A group of friends and I stayed here for a cozy winter weekend getaway, and it was the perfect setting for that. Hot tub and fireplace were a big hit, and the spacious living and dining room allowed us to all gather together. Would go back!

Comfortably accommodated our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) & was relatively close to our camelback skiing activity. House was clean & kitchen had what we needed to cook & eat in house. Was great for our short weekend ski trip.

- plenty of space for our group of 8
- hot tub was clean, ready & easy to use
- large table with plenty of chairs to eat at
- living room couches were comfortable
- kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals.
- downstairs game room was great for the kids
- VRBO landlord was reachable via text & responded quickly.
- overall a very good experience for our group. 2 thumbs up!

Cons (just for an honest review):
- narrow steps at front entrance made loading & unloading our luggage into the house a bit more difficult than I’d prefer.
- small kitchen made cooking with more that 1 persons at time spatially challenging but was fine for our short stay.

Perfect for family vacation no matter what time of the year. Perfect size and very lovely are with wildlife. If you want to relax and just enjoy yourself friends family hang out by the fire with a adult beverage, you will love this place.

My friends and I make an annual trip to the Poconos for a weekend of R&R. This house was perfect for that. It’s clean, cozy, and accommodating to large groups. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of rooms. The lower level is a bit cold but some may like that. The hot tub is a wonderful treat. We had a family of deer checking us out as we were enjoying the hot tub. And the dining room table is HUGE. This was perfect for the amount of food we had and we were able to spread out. We barely left the house. We ate, made a fire, and reminisced about high school and life. It was just what we all needed. Jack was the perfect host. He was responsive and so welcoming.

Our family of 10 including a 2.5 year old and an 8 month infant and two dogs enjoyed our stay.
The hot tub and fire pit were a hit for everyone.
There was enough space for all including beds and dining although the kitchen area is kind of snug cooking for our crew.
Enjoyed everything but swimming and fishing from the dock are not an option as the water is only a foot or two deep.

We enjoyed our family vacation! There was plenty of room for our group of 8 and the crib was a bonus for the 19 month old. Everything was clean! We enjoyed the kayaks during the day and the fire pit and s’mores at night. Jack checked with us via text on our arrival day to make sure all was good. I would definitely recommend for a great family get away!

very nice house. Does have A/C but not central and some units can be loud. Would not have been a problem except of the baby. Lot of steps in the house. Toaster oven was broken. Door literally fell off. when we tried to open. Owner did offer to replace while we were there. Overall nice property and we did enjoy our stay. On a side note tennis courts in community were AWFUL. dangerous to play on.

Lovely location with a dock on the lake. Our extended family with small children loved the lake, kayaking, roasting marshmallows on an open flame and easy walks to the pool. Thank you for the 5 tags - extra folks for the pool are $12 each. House is rustic but big enough for our crew of10. Would recommend bringing sheets and whatever special kitchen stuff you might need or asking if it’s there. Owner was attentive and communicative - no problems there.

We had a decent stay but were disappointed with a few things. Mostly the fact that you’d have to pay to use the beach or pool in the community. The lake by the house is very shallow and dirty. The kids couldn’t swim there. So it was very disappointing we’d have to pay if we wanted to be able to be in deeper, cleaner water. We felt like this should have been included since we paid to stay in the community. Being unable to use the hot tub was also disappointing. It was pretty cool when we stayed and we would have loved to use the hot tub. The house itself was nice and clean and we enjoyed the house. The check in was a very long process so be prepared to wait for 30+ mins when you check in.

This property was absolutely amazing! Plenty of room for all of us. The lake views from anywhere in the house are beautiful and bountiful! My partner and I enjoyed sneaking out of the basement door to enjoy our morning tea and kayaking on the dock while everyone was asleep. The dock was awesome (even had a ramp for the kayaks!) and the campfire on the shore of the lake was perfect for an evening fire and stellar views. The wildlife was abundant there too! The deer and fawns came so close! Ducks, frogs, i think we saw a mink maybe! You wont regret renting this property and the Host Jack was nothing short of accomadating and awesome. Will definitely be back!

We loved the property and the house itself, it would be perfect for a getaway any time of year and we hope to return in the future! One small issue with the TV on the main level not working, but it is what it is and Jack tried to fix it while we were there.

This was a lovely spot for the family getaway we had. Home was exactly as depicted in pictures. Comfortable and spacious for the large group we had. Hot tub was perfect. Neighborhood was quiet. Jack (the property owner) was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would love to come back.

Couldn’t be happier! The property was well taken care of and had great views! I actually utilized the dock on the lake for an engagement. In the evenings the deer walk right up to the back door. I look forward to staying here again.

This home was adequate for our family group, having a nice dining area/living room where we spent most of our time inside. The room air conditioner on the upper bedroom level did not seem up to the job of keeping that area cool enough though, and the joined-twin king bed was not that comfortable. Beds in the very cool basement were comfortable, but I was very glad I had brought a white noise machine, since the intermittent loud noise of the nearby dehumidifier would have kept me awake. My grandkids loved learning how to play foosball on the basement table, an added bonus. The kitchen area is small but was well-stocked and fine for the one person in our family who enjoys cooking. The exterior situation at the house was a big disappointment however. I chose this home after many hours of searching for a place on a lake with a small sandy beach area where my young grandkids could play. While the photos still show a sandy beach here, it is actually now gravel (maybe to prevent the abundant geese and ducks on the lake from enjoying it too much?). The shoreline is extremely mucky and plant-filled, and the lake, as far out as we paddled in the provided kayaks, is quite shallow. Of the 3 kayaks offered for use, only one can make a trip out on the lake without taking on water through the holes in the bottom. After deciding to try the community beach, we were horrified by the incredible amount of waterfowl droppings that had been allowed to collect all over the sand and dock, making it totally unusable; this was cleaned up only once during our 6-day stay, to our knowledge. Due to staffing shortages we were unable to take out paddleboats from the dock even when it had been cleaned. Luckily the community pool and adjacent playground area were very nice, and the kids enjoyed spending time there most days. I had not been aware that this was a huge gated community, but we found enough other things to do in the surrounding area that our stay here was ok.

Large house with lots of bedrooms and spacious rooms for eating and entertaining indoors and outdoors. Lake access for kayaking with fire pit is an added bonus. The lake is private and quiet and beautiful. The only negatives we found were that you cannot swim in the lake from the property's dock - too muddy - you have to walk or drive to the community beach - and the location of the house is on a very busy and noisy street. Cars/trucks/motorcycles often disrupted the tranquility of the place.

Large 5 bedroom house on beautiful lake in gated community, Home is very family friendly with large TV over fireplace. Excellent spacious living space for 6 adults plus a two year old. Community has beautiful pools. Tennis and basketball also available. Owner was quickly responsive.

First off pictures on Vrbo website were a far cry from what it actually looked like, the lake area was overgrown metal and wood everywhere, broken furniture thrown like trash in the weeds, shows a sandy beach was none just rocks deck table that you wouldn’t let your dog eat off, front steps falling apart and when we contacted Vrbo on hold for 2 hours no help whatsoever,owner in New York sent someone to fix after the fact and a complete jerk,no one cared so we left. Trust me if you have high hopes for a nice property and great experience look elsewhere.

My extended family and I rented this house for the week between Christmas and New Years. We had 9 adults, 1 toddler and a baby, and felt like we had plenty of room! We liked that the bedrooms were spread out between upstairs, main floor and downstairs. There was even a Christmas tree in the living room, which was a nice surprise!
We throughly enjoyed the hot tub. Both TV’s have every app you could want, which was great for watching movies and sports.
The view from the dock was awesome. We enjoyed making a fire one night in the fire pit. The playground for my toddler was within walking distance - added bonus! Thanks for a great stay!

Pre-Christmas family weekend
The house was clean and beautiful and big enough for all of us. We had 8 adults, 2 children and a baby and a dog. The property was as advertised and suited our needs. The furniture was comfortable and the location was nice. The host quickly answered any questions we had. Loved using the fireplace and hot tub. We enjoyed our time away and would recommend.

Fantastic value
So many great things about this place! This is one of the most private houses on the lake. The home is open and feels spacious but feels cozy. The hot tub is great! There isn't much that feels better than walking down to the lake with your morning coffee. Or sitting around the lakeside fire pit at night. We shopped around for lake house rentals obsessively and found this to be the best price with everything we wanted.

This was my first experience in the Poconos and only my second experience with VRBO. This property is outstanding: great location, excellent communication with property owner, wonderfully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and more!

Easy check in and Jack was very available to communicate with! Spent most of our time enjoying the deck and the dock! The deer were an extra bonus! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kayaks were a hit also!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
I have to begin by saying how receptive Jack is to any questions we had. A very quick response and he made the entire trip seem effortless on our part. His gracious and friendly demeanor makes us want to book another vacation right away. His home and property are straight out of a storybook. Unfortunately words can't express how magical of a place this is. Our entire group, including three dogs immensely enjoyed our stay. From early morning muffins and coffee on the dock watching the lake come alive with sights and sounds of wildlife, to peacefully kayaking across the water, grilling over a lakefront firepit, and everything in between. His immaculate home combined with the views is something everyone needs to experience on their own. There is literally something for everyone in the family to partake in; not to mention the amenities that come with the stay. His home boosts a warm atmosphere from the moment you step foot into the dining room. Each room has a special ambience and the soft touches of rolled towels in the bathrooms and decorative pillows on the couches and beds made it feel like home. I highly, highly recommend this stay to anyone in search of a very unique vacation or getaway. I can't thank you enough for sharing your home and experiences with us!
