Everything was first class. Beautiful unique property

Wow! What a beautiful and clean place to stay! We loved our time in this home! Each day we noticed a new detail in the art. Would love to return for another visit!

The house is a work of art! We had every amenity you could possibly need. Perfect location. Beautiful and relaxing outdoor area. Will recommend to anyone planning a Santa Fe trip.

This is our very favorite property of all. We have stayed here on several trips (3?4?) and always try to get the Hobbit House, if possible. The house is beautifully decorated and every need has been anticipated. On this trip, we had our two grown daughters with us and the house easily and comfortably accommodated all of us. This property is magical! Intricate artistic details everywhere but approachable enough for our children (8 and 11). While there are plenty of adventures to be had in Santa Fe, this home is beautiful and well appointed enough to have just as much fun staying in. Excellent location, responsive hosts. We have visited Santa Fe a few times before and look forward to coming back and staying in the Hobbit House again!

This house was an absolute dream! We spent a full week here with a total of 6 people and it was comfortable, well-appointed, and very conveniently located. Every logistical detail was considered, from a thorough binder full of local recommendations to a fully-stocked linen closet with innumerable extra towels, sheets, and blankets. But beyond that - the house is simply gorgeous. Hats off to Terry and Sheila for creating a home that is itself a work of art. We were dazzled by the design of every room, and probably took as many pictures of the house as we did the sites in and around Santa Fe. We would be delighted to return!

We LOVED our stay at the Hobbit house! Not only was the house a piece of art which made our stay feel whimsical but you could tell that the hosts really care about making sure their guests are comfortable. We’ve stayed in many different short term rental homes and not one other has been as comfortable. The hosts here made sure there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap, etc.. There were also cleaning supplies to clean up after ourselves which we so appreciated! They even left some coffee and 1/2 and 1/2 for us! The check in/out was simple and the hosts were very responsive to all of our messages before and during our stay! And the only reason I reached out during our stay was to exclaim about the beautiful home! And back to the home. I spent lots of time admiring the architecture and the art of making the arched doorways, the stained glass (the front door in the morning light was my favorite!!), the wall paintings, and the mosaic work!! So all that to say THANK YOU to our amazing hosts!!

One word "PERFECTION". Excellent stay, the house is a living piece of artwork. Excellent location for all activities in Santa Fe. Do yourself a favor and book this property. ~Tracy & Anna

Totally lived up to the description and previous reviews. The most hospitable stay we’ve had.

I wanted to give this property six stars, but five stars is the maximum allowed. The owners spent 5 years working on this property and it shows. Attention was paid to even the smallest details. The interior is breathtaking in its simplicity and beauty. Although we had seen photos of the interior, they could not possibly do it justice. There is an astounding amount of custom mosaic tile work. In addition, the home is both spacious and functional. The multiple skylights made the use of lights during the day unnecessary. Beds were extremely comfortable and the home was spotless. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners and found the kitchen the most well-equipped of any place we have ever rented.

The SF hobbit house was absolutely beautiful. The details in the interior design alone are incredible (mosaic tile designs throughout the entire house were like works of art). The location was convenient to the Plaza and other surrounding areas. I hope to visit Santa Fe again and I would love to stay here again! The hosts were so friendly!

We highly recommend staying here. I stay with my sister-in-law, her sister and her sister-in-law. It was a perfect girls getaway beautiful home we didn’t wanna leave it.

This was such a gorgeous home. Every time we looked around we saw something else that wowed us. Also, it's very well-equipped and clean. We were always glad to drive back to this as our base.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hobbit House! The house and fountain was even more beautiful than the photos, and it was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Shelia was incredibly welcoming and accommodating in her communication, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering both serenity and easy access to local attractions. We loved the well-equipped kitchen and the comfortable beds. Overall, our vacation was made perfect by this wonderful rental, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable experience!

The house is truly amazing and that alone might have been enough but, it was also one of the best equipped rental properties I've stayed at. Great location for exploring Santa Fe and the surrounding area. We utilized Trader Joe's nearby and cooked almost exclusively.

What a beautiful home! My friends and I were in town for a Wedding at the Four Seasons. The Hobbit House made our weekend even more magical. The home is amazing, and the pictures you see in the post do not do the craftsmanship any justice. We arrived to a gorgeous, clean home, check in was a breeze. Directions were left out, and every easy to understand. The location is great, walking distance to food and shops if necessary. I cannot stress how magical, and uniquely beautiful this home is. The patio/backyard was like our personal Shangri-La. I come to Santa Fe often, and when not staying with friends I plan on coming back to the Hobbit House. Thank you to our hosts, for sharing this amazing place with us!!!

I cannot say enough good things. In addition to the good location, the clean home, the clear instructions, the comfortable beds, functional kitchen and bath, and spacious eating and sitting areas, the home is an artistic masterpiece! We felt like we were living in a work of art. The photos on the website don’t begin to show the amazing artistry of this spectacular but comfortable home.

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful home full of exquisite tile mosaics, inlaid woodwork, and murals on many of the walls. No detail was left undone (even the garage is gorgeous). I kid you not! Everything was clean and functional. Plenty of privacy and very comfortable with a large kitchen, living room, and furnished back deck with a waterfall/fountain. We appreciated the separate AC units per room as that allowed us to individualize the room temps for sleeping. We highly recommend this spot for a getaway to Santa Fe and would have no qualms about staying again.

This house is gorgeous! My siblings (+ spouses) and I spent a week here during our visit to Santa Fe and could not have been more pleased. It was so comfortable and inviting and the artistry of the home and decor was exceptional. The design and tile work is exquisite! The owners were very responsive and the instructions they left were very clear and helpful. We loved the location (p.s. the local bakery Clafoutis, around the corner was a plus!). Easy to get to downtown and local attractions. I highly recommend this home if you plan to be in the Santa Fe area.

What an interior! The attention to every detail was astonishing. The house exceeded our expectations, and the owners were very responsive.

My two gal pals and I loved this house. From the minute we walked in we knew we were in for a treat. The house is a work of art - every time we turned around there was something else to see. The woodwork, the tile work, and the glass doors were absolutely beautiful and amazing. We didn’t really use the kitchen except for breakfast and appetizers before we went out but it was clearly well equipped if one wanted to eat in. Beds were comfortable and linens were nice. The outdoor area was terrific with the waterfall, comfortable seating area and the resident chipmunks and hummingbirds. The location is perfect. It was close to TJ’s and other shopping and it was close to restaurants. Paper Dosa was the best!!!! We were able to walk to town if we wanted (and we did). We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Couldn’t have been better, really! The French bakery/restaurant was a treat in every way. This house was amazing with all the artistry. The only thing that would have made it better was information about the house and art.

Staying at this house is an exceptional experience. The house itself is a feast for the eyes from the mosaics to the landscaping. It is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The location is walking distance to a delightful French bakery and short driving distance to all Santa Fe has to offer. You won’t want to leave.

The house does not disappoint. It’s even more beautiful than the photos on VRBO. Great downtown location, close to everything. A Santa Fe oasis. The backyard and patio are a peaceful retreat. The home is a whimsical sensory experience. We all enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Hobbit House.

This home is lovely, the tile work & doors throughout the home are gorgeous. The backyard was so beautiful & serene with the waterfall. The home was spotless & the owners have everything well stocked. Easy drive into downtown, loved the French bakery at end of the street. Highly recommend, hated to leave this beautiful home.
