I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic property, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect—close to all the attractions yet nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, offering the best of both worlds.
The hosts were extremely attentive and responsive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Whether it was providing local recommendations or making sure the check-in process was seamless, they went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.
The amenities provided were top-notch, and the property itself was even more beautiful than the pictures. The thoughtful touches throughout the home made it feel like a true getaway.
I can’t wait to come back for another stay. If you’re considering this property, do yourself a favor and book it—you won’t be disappointed!

Roomy suite with top notch finishing. Most fully stocked kitchen we have experienced. Great temperpedic mattress and lovely linens. Howie was always quick to respond to inquiries , made the check in easy and is a delightful host. Would certainly go back again. Our getaway accommodation was perfect. Kitchen was fully equipped like home, living area and bedrooms very comfortable, bathroom has all the necessities in case you forgot something!
It was so lovely to stay in an accommodation that felt like home!
Central for day trips to the Sunshine Coast, Bowen Island and Squamish.

Our host Howie was super gracious and caring. His property is at a location perfect for our plans. The property has much more amenities than a more expensive hotel room. It is in a quiet neighborhood and is very convenient for getting around and has great restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay there again for our next visit to Vancouver.

This is a lovely property, located extremely convenient and close to Vancouver's attractions. Sparkling clean and relatively new, offers all you need for short or long term stay. It is quiet, even if close to Highway 1. There are not hotels who offer what this location offers. Howie, the host was really helpful and accommodating. We loved it and will go back when in Vancouver.

If you want to stay in luxury and be treated very hospitably, this is the place! This beautiful suite is located in a lovely neighborhood in North Vancouver. Host Howie is an excellent communicator, readily answers questions, gives recommendations and eager to serve your every need. He made our 50th anniversary celebration in Vancouver a beautiful experience! Highly recommend!

The location felt very safe. Handy to nearby grocery store. The 246 bus route took us directly to Stanley Park. The host was friendly and helpful, also courteous with our privacy. Bed was very comfortable.

We spent 3 nights at Howie’s Retreat. He is a marvellous host. Warm, welcoming and personable. The unit itself is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is not a single thing that Howie has not provided for your comfort. If it isn’t there, you don’t need it. If anything isn’t right, he will go out of his way to fix it in a timely manner. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely too. A real home away from home. A perfect little nest for when you are not out exploring the area. Great place, great guy!

The basement apartment is beautifully decorated with original artworks and has a plethora of useful and thoughtful amenities. You can really tell Howie cares for his guests in a proactive and caring way.
One exceptional example of this was the small library of books which was greatly appreciated. The apartment is really close to the main road which I thought might be an issue but you cannot hear it at all and proved to be really convenient for travelling around all of Vancouver.
It's a super easy drive to downtown but feels much safer and relaxed. It's also only a few dollar's taxi ride to the seabus to downtown so if you're visiting Van and want to see the sights this is a really great option.
Overall excellent experiences highly recommend!

We were looking for someplace within walking distance to an adult child. The apartment was perfect for us. Walking distance to Edgemount Village, a shopping mall, bus service close by and the apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Would return without hesitation,

We stayed in Howie's lovely flat for our first stay upon moving to Vancouver. We loved it and couldn't recommend enough. We loved it so much we we ended up staying for longer than planned! Howie & family are super friendly, the flat was perfectly kitted out including a ready to go kitchen and a desk set up - with one of us working remotely from the flat, that was ideal and the wifi was super quick! Safeway's opposite makes it super easy to pick up supplies and great access to the highway to get anywhere in Vancouver or even straight up to Whistler. Would highly recommend for anyone looking!

My partner and I stayed here for a few days while visiting family in N. Vancouver, going to Lynn Canyon and driving to Whistler for a day - so great location for that, right off the freeway, but beautifully wooded property, quiet dead end street. Owner had me park next to his, easy for loading unloading. Fully furnished with top everything. One flight of stairs down but not a problem for us. Would highly recommend

This apartment is private with plenty of room. It's in a very nice neighborhood and is accessible to shopping and other points of intetest, including the waterfront.

We visited this property in August so the proximity to ski hills was not the attracting factor. However, being in North Vancouver near the Shipping yards for ferry to downtown as well as on bus routes to nearby Stanley Park, Capilano bridge was a huge bonus. The suite was well stocked with every item a guest could possible need and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Our daughter and I stayed here for our visit to Vancouver. It was very conveniently located for the places we wanted to go and things we wanted to see and do. Howie’s apartment was everything it was advertised to be. The kitchen is well equipped with items you need to prepare meals if you want to cook. The washer and dryer came in handy! The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great! And our host was very helpful and courteous. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet with grocery stores and some very good restaurants close by. ❤️

This is a well appointed suite with friendly and accommodating hosts. There is a set of stairs down to the suite, and being in the basement, it is a bit dark with low water pressure, but it is very clean and has everything you need to be comfortable in your stay. I would recommend this suite, and I would rent it again. Thank you!

Howie provides an exceptional place to stay. It was the cleanest VRBO that we have stayed. It had everything we needed to make our own meals. Located close to many opportunities to escape into nature but also a very short drive to shops, restaurants, and businesses. We would absolutely choose to stay here again.

It would be impossible to ask for more, everything was perfect from the pencil sharpener to magnifying mirror. Cutlery and crockery were plentiful with no waiting to fill the DW. Loved the Pears soap.
Driving into the city was very easy but beware, there is no free parking in Vancouver and there is an absence of signs and meters. It's called visitor entrapment by insisting on digital payment.
The wee village of Edgemont is close and well worth a visit. It's also the last bastion of unrestricted parking.
The host was most helpful with any queries.
All in all a very comfortable home from away for 4 days in Beautiful British Columbia.
