This house is perfect. My family has been staying here for years. There have been updates that make it even better. The pool is fantastic and the walk to the beach is short. Truly look no further in finding a home. You won’t be disappointed!

Loved this house! The pool and outdoor area were amazing! Had everything we needed.

What a wonderful place for family. Updated furnishing. A nice kitchen. Lotsof room. But the best-the pool! Everyone enjoyed it. Also very peaceful sitting outside. Walk to the beach not too far-we learned to drop our stuff off so we didn’t have to drag it while walking.

Our stay at this beautiful home was relaxing and fun. Everyone was taken aback with the beauty of the inside and outside. We spent a lot of time on the back porch area relaxing by the pool and watching all the wildlife. The pool and the house are much larger than we had expected. Our family of 11 had plenty of room to spread out. We would highly recommend this house and would love to come back in the future.

My family stayed at this beautiful, spacious home on the lagoon with our 3 kids and grandparents. The pool was clean and well maintained. The kids loved the pool and the wildlife around the lagoon. We saw many herons and an alligator lazily swimming in the lagoon. The beach was a short walk across a bridge in the neighborhood. The grandparents liked it since it was a one level home with spacious rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and all the appliances were updated and top of the line. The neighborhood is in a gated community and very well maintained. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The owners were wonderful. They were always available and easily reachable and kept us updated via texts and emails. Definitely recommend to families with kids and grandparents. Hope to come back again in the future.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Easy access to the beach and wonderful accommodations. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and view of the lagoon. Everyone had a place they could go to and was very happy to be there.

A great place to stay! Our 3 adult children all live in different states so we try to meet up each Spring for some family time together. Unfortunately we have not been able to travel for the last 2 years so It was very important to find a great place for all of us and we were not disappointed. I booked the home in September and when I went to pay my second payment in January I looked at the reviews and was a little skeptical since there were a few recent bad reviews. I emailed Jim and he assured me the owner was working on the items in question so I went ahead and kept the place and I am so glad we did. The back yard/pool area was great, there was a refrigerator by the outside grill so the grandkids (and big kids) didn't need to run in the house to grab a drink. The pool had lots of room for everyone (we had 10) There was plenty of sun and shady options to sit or lay out in. There was a place to hook up a hammock we had two and they fit perfectly by the trees close to the lagoon. We saw many beautiful birds while there, we even got to watch an egret grab a fish from the lagoon and eat it in a nearby tree. The house set up with 2 bedrooms on each side of the house with the kitchen and living rooms between was great for our family. The living room furniture was recently replaced and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook with for our big family. I did bring a griddle and Keurig coffee pot to help with our breakfast meals. We had just a couple hiccups that were not the properties fault, the garbage man didn't stop at our house and the pool heater didn't work for a day or so, both were resolved quickly with a text message to Jim. We rented bikes and enjoyed the many trails in the community. We all had a great time. ~Merri

We have been coming to this house for many years. It does need some updating at this point. Furniture in family room is very old and deck by the lagoon is almost unsafe at this point. We would love to come back but would recommend some updating.

This rental appears to be purely an investment property -- that is not being invested in. The furniture is "tired" -- and that's putting it kindly. Very, very uncomfortable. The property desperately needs a pain job throughout. I did not report my following complaints about cleanliness because there would have been no point. The problem is the place needs to be deep cleaned. The floors, for example, had been mopped -- but not really cleaned. I hate to complain because I don't think the issue is the cleaning crew. They tidy up and spot clean in the time they are given -- but there's no serious cleaning going on. That's not their fault. Some kitchen items need replaced -- coffee pot is on its last leg and the mixer works erratically. The deck is lovely. The neighborhood is lovely. I would say it's more than a 5-minute walk to the beach if you have small children and gear, but it's not far. In a nutshell, for the money we paid, we expected more comfort and much cleaner facilities. Finally, check- in was a cluster. The gate house said they didn't have us registered. Had to get out of the long line and call the property manager. Representative insisted the passes were waiting for us. They were not. Finally got things straightened out -- the fault was not with the gate house, but rather the property manager/owner. All very frustrating - had 2 toddlers in tow and had just made a 13-hour drive. The process literally took 40 minutes and involved getting in and out of line twice. I have never posted this sort of review before. But our experience was not pleasant.

Interior paining needed especially on the ceilings where there has been water damage and around the air vents that have either black mold or dirt around them. Exterior needs cleaned. Just sweeping the decks & front porch prior to a new group arriving would be nice. Cleaning crew did a poor job prior to our stay. The wood floors had dirt under & around the beds & thick cobwebs in the corners . Bathroom shared by 2 bedrooms needs updated & cleaned. Master bath has been updated but needed cleaned. Master was the only bedroom with a tv. A vacation home should have a tv in each bedroom. A little basic maintenance & TLC would make this a great place to stay. Owner doesn’t seem to care about the property. We won’t stay there again.

We had an amazing time.. close to everything. Love the private pool. Big enough to Entertain the family. Only complaint was on the masters room 2 of the pillows smell like throw-up 🤮 thats why I didn't give 5 starts.. everything else was enough for a rental!

We love Palmetto Dunes, having stayed there for the past 7 years. This was our first time to rent on the canal. The wildlife was special for the 5 grandchildren. Having all the rooms on one floor made keeping up with grandkids so much easier. Easy walking distance to the general store made for good memories. The house was well equipped to serve the 11 of us. The bunk bed room was a hit for all of the cousins. The other 3 rooms were good for the adults. Cooking in the kitchen was easy with all of the items found in and around the large kitchen. The pool overlooking the canal was a great place to relax after a busy day at the beach. We will return to Palmetto Dunes again and would consider renting here again. Thank-you !

This was my families first visit to Hilton Head, and staying at this house made this a trip to remember. The location was wonderful...close walk to the beach. The outside space was peaceful and relaxing...backyard pool and views of the lagoon. The house is exactly as described on the website. My family will definitely stay at this property again when we return to HHI. Thanks for a great stay 🤗

This property is way nicer than the pictures lead on. It was very clean it had everything we needed to cook with the ice maker was a great perk. The pool we use every single day constantly The dock was awesome somebody even caught a huge fish in our group. There was absolutely no complaints when it came down to this property everything was worth it and would stay again. It was a little bit difficult communicating with the owner before our stay but maybe I'm just used to somebody giving me a lot of details. Regardless this place was awesome and I highly recommend it

This is a wonderful house and the location is perfect. The kids loved the pool and played in in several times each day. The property was clean and we loved the layout of the house. We enjoyed the views out back and relished the quietness of the property. We also enjoyed the nice running/walking/bike paths. We had one minor issue when we arrived, but the owners addressed it immediately. There is also a local contact who was extremely helpful as well. We loved our stay!

We love the house and the location. We were able to watch so much wild life. It was beautiful.

My family loved this home. It had everything we needed and more. The kids had a blast playing in the pool. We cooked on the grill several nights and there was even a little drink refrigerator outside! Our favorite part of this home was the wildlife. We called the lagoon the "animal highway." We saw owls, alligators, osprey, turtles, anhinga and kingfishers. Great stay!

We were very happy with this rental. The backyard is perfect! The pool is a very nice size and the furniture is great outside. We loved being on the lagoon - the wild life was amazing. The kitchen is beautiful and very well stocked with all you need. Would definitely rent again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was beautiful but we spent most of our time in the pool area - it was so perfect and had a great mix of sun and shade most of the day. The lagoon area was so nice - we enjoyed coffee down there every morning. It was so peaceful and we just loved all the wildlife we saw! The only drawback for us was that the bunk beds were a bit short for our tall guys. They were able to find other places to sleep though!

This is the perfect spot for a family vacation! The house is roomy and comfortable. It has a great kitchen and an awesome outdoor space / pool. Our favorite part was the property being on the lagoon where we saw baby alligators, turtles, flying fish, hawks, egrets, and more. It's a great location and so close to the beach (8 minute walk), restaurants, and shops. We will be back!

We loved the location, quick walk to the beach over the bridge. Luckily, we threw in our kids scooters at the last minute so for the kids it was a fun experience getting to the beach. 8 minute walk to the tennis courts and you are pretty close to the gate so it is easy to get to the grocery stores across the street. Loved the dock, we went fishing every night. The backyard is very pretty in general, a lot of wild life. Before we arrived we were concerned about the bedding, it looked very shabby online - but in person it was a lot nicer. The furniture in the common areas could be improved but it didn’t bother us. The kitchen is STOCKED - it has every pan, blender, crockpot that you could need. The house also has a ton of games & puzzles which our kids appreciated. We didn’t use the grill outside, there were quite a few palmetto bugs that seemed to think this was their domaine. Things that could be improved: the towel holder in the bathroom is still broken, the beds in both spare bedrooms are very squeaky and not that comfortable, the toilet seat in the spare bathroom also needs to be replaced. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. We had a wonderful week, loved the pool, the view in the backyard and the convenience of the location.

We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The home had plenty of space for our whole family. I would highly recommend.

This house is in a great location for the beach or getting around Hilton Head - definitely rent bikes for the beach and the paths. We appreciated the location, the updated kitchen, and the pool; but the house needs an update, a deep clean, and the outside is not well maintained. We were definitely disappointed in how the house was maintained. We called both the cleaner and the property manager the first day. The cleaner said our cleaning issues were not "part of the departure clean, call the property manager". The property manager took a day or two to get back to us about our issues. A towel rack was fixed, but nothing else was handled. The disappointing part is that previous renters commented on the cleaning issues and still nothing was done. We still had a great a vacation, but I would not recommend this property to family or friends.

good size for 5 adults and 4 children. Spent lots of time at the pool. Short walk to beach was good for the kids. Had a wonderful time. Would come back again.

Great house. Large enough to accommodate our family. The room with bunks was a hit for the kids. The kitchen was awesome with everything we needed. No complaints. We would definitely stay again.

6 adults and 4 kids enjoyed the fishing and pool at 25 St. George. Many elements of the property were great although it could use a coat of paint and a deep cleaning and the parking was a little tight, but overall we loved it. Short walk to beach...great location! FYI, the bed in the Master is extremely high...grandma had to use a chair to get into it!

This home is wonderful for a family get together. We had six adults and six children ages 1 to 18 all in this house for a week and we just loved it. There are games books and puzzles for all ages The four middle grandchildren slept in the bunkbeds and will have fun lasting memories for many years. Access to our own pool right next to the lagoon is such a pleasure and then a six minute walk and you are at the beach. The remodeled kitchen with convection ovens was also a treat since we have family members who love to cook. This was our second vacation in this home and we plan to return again.
