Fantastic spacious house, walking distance to everything you need. Hosts are so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this space.

The property is spacious and clean. My only negative is if you have an elderly or disabled people with you ( which i did) the entrance from the back is very steep and the steps have no railing. I would not recommend if you have a wheelchair. The next day we had to try the front entrance which was better. Also we did the one way system 3 times untill we found the rear exit. Otherwise excellent stay.

Great property, great location, nothing not to love. Would come back here in a hearbeat if we come back to the Peak District

We really liked the house and the owners were extremely helpful. Ashbourne was a great base for the Peak District and a terrific town in its own right.

Lovely stay in Ashbourne
We were fortunate enough to stay at this lovely property in Ashbourne over New Year's with my kids and mom. The property is fairly spacious and is well located for outdoors lovers like ourselves who want to make the best of the Peaks and Derbyshire Dales. We had a lovely time.

Excellent location in a vibrant town
Property was very comfortable and well equiped. Located within an easy walk to the centre of town, which has plenty of good places to eat drink and shop.

Great place to explore the area from.
We enjoyed our stay in Ashbourne and the house is in a good location to explore the rest of Derbyshire. Its a 5 minute walk into Ashbourne where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The property is well equipped, although a couple of kitchen items were in need of replacement. I advised Sarah and she said they would be replaced. The property has a garden table and chairs which we were able to make use of on some days. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Family get together in Ashbourne

EXCELLENT PROPERTY FOR VISITING ASHBOURNE
We lived the property and it’s location, which was a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Ashbourne. The rear parking was very useful. The lovely kitchen was fully equipped and you could be entirely self-catered. We even used the table and chairs in the garden one sunny afternoon. The beds were comfortable too. This property has everything you need for a stress-free break and the welcome gifts were appreciated.

Home from home
Well appointed modern kitchen with everything provided such as washing up liquid, soap, dishwasher tablets etc. Spacious dining room. Living room small and leather sofa a little tired but everything works. Plenty of space in the 3 bedrooms and blackout blinds help with bright morning sunshine. The bannister near the bathroom could be taller as you might easily go over it during the night when forgetting your not at home! Excellent rear parking space, never had space at front all week. The rear garden had excellent sun till late each evening, sat out dining. We would highly recommend this property.

Fantastic birthday break.
We had a fantastic girls break away for my 50th birthday. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Sarah, who couldn’t have been more helpful with various questions. You are provided with everything you need for a self catering break with a cosy sitting room, comfy beds and a great shower !! The house is perfectly situated with the centre of Ashbourne a 10min stroll away. Lots of cafes, pubs & restaurants to suit all tastes. A highly recommended property, and one I would love a return visit to. Many thanks x

Wonderful Christmas Stay
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home.
We were 4 adults and the house is a good size. The kitchen has a heated floor ( such a treat in winter!) and is modern and well stocked with crockery, glasses and pans etc. We really appreciated this because we did cook in the house and we weren’t short of anything. Over the years we have stayed in a lot of rental homes and this one definitely had one of the best kitchens. The dining room is quite large and although the living room was a little on the smaller size we all had a comfy seat!
Sarah added a wonderful touch with some decorations and a Christmas tree which helped make it feel more like a home from home.
It’s very handy for the town and quick access to Tissington trail.

Weekend break
Great location, house very clean and tidy, had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend in the Peak District. We based ourselves in Ashbourne and drove to different places each day to explore the Peak District. The house was very close to town centre, just a few minutes stroll and you were at the coffee shops, art gallery, supermarket etc... The house itself very comfortable and relaxing for us and the kids.

This cottage is excellent. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, shower was good (despite being over the bath) and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was an easy walk into town.

Perfect place to see the English countryside
We spent Christmas with my family. The kitchen is epic. We cooked a proper holiday meal. The location is perfect to get around time and other places nearby. Rooms were comfortable. Parking is convenient

Fantastic property,great location
Would have given this property 10/10, the only thing that let it down was the state of the oven, the previous quest had left it absolutely filthy, grease on every part, other than that the place was faultless

Lovely and relaxing property
The owners are perfect hosts and provide everything you need to make you stay convenient, comfortable and relaxing. Fantastic location, a 5 minute walk from the town centre at the gateway to the peaks.

Great family holiday
Lovely house, great location, great garden, wonderful kitchen & a Lovely shower.
We stayed with a three year old and one year old so our suggestions are geared around them.
Suggestions: blackout curtains would have been very helpful, banister rail at the top of the stairs is very low compared to ours at home but but fine for the kids, no highchair (it does say there there is one in the description of the property), very loud bell ringing practice. We did think we would be ok with this as we live very close to a church that practice but it woke the kids. No real issues as such just suggestions. Would definitely visit again when the kids are a bit older though, great location for visiting loads of attractions.
Many thanks

Second visit to this charming house in Ashbourne
This was our second visit to this lovely house in Ashbourne. Very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. 5 minute walk to the town centre and only 20 minutes drive to Alton Towers. I’m sure we will visit again!

Few days away in Derbyshire
Had a lovely stay in a well equipped house. Beds were lovely and comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Will probably book again for a longer stay in the warmer weather as there is so much to see and do in the area and the house is in an excellent location with off road parking for two cars .
The only down side for us was that we were five adults so the living room was a bit cramped and the wicker chairs not really comfortable, but it would be ideal for a family. I could also have done with a mirror in the twin room.
5.0
The property was spotlessly clean and in an ideal position overlooking the lovely market town of Ashbourne. We were a family group of 5 attending a wedding at nearby Osmaston Park. The property is an ideal base for walking and cycling including the nearby Tissington Trail. I would definitely like to go back again with more time to spend in this lovely area.

We stayed in this lovely house with our three young children and found it to be clean, warm, comfortable and of a very high standard. The kitchen was excellently equipped and a lovely room to be in which made cooking family meals as easy as being at home (I loved the underfloor heating!). The bathroom is modern and clean with a great shower. The beds are very comfortable and of a good standard.
The house has great views over Ashbourne and it is only five minutes walk to the centre of the town. The nearby church bells do ring out regularly but this wasn't a problem for us as we quickly got used to them.
The location of the house is excellent for families as there is so much to do around the Peak District - we loved Dovedale and the stepping stones, the Tissington Trail, Gullivers Kingdom, the cable cars and caves in Matlock Bath, Bakewell, the Monsal Head, Alton Towers/Cbeebies Land (only 20 minutes drive away)...the list goes on.
Before staying in this house we had never returned to a holiday cottage but we have already stayed at this cottage twice and we are already planning on returning for a third holiday.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday home.

We had a great stay over Christmas & New Years, and the house was perfect for us. The location is excellent, just minutes walk away from Ashbourne market place with some great shops, pubs and restaurants.
The house itself was clean and tidy and Sarah & Andrew (the owners) had kindly added Christmas decorations too, which was a nice touch. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped, the bedrooms (and beds) were good too. The lounge was a little small, but otherwise the house was great.
We would definitely stay here again and would be happy to recommend it to friends and family.

The cottage was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were especially good. The only slight room for improvement could be the lounge but its restricted by size. The welcome wine and chocolates were appreciated. I would stay in the cottage again.
4.0
We had an amazing stay. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. Beds comfy and my son loved the fire in the lounge. As there were 5 of us there were arguments about who was sitting on the sofa as only big enough for 3 and there were 2 wicker chairs. Minor issue though.
We could walk into town, Waitrose and Co op were handy and the kids enjoyed the fish and chip shop.
We loved the Indian and made the most of a trip to Alton Towers.
We also visited Chatsfield House, had an amazing cream tea and fell in love with the farmers shop.
Didn't want to come home.
