No complaints, perfect for floating the river and experiencing downtown - all without a car

Great location, parking is convenient, and the property manager was extremely friendly and responsive. Very good stay overall with only minor inconveniences.
The lower heating element in the oven was broken, so we just used the broil function for everything.
Either the bed frames or box springs were broken on the beds, so they were all leaning one direction or another.
Still, overall it was a great location and we had a great time.

Great location! Group of 9 stayed, huge shout out for providing enough towels (I find these type of rental properties never have enough towels for larger groups)! Great check-in/out process. No outrageous cleaning requirements at the end. The outdoor area is great & being able to shut the gate to the property was nice, lots of parking! So things of note though: 1. The oven cooks slow. 2. There's no dishwasher. 3. The a/c is not adequate for the house. 4. The front bedroom in the main house on the right side of the living-room, is HOT. No airflow in the room at all. Needs window unit. 5. Cleanliness was average.
6. Most importantly, the BEDS were AWFUL!! Lumpy & hard as a rock! 7. The back house with only beds, really needs a bathroom. 8. The cost was really expensive for the what was rented.

The house was perfect for my family’s stay during our daughter’s wedding in New Braunfels. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for the 2024 solar eclipse – a family reunion with eight of us in total. It was ideal for us and we had a perfect time!
The property has three separate units (buildings) of varying sizes and configurations, which gives you a lot of space and flexibility with sleeping arrangements. At the center of the property is a large patio/courtyard that serves as a good gathering spot, especially in warm weather.
Before our trip we didn't know much about the town of New Braunfels, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the property is within a very short walking distance of the town center, making it extremely convenient. We enjoyed being able to easily walk to the farmer's market, bakery, coffee shop, beer hall, and so on. New Braunfels is a very charming, friendly town and we would love to come back.
We also appreciated that they left some eclipse glasses for us to use – that was a nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The house was amazing and in a great location walking distance to downtown. Perfect house for a get away with friends and family for the weekend.

Great location! Walking distance to a bakery, ice cream, coffee shop and restaurants. Centrally located to everything we drove to, as well. Lots of room out back where we hung out most of the time, it was perfect. The property is old and historic, which we appreciate.

The location of this property is perfect if you plan to float the river or visit Schlitterbahn!!! The back yard area was perfect for our girl, Irie - she loved exploring all parts of the yard. Parking was great and we loved that there were several areas to just sit and relax outside - the party lights strung from the trees were beautiful at night. The boys enjoyed the outdoor shower, and I loved the stained-glass window in the bathroom of the main house. The houses stayed cool, had beautiful architectural features, and comfortably fit all 11 of us. The houses were very clean & inviting. My only suggestion is that the bunk house & main house need a little TLC. The bunk house's door does not seal all the way and the tub/shower combo in the main house did leak a bit when draining - not a big deal, we just dried the floor when finished each day. Lotion, soap, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner, dishes, kitchen utensils were all provided. The fridges worked well and the microwave in the main house is brand new. We did not use the ovens/stoves, we did not want to cook on vacation. The cottage out back was pretty much perfect - furniture was very comfortable. Our host, Tom, allowed us to check in 30 minutes early which was so appreciated as we had a very long drive, and it was a hot, humid day. There is a bakery pretty much right behind the house and a coffee shop right around the corner - all within walking distance.
We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay but the condition of some of the house wasn’t great. The bath tub in the main house wobbled and felt very unsafe to stand in. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price wish some things like the bath were fixed/maintained better.

We had a girl’s weekend in New Braunfels with 12 women and this was a great property for our stay! We were able to walk everywhere - restaurants, bars, shops, the river! Everything was so close and easy to get to. The owner and property manager were very easy to get in touch with and super helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you have a larger group!

Be sure to be careful, with small children, lots of nice breakables in the big house! The location could not have been better as far as shopping, eating, sightseeing, Scclitterbaun and floating the Comal! We cooked out a lot and loved the HEB grocery!

Incredible stay for our Wurstfest trip!
The three houses were exactly what we were looking for our group's trip to New Braunfels for Wurstfest. Incredible location and walking distance to everything. Great communication with the property manager and very accommodating. Would definitely return!

Better suited for family with children
Great location. Bathroom situation is tricky, one of the bathrooms is in a bedroom. Found it difficult to accommodate 12 adults. We ended up getting a couple of hotel rooms to make it work better for our needs.

Nuff Said takes over Comal
Great stay, Tom was very well to communicate with and accommodating!
Everything was great, blueprints are little misleading with outdoor area (or my expectations might have been little higher) being as large as described, but still a great time!
Front house on property is little squeaky, no “sneaking” around there at night!
Back two house were cold and awesome!
Honestly think we might make this a yearly thing here!

Wonderful for multiple families
This is a great property with tons of charm and a superb location. It was great to have separate spaces for 3 families and the shared courtyard for the kids to play safely. Very close to the river drop in and many other amenities.

Perfect for families
The Stadt Haus and the Spiel Haus were the best solution for being close to family during the holidays, but not too close. The outdoor area was perfect for us: the men built a fire in the chimenea and hung out while the women did the cooking. Only drawback was the microwave was not working in the Stadt Haus. The dogs even had fun checking out the new smells in the yard.

"Just like Home."
Plenty of room and very clean. Only setback is that bathroom in front house is not very accessible for older/handicapped persons. Otherwise, it is nice. We would stay there again.

Great place for our family of 13. We all loved it.
Vintage properties that fit the bill for our 5 adult 8 teenage children. A lot of authentic decorations and comfortable beds. The Houses really represented a time gone buy in apperance. Plenty of cooking utensils, dishes bowls and pans. The stoves all worked. this is the first property in 5 years that allowed us to cook all meals in no time at all. Everyone also had a place to retreat to for thier own privacy and not be under foot. Plenty of room for all of us to eat in the vintage house and had plenty of seating on the front port and out back. The parking on the property between the houses was massive and made packing and unpacking easy.
Had one problem with the door on the speil house and the owner respoded immediatley himself to fix the problem.
Even though you are within blocks of the schliterbahn you had deer and fawn roaming the nieghborhood. The kids really enjoyed watching them, they even walked down the driveway and stopped. You could get within15 feet of these animals as long as you did not startle them.
This property isan adventure worth trying.

These little old German houses were just right.
We had 15 people in our group that ranged in age from 5 to 73. This is a great place for a lot of teenagers. There are 4 seating areas outside, too. We served food from the main house and had everyone eat outside. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics (no dishwasher, though).
The houses are not luxurious but they are adequate. The WiFi worked well and the decor was charming. The owners even supply toiletries, which I thought was a nice bonus.
Neaglan’s (sp.?) bakery is just a few steps away. We have to visit there each trip to New Braunfels. The walk from the river is a bit longer. It’s best to use the local tube rentals and shuttles.
One other neat thing we didn’t expect was the local wildlife. Sitting on the porch in the evening we saw deer, little foxes and an opossum. There were lots and lots of deer in the area.
We had a fun stay and made some great memories.

Great weekend!
I stayed for a weekend with 18 friends ages 24-26. We loved the fact that it was a walking distance to schilterbahn and tube rentals on the Comal. The 3 houses all open up to a large parking area where we played corn hole and enjoyed the barbeque grill. The owners are great, I even left my camera on the property and they found it and mailed it back to me! Very helpful and great to work with. Definitely recommend for other large groups.
