The house was very clean, on a quiet street, with very big backyard. The beds are comfortable and there is entertainment for everyone. My family came here to just relax and play in the pool.

This property is absolutely beautiful! It was super clean, and well appointed. The kitchen had everything one would need and the backyard was over-the-top with all the fun-filled activities. It’s just as the pictures show except, in person, it was more spacious inside and out. The manager of the property (Sarah) was very accommodating and always available. We hope to return again some day!

My family has stayed in this house 3 years in a row! It is a beautiful home with many amenities. Sarah is an excellent host and is always there to make our stay unforgettable. We will be back again next year.

This is the second house of Sarah’s properties in Scottsdale that we have stayed at. Our entire family (3 generations) stayed at her house with activities galore in its backyard (pool, hot tub, pickleball, basketball, fire pit, bocce ball, treehouse, cornhole, etc). The house is beautiful and in great shape but having Sarah as the host makes it all even better because of how responsive she is to questions and requests! We will always look first at one of her properties if we are looking to stay in Scottsdale or in Breckenridge. You will not be disappointed.

This property was wonderful. We came for the waste management PGA tour. We were about 10 minutes from the stadium, and 15 from old town Scottsdale. Everything was at our fingertips. Sara (property manager/owner) was wonderful! She checked in to see when we would he arriving, and during our stay to make sure everything was going as we needed/wanted. She had everything ready for our stay right down to a book full of details on places to visit, eat, golf, spas, etc. the house was beautiful and very clean! Very comfortable beds. The backyard was a little oasis in heaven! The pool and spa was wonderful and refreshing, we played pickle ball, pinging, corn hole, and basketball. We spent most of our evenings in the back yard just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We will definitely be staying here again!

My in-laws and I decided to do an early Christmas getaway in Phoenix this year. Sarah's Modern Retreat was the perfect home and location! The home was lovely and had everything we needed. There were plenty of family-friendly games to play during the day in the backyard, as well as board games to play in the evenings. Location-wise, you are very close to many restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to do something similar next year!

This home was the perfect spot for our family which includes six adults and four boys, ages five to eleven. The kitchen is well appointed, allowing us to easily fix multiple meals; the living areas are spacious and relaxing, with plenty of board and card games for kids and adults alike; and the beds are cozy and comfortable. We slept like rocks. The best part of it all is the backyard. We all enjoyed swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub; sitting around the fire pit, identifying stars and watching for satellites going over; playing pickle ball and basketball; and eating around the outdoor dining table. While the adults enjoyed watching a few football games on the large outdoor TV on the patio, the boys enjoyed turning the two-story playhouse into a Boys’ Clubhouse. No adults and no girls allowed. Sarah, the host, had all the equipment we needed to do all the things, including beach towels to use after swimming. She asked us several times what she could do to make the place better for guests, and we couldn’t think of a thing. She’s a great host. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs, and this one stands out as one of the very best. We were all sad to have to leave. We will definitely book this property again!

This house is fantastic! In honor of my father-in-law’s milestone birthday, the East and West Coast parts of the family decided to meet up in Arizona. We ranged in age from eight to 85 years old — and this property was perfect for ALL of us! Sarah was an excellent host, truly going above and beyond to ensure our experience was fabulous. If you are looking to create great new memories with family or friends, we highly recommend renting this home.

We loved our time at the Scottsdale house! It was perfect for our 2 families, so many great amenities, clean, well kept and in a great location. We enjoyed the fabulous backyard the most, the kids were always busy! Sarah is also a great host! Very responsive and ensured we had what we needed at all times. We’ve been coming to Scottsdale for years, this was our best stay - we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay over Mother’s Day weekend! The house is everything as reported - and then some. It has so much space inside and out, every room was impeccable…the real joy of this property is the backyard! So much to do, you won’t want to leave for any reason…we all loved the pickle ball court, basketball, the treehouse is incredible, and the landscaping is gorgeous and representative of the best flowers and foliage of the area. We did not want to leave! Working with the leasing agent was a breeze - even fun - as she communicated appropriately throughout booking to the end of our stay. We hope to go back and bring a few friends to fill the space! Thank you Modern Retreats!!

Only disadvantage was layout of two bedrooms with one small bathroom that had to be accessed through one of the bedrooms. Would recommend room darkening shades for the bedrooms.

We had two famillies stay for a week in April and the house did not disappoint! The pool and hottub were ideal. Sitting by the gas fireplace at night was the perfect place to solve the world's problems. The location was convenient to great restraurants and golf. Sarah was easy to work with and very reachable. The PERFECT vacation home for our family trip. A party of 6 adults and a 1 year old. Everyone had a great time. There was everything we needed for the baby, Pack and Play, baby monitor, and booster seat. The house was truly stocked and ready for cooking at the house. Everything was clean and neat. All the activities both indoors and out kept everyone occupied. Located in a convenient neighborhood to just about anything you will need, shopping,, dinning, and attractions.
Our Host was Great. Sarah was in touch every step of the trip and answered all our questions.

Comfortable 5 bedroom home with a great backyard. The hot tub, pool, fire pit, basket ball/pickle ball court, and ping pong table provided hours of fun for the whole family. Started ever day with a cup of coffee in the hot tub!

This Scottsdale property was one of the best of all of our VRBO experiences. It’s super resort-like atmosphere with all sorts of in-yard sports facilities was enjoyed by teens, parents, and grandparents alike. Modern Retreats management was super communicative, helpful, and attentive to detail; they even provided a decorated Christmas tree.

This property was amazing. We spent a week here with 5 adults and 3 young kids and have nothing but good things to say.
The house is beautiful inside. It is tastefully decorated and the bedrooms are big and spaced out and we did not feel crowded in there for one second. The kids have an amazing room - bunk beds, a couch, a tv, and a play area.
The backyard is everything we hoped for, and more. The backyard looks even more magical in person and is a blast for both kids and adults. There is a lovely outdoor dining area and couch and tv equipped with outdoor heaters. We spent all of our time in the backyard.
We found the location of the house to be great. It is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. It was central to food, shopping, and many golf courses and other attractions we visited.
It is very obvious that a lot of time and thought have gone into making this property feel like you're at home while on vacation. The house had many thoughtful touches to it such as board games, coffee pods, cleaning and kitchen essentials, q-tips, hair straighteners, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The backyard had every outdoor game and toy you could imagine.
Sarah was a fabulous host and all of the instructions on how to operate things around the house were clearly laid out. Lastly, every last nook both inside and outside were sparkling clean. We felt as though we were staying in a brand new houese that had never been lived in. I highly suggest booking this property and spending some time here. We will definitely be back!

My family of 10 stayed at this property. It was close to everything fun and the host sarah gave us great recommendations also. This place had everything for young children from pack and play to monitors and high chair seat. We spent a lot of our time in and out of the pool and enjoying the beautiful property! We would definitely stay here again!

Family Trip to Scottsdale
My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and in the perfect location. Plenty of room for a group of 10. There were a lot of activities at the house for all people in our group. There were a lot of umbrellas outside by the pool to provide enough shade, even on a hot June summer day. Sarah was very responsive and very helpful in making the stay great. Highly recommend this stay!

Amazing!
Stayed for a week with my family at this amazing property...or should I say resort! The house was gorgeous, clean and impeccably furnished. It had every creature comfort one could want. Just beautiful. And the property/yard itself was a dream. Salt water pool/activities galore...any description will not do it justice. Anything and everything that you could possible want. We had a fantastic time and would stay there again in a heartbeat. And Sarah the property manager was literally the best, so very attentive and kind, tending to every need. Thank you Sarah! The only downside to our stay was that we had to leave at the end of our week. :) Five plus stars all around!

Another wonderful stay
Again this year, we enjoyed thoroughly our stay at this house. Sarah is THE best manager we've ever worked with (in oodles of traveling and vrbo stays!). The BACK YARD is what makes the house an amazing place to stay. We were thankful for the opportunity to relax in a space and the weather was great, too!

Amazing Vacation
This place was everything we wanted! We have rented houses in the Scottsdale area for the last 5 or 6 years. I have never rented the same place twice, but the family thinks that tradition ends now. The backyard of this house had so much to do. A pickleball court is a requirement for us, but the bocce ball court was an amazing addition to our leisure time. For me, the close proximity to a Jewish Community Center was bonus as we are members in Omaha, so our membership was valid there a well. We could use their workout facility and attend classes if desired. I will be mindful of booking next year's trip before this place fills up. Thank you, Sarah, for being so attentive and addressing any needs promptly. It made a great place even better.

Great property and perfect location
We had a wonderful time staying at this property with our kids! It was so easy to access when we got there and had everything we needed. The house was immaculate and the backyard was amazing! It’s centrally located and easy to get to all the great restaurants and shopping in the area. Sarah was great to work with and was very accessible! Bethany the concierge that Sarah hooked us up with was also wonderful! Will definitely go back and stay again!

5 STARS for everything. House was AMAZING!!!! You won’t find a better backyard. A true resort oasis! Inside is modern with a very open layout. The host, Sarah, was incredible. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay at this tremendous property. Will definitely stay again.

Exceeded expectations!
Fantastic 5 night stay with 7 friends from around the country. Everything was perfect- tons of plush towels, comfortable beds, extra blankets. Lots of extras like garbage bags and laundry supplies. Backyard is incredible! Location is super convenient. Seamless communication with Sarah, completely attentive to anything we might have needed. We will be back!!
