Ive never been more disappointed in a hostel than this one. I had a very bad kidney infection and asked 11 days prior to the booking if i could cancel because I HAD TO URGENTLY FLY BACK TO FRANCE and they refuse to refund me not even 1€ because it was not 14 days before... I then tried to change the date to later so that I can respect THEIR rules of 14 days and cancel but they still refused.. For a place that loves speaking about well being etc, their lack of empathy and flexibility is just sickening. Shame on you and keep in mind that you reap what you sow. If i could put 0 stars I would have.

It’s a cool place with this surf atmosphere, I liked that. It’s surrender by wilderness, at night you can hear some animals in the jungle. Very calm place. They offer you tours to the mangroves, to the waterfalls, the beaches and they can give you surf classes, of course you must pay.

I was expecting this place next to beach but is not, actually is not a really problem, is just that is also far away from the harbor and the streets are really bad, to arrive there you must take a transport or walk a long distance maybe 40 minutes. If you have the proper shoes is not a problem, in my case the weather was awful, windy and rainy and we didn’t have so much fun at the place. For sure in a sunny day must be marvelous the island with all that nature.

Some room for improvement on the cleanliness of the room. Also one night the dog was barking non-stop, but sonce they don't live on the facilities no one was taking care of her. So I had to get out of bed at 3 am and try to calm her down before going back to sleep

It was nice to chill out in the hammocks (when there was no construction work happening). Safe place as the family and volunteers were always around and you can use the kitchen after they've finished cooking.

The door to my dorm did not stay closed, we had to put the chair in front of it. I only had lunch once as the portion was pretty small and the restaurant down the road was better prepared to cater for vegans.

People are great in this place. the woman in the kitchen help me with my cooking Colombian food. They help me with the tours I want to go. The place was really quiet and peaceful.

Charming lights

They don't give you a key to lock the door!! How can anyone feel at ease when they are on the beach while their belongings are left behind an open door. Basically you are paying to 'give papaya' ... When asked about the reason the manager said people forgot to give the keys back. Did it never occur to him to ask for a deposit for the keys instead of not handing them out again? He said nothing will happen, because there are cameras in the hallways. Well, in a country like Colombia with a pretty much non-functioning legal system, what would you possibly do if someone stole your laptop, smartphone, smartwatch and other valuables. There is literally nothing you can do. There are no towels in the room and no bin either, so you have to be inventive. The place has potential, but it's management is clearly a joke.
