Decent sized room with good facilities except no kettle/tea/coffee. Clean and tidy.

There were wires hanging out of the walls. Mid refurb? Nothing was mentioned when booking.

The girls in the staff were not friendly and it was very uncomfortable to ask them for something. They had an angry look at there face and when we asked them something they reacted very rude. When we returned from an event with a lot of trafficjams we called the owner/host if it was possible to eat around 830pm and he told us that the kitchen closes at 8pm so we had to drive an hour to somewhere else to get food and when we finally returned to the hotel at 930pm with our pizza there were people eating food inside and when I asked him about it, he told me that they were "special" people.. 🤨 Not cool!!

Phil was very friendly and even called a neighbour to bring us to the wedding location, since taxis are not easily available. The room was simple but clean and tidy. Good value for money.

The owner Mr Philip is a well organised man, very kind and helpful to satisfied his guests. The breakfast is more Belgium-Vallonia, but it could be more improved according guests. So better to ask Mr Philip in advance what do you like to eat next day in breakfast. Philip is also a good cooker for diner ! The room was newly renovated, clean and hygienic. Good measures against covid. No complain during my stay.

This little hotel had everything we wanted for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good, as was the evening meal. The beds were large and comfortable and desk/chairs etc. were practically placed with easy access to power sockets. There was also ample place to hang clothes and a clean bathroom. We stayed in a three-person room and would do so again.

People who know only English will suffer to communicate or even to read menu card. The shower has issues, suddenly switches to hot water and cold water automatically. Very bad experimence in shower.

"Chez Phil" offers a really nice and well-located place to stay. By foot you can quickly get to different hiking trails around and close to the lake of Robertville and the castle "Reinhardstein". The staff is friendly and helpful and the check-in was smooth and easy.

My room was a bit noisy because most of the windows pointed towards the street. But closing them at night reduced this issue sufficiently so that I could sleep really well. I liked that the room was really bright - a luxury that compensates the noise quite well ;-)

The staff are nice and make an effort of speaking more than just FR; mmuch appreciated. The breakfast was ample: you could make an extra sandwich for the day's trek. The location was handy for transport, if a little noisy. The facility asked me if I agreed for two single beds, but we managed to negotiate having them pulled together: a halfway-house solution.

Kitchen closed between lunch (2PM) and dinner (6PM): you have to plan your trekking around restaurant opening hours, but that's a more general problem in this part of Europe. How about a few simple hot dishes being available non-stop?
