Very accurately described - cozy cottage walking distance to downtown Galena - owners were very communicative and house was clean and well maintained. Would be nice to have some more patio furniture, firepit type things as there's a spacious yard -

Enjoyed our time in Galena! Had to drive everywhere, since I had an elderly person with me who could not have walked the hills. A little tricky for her to get down the stairs to the front door of the house but the sturdy railing helped. The main floor bedroom and bathrooms were great for her. No bathrooms on the second floor, but that was OK for those of us who slept up there. Was glad there were two bathrooms. I really liked having no house chores to do the morning we left. Only had to put the key in the lock box. The house gave us a lovely opportunity to visit, make meals and relax.

This cute little home is nestled into the historic district. It was extremely inviting, clean, and worked perfectly for our girls trip. Aaron was great and super responsive to messages. Just one note, if you plan on walking to downtown Galena be prepared for hills! The walk is not far though. Would definitely recommend this home to stay in and would absolutely stay here again!

House was just as described. It is within walking distance but if you do shop til you drop you should take your vehicle to have a place to drop your bags off. You have some hill to walk if not. Overall great experience, no trouble.

Perfect Location
Very nice house with plenty of space. Great two full baths. Really had everything we needed. We love being outside and spent most of our time sitting out front. Loved the neighborhood atmosphere and had a chat with a few people walking their dogs.

Feels like home
This property is not fancy, but it is the cleanest, most well maintained and best stocked property we have used.
There is a Keurig coffee maker and a drip maker. We weren’t sure about the Keurig but we took coffee in case. Perfect!
We will all remember the dog in the corner.

Great Winter Getaway
Spent a week here in January. Host was very responsive and friendly. Close to downtown Galena, but house is on a private side street. Well equipt kitchen - we cook quite a bit while away and one of the best stocked we have stayed at in terms of utensils, pans, etc. Excellent table for puzzles.

My girlfriend and I stayed here tonight and enjoyed the cozy living area. Kitchen as well stocked, and towels were very fresh in the bathroom.

Convenient Location
Overall the location was perfect. House is older and outdated but fit our needs for the 2 nights that we spent there. There was a beautiful deer on the property that I noticed from the kitchen window one morning. Owner communicated promptly, which was greatly appreciated.

Comfy, clean, and close to town!
Our family and dog stayed at the cozy cottage for three nights while we explored the Mississippi Palisades area. The house is old, but it is very comfortable and clean. Beds are great, kitchen well stocked with all dishes and appliances, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Easy, yet hilly, walk to downtown. Owners were friendly and made check-in/check-out a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

Comfy, quiet, and convenient
This is the second time we’ve stayed and it’s been a real haven both times. Clean, comfortably furnished and had everything we need, including a good coffee selection for the morning after a long drive! Quiet neighborhood with great opportunities to stroll in historic “Quality Hill” area, easy to access downtown shopping and restaurants, or grocery stores and fast food up on the hill. Highly recommended!!

There is a rear entry for dogs and humans that is really convenient if weather is super cold or nasty and you want to transition from boots and coats to comfort. It isn’t a fancy space, yet it is comfortable space that is easy to settle into and claim as home for a long weekend.
