I always get a project summary from the crew when they return to our HQ's. Our crew travels all over the country a lot. They've stayed in some nice places, and some not so nice places. Today, for the first time, they mentioned not only how cozy and comfortable the places was, but they loved the location and mentioned how incredibly nice and accommodating the hosts were. We will highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Springfield area.

Clean. Plenty of pillows, towels etc. loved watching the donkey and little horse in the mornings while I was drinking coffee on the porch. Beautiful inside. Love the old decor. Great communication. Plenty of room for my family. Definitely would come back!

Our family absolutely loved this charming home. It was very nicely decorated, had plenty of space for our family, and was impeccably clean. It was quite a deal considering we would have needed at least 2 hotel rooms to accommodate the same number of people (6). Beyond all of that, the Lawsons were outstanding hosts. About 2 hours before check-in, Deborah called with the news that a storm had brought a very large tree down right on to the carport of the house. The house itself was fine and there were no impingements on any of the living space but that they understood if we'd rather find other lodging, especially considering my elderly MIL has mobility issues and uses a walker. Since the carport was blocked, the easiest entrance with only 2 steps was not accessible and they wanted to be sure that she would be able to handle the full flight of stairs up from the lower entrance before we decided. They let us walk through the entire house and consider our options before deciding if we would stay or not, and they didn't pressure us either way. The choice was 100% ours. We stayed, and we are so glad we did. We felt very comfortable and at home during our stay. The beds were SO comfortable and we loved the large covered porch. We were also able to extend our check out by several hours since they were not booked for that night, which was great for my MIL. The property is amazing, but what really makes this place shine are the hosts. We will definitely stay here again!!

The house was great! The details made the stay welcoming, relaxing, and stress free. The boys (8,11) loved getting to hang out with Gracie and Tarzan, a horse and donkey resident on the property. My kiddos are already asking to come back and we definitely would stay here again. Thanks for the memories!

The moment you open the door you will start to feel at home!! The adorable lamp lights have been turned on throughout the rooms to make you feel welcome! Home baked chocolate chip cookies have been left under a glass display! Milk is included when you open the refrigerator along with sodas and water! The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and eating tools, K-cups, creamer, assorted chips and cereals! Your eyes get their own treats with cute and historical items sprinkled everywhere! The home is squeaky clean and perfectly decorated! The bathrooms have been stocked with items you may have forgotten. The beds are like jumping in a cloud of comfy linens that smell like heaven! Gracie, the pony, is in the back yard area and loves kisses and rubs behind her ears! We will be back to this 5+ star property when we are traveling back to Springfield! Thank you Darren and Deborah for the enchanting experience!!!

My kids and I enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful home. It was very clean and comfortable for my 3 teenagers. The house is well equipped with everything you’ll need and the decorations give a very warm home feeling. Also, the location gives a great private feeling while being only 5 minutes away from all the amenities in town. We often visit Springfield and we’ll be back to the Galloway House.

Always enjoy this property as it is our favorite place to stay in Springfield!

We did not spend much time in the house. Had good selection of cooking items. Had nice outside sitting area and grill. However it was to cold to use it.

I live in California and I’m sometimes unable to make family gatherings so my family got together early for Thanksgiving so that I could enjoy their company I flew in from California picked up my elderly mother and aunt and niece and we met the rest of the family in Springfield and had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering for the weekend. The place was more than charming and had anything and everything you could need for your stay.

We loved our stay at Galloway Place. The home is very clean and well kept. Decor is cute, cozy and comfortable. The owners attention to detail is above and beyond. Lots of clean towels and linens. Very welcoming and lots of little extras in case you forgot anything. Fridge was stocked with water, sodas and milk. Coffee, cereal and snacks were provided. This property feels like you are out in the country but is actually so close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Great communications from the owners. We highly recommend the Galloway Place.

We LOVED this home...felt so cozy and inviting. The antique and time-period decor was beautiful and added to its charm. It was extremely clean and very well taken care of! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could possibly need and more. They even have the nice kind of TP in the bathrooms --sounds funny but some people put the cheap stuff in there, but not here! :-) The grounds were so beautiful -- quiet and lots of trees. Lots of deer and even the next-door miniature horse, Gracie, let us pet her frequently. We were close to everything, yet being close to Sequiota Park and the setting made us feel like we were outside of town. The owners were very friendly and communicative. The check-in and check-out process was extremely easy and smooth. I would highly recommend this place as a wonderful get-away!

The house was exceptionally clean. All accommodations at the house were exactly what we needed. If your looking for a place to chill and relax with family this is it.

We enjoyed the quiet sleep, nice surroundings, and easy drive to the local family's home. The biology guy noticed your book "Trees of Missouri" and went for a walk at the park; and the fabric gal had space to spread out a project in the downstairs laundry room. Bonus! and snacks and a complete coffee bar!

Our stay at Galloway Place was absolutely perfect, far and away our best vacation rental experience ever. The cottage is even more charming in person, attractively and comfortably furnished, super clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Deborah and Darren were excellent hosts and incredibly responsive and welcoming. I loved the access to the trails and park, and shopping and other amenities were close by as well. We could not have asked for anything better, and hope we have the opportunity to stay at Galloway Place again.

My sisters and I have an annual getaway trip to Springfield and the Galloway house is our favorite place to stay. It's near places to shop and eat yet it's tucked away in a place that makes it a quiet place to relax. It's always super clean and comfy. And the owners, Deborah and Darren, couldn't be any nicer.

We four sisters had a wonderful reunion at Galloway Place. The gathering spaces were comfortable, the kitchen very well supplied with what we needed, the decor was fun and very clean, the bedrooms met our needs and it was quiet at night. Deborah and Darren were very friendly and easy to work with. We would not hesitate to book again if we were at a Springfield gathering again.

We had the best time at your house. The covered porch was where we spent most our time hanging out. The decor is just lovely and inviting. Very spacious and the most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in at a VRBO or hotel. The location was perfect for access to restaurants and the park/trails. Gracie the pony in the backyard was an added bonus! Coffee, beverages, and snacks were much appreciated. Thanks for a perfect time!

We had a great experience the house was well maintained, love the way it was set up, the owners had everything you could think of incase you forgot something. The owners were very polite and worked well with us to accommodate our stay. We do this every year and hope to be able to use this house again in the future

The home on a nice farm feel property worked out perfect for our family. It's on the edge of town and allowed us to get all over Springfield in 10-15 minutes. The upstairs bedrooms were perfect for our 3 teens and downstairs area was great for the grandparents . Smaller kitchen worked out for preparing our breakfast. The patio with lights was really nice. Thank you for sharing this home as a place to return to and relax.

Our family greatly enjoyed our time in this very well equipped home. Owners were happy to work to get it ready even when we contacted them for a last minute rental when our plans had to change. Our boys loved the attic space and we all greatly enjoyed the very character filled home. Owners were exceptional in communication and again working with us when we needed to prolong our stay.

Always a pleasure when we stay at the Galloway Place! We will always come back to stay here!
