My wife and I wanted to swap the flat, green landscape, typical ocean and beaches and the forever warmer climate of Central Florida for some cooler fall weather, fall colors and beautiful, picturesque mountains. We chose Chattanooga Tennessee and we were not at all disappointed. We researched places to stay in the area and that is how we found Rachel’s place in Signal Mountain Tennessee. Great reviews, affordable pricing, and a quaint little place for our family to stay while vacationing we couldn’t pass it up. From the moment we arrived we were thoroughly impressed with Rachel’s place and its owners. Words alone cannot describe our wonderful experience. They have thought of everything possible to make this a home away from home. From hygiene products to kitchen utensils the place was fully stocked. Even books, puzzles, fire pit, piano and games were available for our enjoyment and the place is located just a short distance from all sorts of amazing outdoor activities, great food and the city. Communication and all pertinent information about the home was top notch from the moment we booked our stay. The house was well cleaned and a very cozy atmosphere. Perfect for vacation. Our family fell in love with Signal Mountain and the beautiful city of Chattanooga Tennessee during our stay and Rachel’s Place played a vital role in our amazing experience. We will be visiting the area again and we won’t be looking anywhere else but to Rachel’s Place for our next stay.

We stayed at Rachel's Place for a week. It was the week of the World Series. Jerry (owner) was able to get the Series for my husband. It wasn't easy but he was persistent! Thank you, Jerry! It was the perfect size for two people. Beautiful inside and out. God bless you for your kindness to us!

The cottage is adequate and in a great location to all the Chattanooga area attractions and shopping necessities. It is a bit noisy with US-127 being right there. The hosts are very nice people and provide plenty of privacy. They could be more proactive in their communication efforts outside the VRBO platform, travelers don’t necessarily use that site once they’ve left home. We use cell phones.

This little house is right on the main road, which makes it not only easy to find, but also easy to explore the Chattanooga area. It’s very close to the attractions of downtown and the drive is easy in both directions on US-127. I will be extending my stay in a few days.

We loved staying at Rachel's Place. The entire cottage was immaculate and very warm and homey. The Markets had everything in the cottage that made us feel at home, including up-to-date appliances, a great sun room, wifi, good TV coverage, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Cozy and comfy stay for your getaway. Probably a better set up for a couples get away or with an older child but we managed with the toddlers and murphy bed.

Didn't stay, cabin was filthily we were disappointed in appearance of the cabin. Looked like someone was living in it, and never cleaned. All I have to say. I had talked to an Vrbo agent in the afternoon, asking if we could get in the cabin early. She ask to owner, They said we could. We stopped at cabin about 2:00 to ck in. We found it a total mess, bath had mold and stool wasn't flushed. Looked like someone had been living there, not a former guest, This place hadn't been cleaned for sometime. We had to get a hotel in Chattanooga, which was a lot better.! You should not have this cabin on you site.

Convenient location. Cozy

Although I'm not a fan of winding roads, Rachel's Place was perfect for us. The cottage was clean, cable and internet worked very well, and the back yard was great for our dogs. We loved having live plants in the house. Going up and down Signal Mountain was interesting, but my spouse grew up in a mountain region so the twists and turns were like old home week for him. We avoided the "W" road as much as possible. The house is small, but it had what we needed. Thank you Jerry, for sharing your cottage with us! We hope to return at a future date! The property was clean and neat. I just wish there had been a note about the windy steep road to get there. We were carrying over 2000 lbs of humanitarian aid heard fir the Ukraine and traversing Signal Mountain was very challenging.

Came here for a birthday weekend for my nieces and nephew. The house was perfect for us. Loved all the nice touches in the home. Beautiful views of the mountain. Would definitely stay here again!

Best VRBO we have found near Alexian Village since coming 20 years ago. Much larger inside than pictures show. Quiet, would really be great in spring and fall to utilize sunroom and backyard.

Went for a getaway with my son! This place was perfect for me and him! Only 20ish minutes away from the Aquarium. We enjoyed every second of our stay and will keep this place in mind for the future.

Property was everything we expected. Good value for the cost. Had to cut this stay short due to family illness. Would definitely stay here again. Making the property dog friendly would be a bonus for us and our well behaved doodle. Good communication with host.
