Seriously, the pictures of this place do not do it justice. We took a chance on it, and were so pleasantly surprised!! What a beautiful place. Well kept, clean, and stocked. The owners were also better at being in touch than anyone we've ever rented from. If we could give this 6 or 7 stars, we would.

We stayed at this house with 2 other couples during Columbus day weekend and everything was perfect. Its located in the Galena Territory and very close to downtow. The house was very clean, plenty of space for 6 adults, amd it had everything you need. Dan, the host was very helpful and easy to reach. We will stay here again!

It was a perfect stay for the 3 of us ( hubby, pup, and myself) to get away from the Corporate Life. Eagle Ridge is such an amazing community to stay, and so close to downtown Galena. The owner Dan is so easy to deal with and he responds to your texts/calls immediately. Great guy!

The cabin was nice. The location was good and the owner responded quickly to messages. However, there were a few things that could have been better. The coffee maker took hours to make a single cup of coffee. The drain in the main floor shower took about 10 minutes to drain and you could only watch DVDs on a few of the TVs. The downstairs bathroom and bedroom were not as clean as they could have been. Cobwebs on the lights and some kind of animal droppings in the bathroom. Im assuming a previous guest had a dog and it didn't get cleaned up.

This place is great for outdoors relaxation for the family. Convenient location to everything in Galena Territory. As it is outdoorsy, keep in mind that there are the usual array of bugs that get in, such as moths in the loft bedroom and ants/spiders throughout. Wi-Fi is very spotty and the DirecTV rarely got a signal. 2 out of 3 DVD players did not work either. However, if you’re not squeamish about bugs and don’t mind the quiet, this is a great place to relax. Lots of birds and others critters around to take in.

We enjoyed our time in the Galena Territory and at Serenity Cabin! Our teens really enjoyed the pool table. Great location, close to many activities. Property owner was great with communication and checking on us during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

The wooded background view was beautiful along with all the plants planted around the home. Everything was so convenient and well set up. The pool table was an absolute hit and kept everyone busy. We were able to have a great dinner delivered so we didn't have to really cook, but we could if we needed too. We were able to hit the town and attend my little sister's wedding and enjoy Grant Park. The drive was easy and the facilities were amazing where we stayed. We will be back when we have more time to spend doing all the other activities that Galena has to offer! Thank you so much for having us! :)

The owner gave us great direction and how to get in the house. He also gave us recommendations for the area. We enjoyed our stay in the community. Was relaxing and was able to be adventurous by the Mississippi River. The town was close to the house. Would recommend the house for a nice getaway.

We enjoy ourselves as a Family.

We enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was comfortable and roomy for the 7 of us. I didn't notice that all 3 bedrooms were on different floors, which is not ideal for small children, but that was my mistake. Everything else was comfortable. I recommend getting more/new pots and pans and knives. They were very difficult to cook with.

Great cabin.

This is a decent, clean cabin in a very quiet neighborhood. We had along our five children and our small dog. It is not secluded, but we never saw another person outside, nor heard any noise from vehicles or people. The Galena Territories is very pretty and very quiet, but it's easy to get lost in!! Dan had very detailed directions to get to the cabin, dumpster, owner's club, etc. He also answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly...and was very flexible and gracious when the details of our trip changed due to our son's accident. He is one of the best hosts we have dealt with. The cabin didn't have a lot in the way of kitchen pots/pans/cooking supplies, if you are cooking many meals for a larger family, but we got by with what was there. The fireplace was lovely and very fun for the kids to experience, and the pool table downstairs was awesome. It's around an hour drive to Dubuque. Overall, nice cabin in a nice location, with a nice host. :)

Great location, great communication from host, comfy beds & hot showers! Plenty of soft towels for all of us! The kitchen and baths were clean. The cabin was older, and decorated in a charming north woods style. It is on our repeat stay list!

While the house was smaller than I anticipated, we thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're looking for a get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. The amenities in the Galena Territory were excellent and the town of Galena was a true gem.

What a perfect find! Our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers that LOVE their own space) had a blast staying here! We had plenty of room to spread out, play some pool and board games, and roam through Galena. Awesome cabin!!!

Had a great time the property's conveniently located and the amenities were sufficient. The views all around were amazing.

A fun adult family get away in The Galena Territory. The landscape is beautiful! The cabin is in a very quiet neighborhood with good separation between properties and the view from the rear deck is wooded. The 3 separate bedrooms were very nice with comfortable beds. We brought dinner for the first night and ingredients to make breakfast in the morning and found the kitchen to be supplied well enough. The smoke detector did go off when cooking bacon, but the owner had warned us so we didn’t feel concerned. We watched March Madness in the main living area and enjoyed the natural wood burning fireplace. We thought it would’ve been nice to have more comfy furniture to seat 6 adults, but it is a smaller space so we understood. Played lots of pool - the room with the table is rather small, but we still had a fun! We visited the Members Club and used the basketball court and ping pong tables. The drive into Galena is about 15 minutes and worth the visit! We had fun exploring, shopping and had dinner there the second day. If you enjoy history or shopping then this is a great place for you. The owner was very responsive and accommodating.

We spent the weekend here (6 women) and it was perfect. Secluded enough, but also close enough to galena to explore. Would definitely book again.

We loved the Galena territory and really enjoyed the cabin. We are at Frank Odowds one night and cooked in the rest of our meals. It was a close drive to downtown Galena but not too close you get traffic. The parking spot is a bit steep if it is snowy and icy so we parked closer the street. The house was in great shape and we were very comfortable. The pool table was fun at night and the table upstairs had lots of room for games.

Originally we were going to bring our dog, wonderful to have that option, but ended up just 2 of my grandchildren, daughter and mother. Snowed as we were driving there. As soon as we got there the kids ran out of the car and enjoyed playing in the wooded yard. We loved being together in a well appointed home. Incredibly comfortable with everything we needed. Thank you!

This is a nice house with all the amenities incase you did not bring something. Just like being at a summer home! The home owner communication is fast and clear. I would recommend staying here.

Perfect for a relaxing extended weekend trip with family. Cabin was clean, pet friendly, and in a great location. Loved the outside fire pit. Dan was easy to communicate with and made sure we had detailed directions which made navigating the territory a breeze. Will definitely be back!

this please was excellent for our family to disconnect from our day-to-day and enjoy some quality time. We enjoyed long walks, the pool and made a few trips to downtown Galena for dinner and shopping.
