Neil and Heidi were wonderful hosts. Very responsive at all points. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed. The patio was beautiful and a lovely place for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. It’s a very safe neighborhood and we walked everywhere. Great restaurants and shopping. And the Kitslano pool

This property is so clean and inviting! It has all the amenities we wanted (including a dishwasher and room to unpack). It’s in an upscale neighborhood close to locally owned restaurants and grocery stores. We especially enjoyed eating dinner at Folke, an all vegan restaurant, and getting to-go from Nuba (Lebanese) in Kitsilano. The hosts made us feel welcomed and appreciated, and we truly appreciated their effort!

The accommodation was absolutely lovely,well equipped,clean and with a gorgeous sitting area outside.

The house was very clean and very well fitted out with plenty of utensils, towels etc. The location was good as it was a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants and more than 2 bus routes. Access to the city centre was easy and we bought/used a card which eased paying for bus journeys. For us, over 60, it was only $2+ per trip.
The garden was beautiful with easy access, but not too private if the landlord was out in his part of the garden.
There was a BBQ with fuel and utensils.
The only minus point we have is that the description of the apartment which was a good size for 1 or 2 persons. It was not really a "garden" apartment. It was below ground level and therefore a "basement" apartment which required lights on most of the day.
Despite the lighting issue we have given it a high rating because it was very well fitted out/ clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in Vancouver and the garden suite was a great home base to explore the city, surrounding neighborhoods, and UBC. It is convenient to transit that runs frequently that will take you anywhere in the city, close to restaurants and fun retail, and walking distance to the water. Heidi and Neil have created a welcoming space with everything you need for a great stay!

Located in beautiful neighbourhood. We have access to an outdoor garden area that is very quiet and pretty. Perfect to relax after a day of visiting.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Kitsilano oasis!
The location to major attractions including Granville Island, Kitsilano beach and Stanley Park is perfect, and Kitsilano offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants nearby on 4th ave and West Broadway. Our hosts Neil and Heidi were very accommodating and do provide a lot of valuable information on what to do and where to eat etc. We also had access to a beautiful backyard and a bbq for a late afternoon apéro or dinner. Therefore, we highly recommend this suite and would definitely go back on our next trip to Vancouver.

We were so impressed with how great this rental is. It is clean and neat and beautifully decorated. Hosts provided many extras to make our stay comfortable. The king bed and quiet neighborhood made sleeping away from home easy. It is a quick walk to access shops and restaurants. There is nothing I would change about this beautiful rental. We can’t wait to come back.

This was such a great place to stay! It is close to UBC, easy to get into the city, and just a couple of blocks from bakeries, bus stops, and grocery stores! The hosts were kind and very welcoming. Will stay agin!!

Neil and Heidi’s home is conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood close to amenities such as grocery shopping, bakeries and restaurants. You can walk or take a short drive to the shops on 4th Avenue or the beaches area.
The suite is sparkling clean and impeccably maintained. It is well equipped for making meals and the kitchen has a dishwasher. The king sized bed and linens are excellent and the bedroom is super quiet at night.
The back garden is beautifully landscaped and is a lovely retreat on a sunny day.
We plan to return here again. Highly recommend!

Location is on a quiet street but convenient with many good dining options within 3 blocks walking.
Check in/out process is straightforward and the hosts are attentive but respectful of your privacy.
Unit is walk down basement, and is spotless. Very nice decor, WiFi is quick and reliable, and bed's super comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The owners have thought of everything to make staying at their little suite easy. First off, it is immaculately clean, up to date, with good finishes and nicely decorated in a simple modern style. The bed is comfortable, as is the sofa, and the closet space generous. The lighting is very good and adjustable, which is important as this suite is below ground. The electric fireplace is a nice addition and came in handy as we had snow during our stay. This suite shines, unlike others we have rented in this neighbourhood. Thanks for letting us stay.

This property had everything you would need and then some. The owners were very helpful. The location is a 5 minute walk to restaurants and stores. Parking was never a problem.

A lovely spot set in the heart of Kitsilano. Close to beach, shopping, transit, airport, etc. Used it as a hub to visit family. Super clean and cozy with tons of amenities. Would highly recommend it!

We enjoyed 3 nights at this lovely property. It was a peaceful and perfectly appointed suite. The location was excellent, with grocery, bakery, coffee and shopping within walking distance or a very short drive. The area was so quiet, the bed comfortable and Neil and Heidi attentive and available. I surely hope to stay here again

In the basement of the owners house but do not let this discourage you. We arrived just as winter is coming and it was beautifully warm. There is a lovely garden at the rear. Everything we needed was in the apartment. The beds and linen were immaculate. The design and layout is excellent. Exactly what we were looking for and we appreciate it. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this excellent apartment.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. The space is actually better than the photos show. Kitchen is stocked better than most in America if I had to guess. We wanted for nothing. Did I say how clean it was? We have stayed in 30+ VRBO and other short-term rentals and this one is Top 3, easy. Great location as well in a nice, tree-lined walkable neighborhood close to dining, coffee shops, grocery stores and several ethnic restaurants. Consider yourself lucky if you can book it.

Really great apartment in Kitslano which made a good base to explore. Neighborhood is quiet and safe, but near to shops and restaurants. A cab into downtown was around $12-15, but public transport was available. I stayed here on a work visit, and VGH was in walking distance.
The check in process was smooth and easy. They kindly accommodated an earlier check in and late check out.
The apartment itself was great. Comfortable for two people, had everything you need including all amenities. Would stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay here in the quiet, adorable upscale town of Kitsilano. Beautiful accommodations - comfortable bed and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! Very easy to work with the owners! Either via car, bike or ride share, it's easy access into Vancouver. Don't miss the nearby beaches of Kitsilano, Jericho or Acadia for beautiful views of the city! Highly recommend!!

Neil and Heidi's place is the perfect place for exploring the Vancouver area. Enjoy the bustle of downtown or galleries near UBC and then return to this amazingly clean and well appointed oasis within 10 minutes. Steps from great restaurants and shops but tucked away in a quiet and private neighbourhood. Their check-in procedures were efficient and accommodating and communication throughout the visit was excellent. A must stay if you're in the area.
