This was our second time on Sanibel Island, and our second time in this condo. This first time was before Hurricane Ian and we were so sad when we saw the devastation. The renovated condo is absolutely beautiful and super comfortable. Loggerhead Cay is also an amazing complex - close to the beach, very quiet, a large pool, shower station as you enter/exit the beach, and wonderful sunrise views. The owners of the condo were super responsive, communicative and helpful. We stayed for two weeks and would do that again without a second thought. Can't say enough wonderful things about the condo, the complex, the beach, and the island.

Our family of 4 spent a wonderful week here. The Condo is in a great location and all of the necessary beach items were provided. There was some work going on at Loggerhead but none of it affected us at all. We would absolutely stay here again.

This ground unit at Loggerhead Cay is a beautiful gem that has been meticulously remodeled since Hurricane Ian. It has everything you could need to make your stay comfortable, and the property manager was very communicative to ensure that our stay was perfect. Unfortunately, I had to work while on vacation, and this unit has super high-speed internet that allowed me to Zoom without problems. Additionally, the TV options were also impressive. This is truly a five-star property!

The unit was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. It was great to be back at Loggerhead. A broom would have been helpful to keep the sand off the lanai. Also, the supplies are a bit skimpy. A person shouldn't have to bring their own toilet paper on vacation. Everything else was fantastic. Would stay here again.

Wonderful condo in Sanibel just steps from the beach! First floor with great screened in porch leads to a sidewalk down to the best sea shelling, strolls along the water, book reading, dolphin watching, afternoon snoozes & sunsets! The condo is equipped with everything we could’ve needed, along with beach towels, beach chairs & cart. You thought of every detail. We so enjoyed getting back to Sanibel after Hurricane Ian & your condo was absolutely PERFECT & gorgeous! Thank you for more Sanibel memories for our family!

The owner of the condo has excellent communication. I had a minor issue and it was resolved immediately. The condo was clean, welcoming and quiet. You can not hear the people above or to your side. It’s the ground floor which is amazing as far as loading and unloading beach items, and no steps to unload the car. The showers were clean and the water pressure was great. The front bedroom was a big dark as it is only lit by a single lamp, the kids didn’t mind. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed for the week as we did cook at times. The one cup coffee maker was tricky for me. I thought I could fill it up like a Keurig, nope! Only fill it up for how much you want for that one cup of coffee. It will keep brewing until the water is gone:). The washer made a lot of noise, but was excellent to have as I washed items daily with 5 of us there. The dryer dried everything on the first cycle. Internet never went out on us, and we didn’t watch tv while we were there. Floors were clean and free of sand and dirt. The pool is just a short walk away. Overall we would 100% rent this exact condo again.

Condo Issues
We have been using VRBO for several years and unfortunately this year's vacation was not at all pleasant.
From the cleanliness to appliance issues.
These are the issues we had:
1. There was dust on every surface of the condo, from the furniture, to ceiling fans, to ceilings and walls.
2. The floors were dirty and NOT mopped. Sand every where.
3. Rugs were filthy, full of dirt, sand and dust balls. So much so we had to roll them up our selves and remove them from living spaces.
4. Bathrooms (both) were dirty, counters, hairs on floor and shower, cabinets looked like sometning had been speed on them, mirrors as well.
5. Both showers had a bad odor and were clogged. We had to buy Drano so thatt black grud didnt fill the shower as we bathe.
6. Dining room table (glass top) was wiped with something dirty but never cleaned below. You could see food smudges.
7. Kitchen counters were dirty, food in corners , wiped around appliances. The cabinets inside and out were dirty. Mishmosh of things in some cabinets.
8. Broom closet was filthy (would be better served as storage) since there was no storsge for groceries.
9. Refrigerator started making an explosion sound at 2am in the morning on Wednesday and didnt stop for 2 hours. Then freezer started to not work.
10. The dryer NEVER worked. We ran out of clean clothes and had to buy.
11. Front bedroom VERY dark - needs more lights.
12. Outside patio had more sand on the floor and tables. Beach xhsirs were rusty,torn and we could barely use 3.
13. Storage closet next to washer & dryer was FILTHY and we could not use.
14. There was trash under the beds and sofa in living room.
Overall it was not a pleasant trip.
If I were the owner i would not be happy with the maintenance of this property.
We will NOT be returning to this unit.

Great Family Spot
Listing described the property completely. We are a family of 5. There are plenty of beach towels, sand toys, chairs and even a beach cart. The kitchen is well stocked. We normally eat in the majority of time. This unit even had a crock pot which is a great for families like ours. We will definitely be back!

Our happy place
We have been visiting SANIBEL every year for over 20 years. It is relaxing and beautiful. We have stayed in several different properties over the years but this was the first time at LOGGERHEAD CAY. Our unit was #451. It was wonderful…it was clean and comfy and nicely appointed. We hope to return soon.

Beautifully!
The condo is beautiful. Decorated nicely in Tommy Bahama style decor. The unit is a first floor unit making very easy to get to the beach. This condo is on the end and has an extra screen which increases the cross breeze. We never tried out the pool as we love the ocean and the pool was very busy. The ocean is a short walk down the court yard path. The beach does fill up right in front of the condos, you just have to walk to the left or right side for a little more space. There is boogie boards, beach cart, umbrellas and chairs for you to enjoy. Our only complaint is that it is hard to rent for two weeks because this condo is very popular.

We loved the solitude.
Our experience at Loggerhead Cay was one that we look forward to repeating next year! Our unit was clean and spacious and the grounds surrounding the complex were very clean and well maintained. We were amazed at how quiet it was at our condo, especially at night...we had a first floor unit and we couldn't hear any signs of life above us at all. I've never stayed anywhere on vacation that was so quiet and peaceful!
We highly recommend reserving tricycle bikes from Finnimore's bicycle shop before you arrive. Ours were delivered and waiting for us outside our unit when we arrived. They were in great condition and proved invaluable and fun for our week stay. We were able to avoid the inevitable traffic on Periwinkle Way for most of our stay by using our bikes to get around. We had a rental car that used for our longer trips.
We're already discussing what we want to do next year in and around Sanibel and look forward to returning to our little slice of paradise at Loggerhead Cay.

This condo was in a very nice development in my favorite area of Sanibel. Very quiet. Had great shuffle board and tennis courts. Super convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Comfortable beds and very well stocked kitchen.

Lovely property on beautiful Sanibel
This was a nicely decorated, well equipped unit wirh a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen had all the needed utensils. There were games, puzzles, sand toys, and a fantastic selection of books.
We are two senior couples and we are definitely renting it for next year.

This wasn’t our first trip to Sanibel but once again, it was amazing. The condo was clean, comfortable and was just enough space for us!! Only downfall with condo was lack of kitchen utensils, there weren’t enough serving spoons, bowls with lids, and can opener that worked. Other than that, condo and experience was amazing.
