We loved the house! The pool was awesome. Our boys fished several times, tried out the kayaks and loved the pool table. House has everything you need. Quick drive to the Sponge Docks and beach. We would definitely go back!

Loved our stay, home is well equipped and loved the screened pool.

The house was great, having the pool & kayaks was wonderful! My husband & son saw 5 manatees in the canal just outside of the house & were able to get into the kayaks & observe them for 1/2 hour. So cool!

We had a wonderful stay & couldn't of asked for anything better! The property was an oasis & had all the amenities one needed. The house was very clean & decorated beautifully! Don & kriss were so kind & nice & there if you needed anything! We even got to see a dolphin in the canal along with catching fish & a couple blue crabs! The pool was so much fun & relaxing! We will definitely be back!

This house was truly a sanctuary away from it all especially during this time of COVID. The house is the cleanest one we have ever rented. The kayaks were awesome to have right there. Had a marvelous time and would go back again.

Our second stay in less than 2 months. Need I say more? Stellar cleanliness, and well equipped home with everything one could need. Love the pool as well as the pool table. A quiet place to relax. My hats off to the owners for all the thoughtful touches that make this rental home so wonderful!

We really enjoyed every minute of our stay in this fabulous rental! The owners gave consideration to every inch of this Floridian bungalow in regards to cleanliness, comfort, play, and visual enjoyment. This home was sparkling clean throughout, as well as outdoors, and wonderfully decorated. Definitely not the “devoid of decor and character” vacation rental that is so typical. A lot of love has been put into this home. A well stocked kitchen, bathroom amenities, plenty of towels, super comfy linens and beds along with beautiful landscaping, and incredible pool and lanai. We loved the river views and had lovely sunsets nightly. Because of the current pandemic we spent the majority of our time right “at home” and made use of the pool and pool table. It was a perfect place to celebrate our 31st anniversary. We enjoyed the close proximity to Tarpon Springs and did our best to eat our way through the awesome restaurants there. Our week flew by way too fast and it was really difficult to leave this perfect paradise. We definitely hope to return soon. Without a doubt our favorite vacation home we have rented. This property had absolutely everything you thought you needed and some things you didn't even realize you needed. Two of our recipes required a potato masher which we forgot but no worries, there was one there of course. They have thought of everything. I think it is the cleanest property I've ever stayed in. You could never leave the property and have an excellent vacation with the large pool, dock for fishing and kayaking and pool table inside with games and puzzles as well yet it's located very conveniently to enjoy the beach, good food, historical locations and amusement/entertainment locations. I can't recommend this property enough! We hope to go back someday!

This trip was amazing. If you want a place to relax and feel like you are on vacation without exposing yourself to covid, this oasis is PERFECT! During our stay, the temp was in the low to mid 90's with heat index in the 100's. It was very hot, but floating in that pool made the weather feel absolutely wonderful. We'd go kayaking in the morning when it was cool and then hang out in the pool the rest of the day. When we took a break from the sun, we'd head into the house to play pool. We honestly had the best time. This is such a great property. Since the pool is screened in, you don't have to worry about bugs.. That was a huge plus for me. We started the week with a Walmart grocery pickup and didn't have to leave the house all week. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners go above and beyond to make this a great experience. We had a hard time leaving and can't stop day dreaming about this property. Many thanks to Don and Kriss for sharing their little piece of paradise with us.

Very clean had everything we needed enjoyed it

This home rates right up at the top of my list of rentals that I have stayed at over the years. Everything that you could possibly want or need was available. The location is great for nearby attractions, shopping and grocery shopping. The pool is ultra clean and large. Fishing and crabbing off the dock area is an extra bonus. We did not take advantage of the bikes or kayaks but they were available to us. We do plan on returning to this rental again.

We stayed for 5 weeks at this unique property. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Having access to the water from the property was a real treat. We went kayaking almost every day, and there is so much to see within an easy kayak of the house. The house itself was exceptionally clean, and was full of everything that we needed. The covered outside deck was useful on the very hot days so you could be outside without being in the sun. The pool is a good size for a backyard pool, and provided a great place to cool off. We could not have been happier with our choice of this home. Over the first few days, I communicated with the owners with questions as they arose. They responded promptly with the information we needed. The house is a good size, and the garage provided a good storage area for items we did not need often. Highly recommended.

We loved our week over New Year. Great location got nearby Tarpon Springs and Dunedin plus various local beautiful beaches for amazing sunsets and within easy trips to Clearwater, Tampa and St. Petes. Solar powered pool a little too chilly for use this time of year though

Don and Kriss's house was nice and well stocked for a rental property. We enjoyed our stay very much especially the pool and patio.

Everything online was how it was when we got there. Loved that they had everything in the house that we needed especially for cooking! We enjoyed driving short distances to some of the beaches close by, honeymoon island is absolutely beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay at Lodestar very much. It was just what my family was looking for...something clean and affordable, with a pool and an area to fish...within easy driving distance of Clearwater and Tampa. That is exactly what we got. We mostly needed a home base to do what we wanted to do on vacation...visit Clearwater, Tampa, Busch Gardens, Weeki Wachee and Caledesi Island. It was exactly what we got. We had room to spread out, a place to relax and unwind and to swim and fish...we never drove more that 40 minutes to get to do or see all that we wanted, which was reasonable. We were a tad concerned diving up to the property, as it seems to be in a much older neighborhood...but once inside the house the photos are entirely accurate... The house is clean and spacious. The view from the living area and pool are wonderful. May not be the most modern, but we had all of the comforts of home, including a huge garage. Although we brought our own fishing poles, we saw many there, as well as baskets for crabbing (we had no luck), bicycles and 4 kayaks. Pool toys, inflatables...life jackets...kitchen utensils and condiments...even spare light bulbs. We were totally well equipped for our stay. We did catch many fish from the floating dock...but only catfish...big catfish... We used the kayaks and swam in the pool when we weren't dodging raindrops. Visited the Sponge Docks and had a good Greek meal. I recommend going over to Caladesi by ferry...we had a great time there. We drove to Johns Pass one day to get out of the incessant rain and found a great little village (that was thankfully dryer) to shop, eat and jet ski. Great for a hay---or half day trip. Did not know how close we were to Weeki Wachee...and it being the summer it is a great bargain at $13 per person (including parking) to see the famous mermaids and to let the kids swim in the natural springs and use the water slides... Nice slice of old Florida that I heard my parents talk about growing up. Wish we had better weather...that would be all that I would change. Otherwise, this is a very nice, affordable get away if you want to beat the crowds and spread out. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home.

Dennis & Cathy We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful rental, and would definitely recommend this place, and would rent this again. It was peaceful and quiet the whole time. The bonus for us was the pool table with a lot of room. The place was well stocked with all the essentials that we needed. The stores and restaurants are within 10 minutes.

This place was a wonderful, relaxing place to get away from the cold of Connecticut! So wonderful to wake up to beautiful sunrises sipping coffee on the veranda that overlooks the river and covered pool! The pool was clean and inviting to swim in everyday and the kayaks were a nice bonus. We got to see eagles, herons and fish jumping out of the water - but the highlight was to see a manatee munching on the sea grass in the late afternoon! The house was very clean, lots of beach and bath towels available to use and the kitchen was equipped with plenty of condiments, paper towels and other useful items. The house was close to stores and easy to get anywhere- Tampa, Clearwater, etc. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing stay- we didn’t need to go to the beach- with the pool and river right at our fingertips! We would love to stay here again when and if in the area!

My boys and I had a great stay at this home. It was clean and very comfortable. We had no problems here. Another plus is that it was just minutes away from a variety of beaches and kid and adult friendly places. The pool was an absolute hit with my boys. Lovely home. Enjoyed the beautiful pool. Hubby caught many species of fish from dock. Crabs, alligator gar, red fish, cat fish and more. Had so much fun playing pool. Great cacsyipn. Thank you.

House was amazing. Fullly stocked with all kitchen utensil as and appliances. Plenty of linens and towels. The pool and outside area where awesome. We caught like 5 different species of fish from the dock. I highly recommend taking a Kayak and exploring the river. We will be back. Thanks again Kriss!!

we stayed 9 days and had a great time, the house was clean and comfortable and the covered pool was the icing on everything.

My family and I loved every minute spent in the home. It is very cozy and comfortable and loved the different sitting areas in the living room. The home is very clean and well equipped and the pool was enjoyed by all. I definitely recommend this home.
