced shortly, but are serviceable....but who needs a sofa and chair when you have a lanai with a beach view?!?!?! Our family had great times on the lanai! The property is also 1/2 mile from the lighthouse. Visit the lighthouse area during lower tide to see sea snails, horseshoe crab, etc., along with collecting sea shells and spotting other wildlife.

The view is definitely better from the upper unit. Love the location: easy walk to the Lighthouse area; it is away from the busyness of downtown; quiet; and is easy to take the back way and miss the traffic on Periwinkle Way. This unit's furniture may be a bit dated, none of the couch recliners were operational. We were surprised to find a partially filled beer can on the knick knack shelves along with food on the floor around the couch. Those few detractors didn't take away from enjoying the property. Was sad to leave, the winds died down by Wednesday giving us great days on Thursday and Friday. Would we come back again, you betcha :)

The property was exactly as stated. Very clean and spacious. Full service kitchen. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out and have our alone time. Best part is the lanai with its gorgeous view of the gulf. We spent a lot of time sitting and enjoying the view. It was so peaceful and we could hear the waves. The condo was near the pool. We pretty much had it to ourselves. There was a grill on site which we used twice. It was well maintained. The Lighthouse Cafe was across the street which made a great breakfast. Other restaurants were a easy bike ride away. We will diffinately stay again. The only thing I would recommend is a wagon to be able to load up your beach supplies to take down to the beach and maybe a couple new beach chairs which sit lower to the ground. So glad though for what was provided as my husband and I spent several days enjoying the sand and the surf.

We stayed in September 2020. Four adults. This property at the quiet end of a quiet island was perfect! The unit is very well appointed, beautifully furnished, and comfortable. It's within easy walking distance of the Lighthouse Cafe (great breakfast spot) and easy biking distance of most of Sanibel's other restaurants and shops. Walk down the beach to the lighthouse or walk in the other direction for beach cafes and tiki bars. Bandy Beach is a small resort, so you won't feel crowded at all. I highly recommend this unit.

My family of six absolutely loved our stay at Bandy beach. We were able to use all the amenities and enjoy the beach even with COVID restrictions on the island. We actually brought all of our food and were able to cook all meals in the well equipped unit. The separate laundry ROOM was a fantastic surprise. We recommend Bandy Beach and Sanibel Holiday to anyone looking for a hassle free getaway with style!

From the online reservation, the self check-in, the convenient elevator to the unit, location and overall condition of the Bandy Beach property and quick check-out procedures, our Sanibel Island beach getaway was blissful! The unit itself is well-kept and appears as if recently renovated with a nice kitchen and bathrooms and it’s laundry room is a big plus; however, the furnishings are a bit dated and it has a broken recliner at one end of the sofa. Other than that, the accommodations are wonderful. It’s situated within walking distance to the lighthouse park and fishing pier and the beach was as calm as could be during our stay. A week in Sanibel / Captiva was just what our family needed during the ongoing coronavirus crisis. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.
