We love Ocean Lakes. This house was exactly as described. No frills but great for our group with kids. The deck was in a little rougher shape than I would have liked and a table with chairs on the deck would have been great. Just Adirondack chairs. Huge laundry room that was convenient!

Great house, plenty of room and fully stocked with necessities. Only thing keeping me from giving five stars is a grill was limited as part of the amenities and it wasn’t there. Not the end of the world, we bought a cheap charcoal grill to cook in during the week. Other than that, loved our stay.

We loved the home and the layout of the house. We have 4 children so having 2 living rooms and 3 bathrooms was great. The property manager is VERY friendly and responds quickly and politely to all messages and questions.

Our stay was great. The house is very nice with plenty of room!! The house could have been cleaner- there were bugs in places and on the pillowcases (thankfully we brought everything of our own). Overall, we had a great trip!

We had a wonderful week, and Shannon was very easy to get ahold of and helpful. We had a little issue with the Wifi, which she did her best to get fixed - and refunded us accordingly when it was not able to be fixed in a timely manner. The house was as described and was great for us. There were a lot of little things that could be fixed around the house, but other than that it was perfect! Shannon(and the current renters) went above and beyond when we left a laptop in the closet. Thank you again for a great stay!

House was very clean and spacious. The manager was great and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor decks were perfect for entertaining and the upstairs den and balcony provided a perfect place for the kids to have space to stretch out and relax. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location for large group, only negative was that none of the televisions upstairs worked, but there was so much to do - that was not an issue.

House was great! TONS of space, minor cleanliness issues however, that’s most places in Ocean Lakes! It’s at the back of Ocean Lakes so a golf cart is a must but perfect location and easy to get in and out. Kitchen was stocked great, big laundry space with leftover supplies if you need extra. Great porch area and space for up to 4 cars and the golf cart!

This was an amazing place! It was spacious for amount of people we had staying! Super clean and easy to communicate with owners!

My family very much so enjoyed staying at this property. The house was comfortable and relaxing. Having access to all the ocean lakes amenities was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Great!

Well this was not a great experience. Our stay started off with a broken garage (which was the access to the house key). One of us happened to just pull it right open. The house wasn’t cleaned well. The linens are suppose to be washed and beds made by the renters. Which isn’t possible to get everything washed and made back before check out. Talk about a stressful vacation. Not to mention who knows if renters who make the beds actually wash the sheets. None of the linens match. They were just folded up in piles of the pieces for us to figure out. Another un-relaxing way to start a vacation. The kitchen was just as disorganized. The kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets were dirty with crumbs and random screws. I found a used contact on the floor of one of the bedrooms. The outdoor shower wasn’t maintained and filled with fall leaves. The house had several other issues due to lack of maintenance. I won’t rent the house again.

We had a great time this past week. The house was great and enough room for two families (7 people). The homeowner let me know ahead of time of a couple of things to look out for. I really appreciated that. Would deff stay here again. Thank you for a memorable family vacation!!

This property has potential. Things that need attention: -AC not working -Grille needs new burners and burner covers. I donated 3 burner covers of 5. -Unit needs a thorough deep cleaning (return vents, behind toilets, ect...) -Blinds are needing replaced (Damaged) -Storm door on upper floor will not open. Latch issue (fire hazard) -Cleaners did not clean the bathrooms (Hairs in shower) also floor sticky at garbage can area. -Toilet brushes are laying on the shelves under the sink. This is a storage area (Gross) -Pans are needing replaced. I had to buy a skillet. -Ice maker is under the sink instead of in the freezer working? -Mattress pads had hair on them. (Not cleaned) -Other than these negative's, this house has a great layout for a family with lots of teenagers. It also has updated appliances, granite counter tops, and updated flooring. It could stand some updated decorating.

We had an amazing stay in Myrtle Beach. The home was beautiful and well maintained. We would definately rent this property again. Thank you Shannon for an amazing rental. If there was one thing I could suggest it would be more pillows for the beds.

Property looks fine on outside but had worn mismatched bedding, worn comforters, scraps for towels (frayed,, mismatched and worn-not even worthy of a goodwill donation), heavily stained carpet, filthy walls, torn furniture, 3 stains on ceiling with drywall tape pealing, no towel bars or toilet paper holders so no place to hang towels or put toilet paper.. Had to kill 5 roaches inside the property and many roaches on the deck. General this campground is nice but very crowded and geared toward young children. Pools too crowded to use. With all the issues I had, the property manager said I would get a reduction on the price but has been over one month and have yet to get a credit or check in mail. The property manager is ignoring my emails.

To begin with we did enjoy our time at Ocean Lakes. This house was a good floor plan for the eight of us who were there. Problems included not having a dining room table, several light bulbs out, good sized tear on soft back chair, a couple of tv’s not working, and mold on exterior steps and deck that a good power washing could fix, the house was as advertised. If owners make repairs, it would be a good place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay and found the house better than expected. It's very large and easily accommodated all 10 of us. There are two living areas that gave the kids and adults plenty of space. The 3 bathrooms are ideal for a beach house and all have their doors to a hallway that provided easy access. The house is located near the front of Ocean Lakes which does have some advantages like being able to park your car (in one of the 5 spots) and use it only for trips outside of the campground. We had a golf cart that made trips to the beach easy. A golf cart is a must. Rentals available from Ocean Lakes. The owner provided us a lot of information and assistance as we got close to our check-in date. The house did have extra bedding, paper products, and even some food items in the kitchen from other guests. We tried to leave more than we found for the next renters. There were some beach toys (boogie boards) for the kids as well. We'd definitely stay again - and are planning our next trip.

House was great and good set up if staying with grandparents! House keeping need to do a better job though. :)

Ocean Lakes Campground itself is amazing. The kids love it and all the activities. Unfortunately this property is poorly maintained overall. It was large and provided plenty of space, and the 3 bathrooms were a bonus, there were also lot of beach items in the garage to be borrowed. Inside however was a disappointment. This home most definitely was not cleaned before we arrived. It looked like how I would leave it as a VRBO user when I check out. It was "picked up" but definitely not "clean". There was hair in the sinks and bathtubs, cooked ground beef around the island, appliances not cleaned, floors and walls dirty. I had to do a thorough cleaning upon arrival. I notified the owner and she responded quickly with an apology, but no offer to have someone come clean it. She said she would "notify the cleaning crew", but I suspect there isn't one. The home itself also was poorly maintained. Many things were broken (water faucets, drawers, cabinets, etc). There were water stains all on the wall from water leaks, scuff marks all up and down the stair case, and the carpet was dirty. The couch had a rip and two stools were broken. After we checked in the owner sent a message "so you know the cleaning crew said there is a rip in the couch and they broke a stool on accident"- however, it seemed these things were long broken and just not fixed. Outside was a real disappointment. The wood of the deck is not maintained and you will easily get splinters. My husband gashed his foot open on broken wood and needed first aide from the campground. They do not retain pest control, so when the sun goes down the Palmetto bugs/roaches swarm. There were 50+ bugs running around the deck and stairs. If we came home after dusk my kids refused to walk up the stairs because of the bugs and made us carry them in. So we couldn't sit out on the deck at night and enjoy the sights. At check in she said "pest company is coming"- again probably because the prior tenants complained and not because anyone was realistically coming. So we sent a message to the owner on the second night because it was out of control and I found bugs in the cabinets. She sent a pest company, however, she did not retain their services and the bugs were not sprayed for. I wouldn't be surprised if the tenants after us got many of the same "stories" as we did. The owner was quick to respond, but it all felt like a well rehearsed cover story with no real solutions/action.

This property was just big enough for our vacation. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved it! Beautiful ,spacious, clean home and lots of parking space. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact. We would definitely stay again!!!

We really enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for everyone. We came down for a softball tournament and had a couple of extra players with us. There was plenty of room for the whole family plus the extra girls. Having three bathrooms was a definite plus! Even though they are ball players,....they still have to look cute! So having three bathrooms worked out well for us.

My extended family had a great stay in this house. We had plenty of space for our large group and enjoyed the location. That being said, there were a few issues. We found several food wrappers and cans from the previous renters in bedrooms. The cleaning service could definitely be more thorough. Also the house was missing some basic items. The beds had sheets and comforters but there were no blankets in the house. Also most of the beds did not have pillows for sleeping - only decorative ones. The non-stick coating on the skillet was flaking off so badly that we cooked scrambled eggs in a pot rather than use it. A quick trip to the nearby WalMart and we had many of the needed items. We'd stay here again, but pack a few more things.
