Das Dairy Cottage at Hamptons Farmhouse befindet sich in einer wunderschönen ländlichen Gegend zwischen den Dörfern Plaxtol und West Peckham in der Nähe von Sevenoaks und Tonbridge in Kent, dem englischen Garten. Erstaunlich ruhig und friedlich, inmitten von 9 Hektar Land, alles, was zu sehen ist, ist hügelige Landschaft. Dennoch sind wir nur 52 km vom Zentrum von London mit all seinen Theatern, Touristenattraktionen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und kulturellen Aktivitäten entfernt.
Die vier Ferienwohnungen umfassen "Stable Cottage", "Willow Cottage", "Dairy Cottage" und "Little Apple Barn", allesamt wundervolle Umbauten, die zu einem sehr hohen Standard ausgeführt wurden und alle von der hervorragenden Lage und Ausstattung des Hamptons Farmhouse profitieren.
Auf unserem 9 Hektar großen Gelände gibt es so viel zu tun: Vorbei an den Cottages entfaltet sich der wunderschöne Garten mit Ententeich, auf dem Sie auf dem Ruderboot herumpaddeln können. Oder spielen Sie Tischtennis unter freiem Himmel im Schutz der Scheune. Nehmen Sie einen Nachmittagstee auf der Wiese oder spielen Sie Krocket oder Tennis auf den Allwetterplätzen.
Das Hamptons Farmhouse ist sehr kinderfreundlich, sicher (einschließlich der Wasserflächen), aber voller Abenteuer und Aufregung. Katie and Andy were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are gorgeous (big garden, pond, places to sit and relax). Ideal for families. Our granddaughter enjoyed the playground, the playhouse and that there is plenty of room to run about.

Our stay with Katie and Andy was absolutely amazing. The farmhouse is beautiful and the surrounding gardens are huge. It was a great playground for our two years old. The cottage was great, big enough for a family, well equipped and charming.

Owners very friendly. Ideal for children, Lovely outside areas including Romany caravan, Wendy houses, Tennis Court, 2 BBQ areas, 2 trampolines, zip wire, lots is outside seating, duck pond, chickens etc. Plenty of choice, but some of the equipment has seen better days !

Absolutely beautiful property, idyllic surroundings and exactly as listed. Hosts Andy and Katie are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The whole process was efficient and enjoyable. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend without hesitation!

A great place to be immersed in the gorgeous Kent countryside. We stayed at Dairy Cottage, which stayed true to it’s listing on the site. The children particularly enjoyed sleeping in their ‘attic’ space. The property is well stocked with cooking equipment and is hearted nicely for those colder evenings. The best bit for us was exploring the extensive grounds (lots to do for the kids) and enjoying walking directly from the cottage, along public footpaths, to nearby pubs.
Andy was very friendly and gave us a guided tour of the grounds on arrival and answered any questions we had promptly. Also, the info booklet on sight is very thorough, with all you need to know about the property and the surrounding area.
We had a fantastic stay - Thanks Andy and Katie.

I stayed at Dairy Cottage for 10 days while visiting my parents recently. It was absolutely wonderful! What a gorgeous place to stay…I enjoyed several afternoons sitting in the peaceful gardens and soaking up the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything I needed and so comfortable - it really felt like a home away from home. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was such a treat to wake up to on a cool morning, I’m really missing it now I’m back home! Andy & Katie were the perfect hosts and kindly checked in with me to see if I needed anything. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when I next visit the area! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay in the Kent countryside…
I stayed at Dairy Cottage for 10 days while visiting my parents recently. It was absolutely wonderful! Fabulous for Adults and Children
Dairy Cottage is a rural haven, yet so close to London for day trips - but our two girls just wanted to stay on the lovely Hamptons Farmhouse grounds. They like the tennis court now but a few years ago it would have been the trampoline and zip wire.
With the open barn and the gazebo (which overlooks the tennis court and other play facilities) the grown-ups have plenty of places to relax.
Highly recommended.
We will be stay here again.

We had a lovely week in Dairy cottage. On arrival we found food, wine and flowers and the cottage was really comfortable. The surroundings are lovely. There are seats everywhere to enjoy the view or to sit in the shade. We had unusual hot wheather, but the cottage stayed rather cool and there were beautiful big trees to sit under.The children enjoyed the big swing, the trampoline and the tenniscourt.The trainlink from Tonbridge to London was perfect. And we also went (by car) to the Harry Potter studios in Leavesden. That was the highlight of our week!We can truly recommend the accomodation and thank you for a lovely week!

Perfect escape to the country!
We had a perfect stay in Dairy cottage. The cottage was really comfortable. A nice surprise were the food, wine and flowers we found on arrival. It was unusual hot weather, but the cottage stayed cool. Also it was lovely to sit in the shade of one of the beautiful big trees that grow on the property. Our children enjoyed the trampoline, tenniscourt and big swings.
It was really nice to sit and watch the sun set over the hills.
The connection to London by train is perfect. In a good half hour you are from Tonbridge in the center of the city. A highlight for us was the visit to the Harry Potter studios in Leavesden.
We can really recommend the cottage. Katie and Andy created a really relaxed place with lots to do for children. Because of the hot weather we didn’t do as much as we wished, so we have plenty of reason to come back!

Wonderful relaxed holiday at a beautiful location
This was our first time at the Hamptons Farmhouse. We stayed with our two Kids in the Dairy Cottage: plenty of space for everybody, everything is provided for, so that we felt very comfortable. The outside premises of the Farmhouse are just stunning: Beautiful views, lots of places to sit and relax, numerous places for the Kids to Play (sand-pits, slides, Tennis court, trampolines, Little Kids houses, tree house). So the Kids can take off by themselves and the parents can relax. If you do want to get out, there are lots of Things to do and to see within 10-30mins of driving. Also, London makes a very easy day-trip from here. Overall: a Wonderful experience at a great Location with very nice hosts.

Just perfect!
We had a wonderful stay as always (4th year now) and will be back for another 2 weeks in the summer! It's absolutely the best place, and I simply can't think of any ways it could be improved. Katie, Andy and their 5 kids are so welcoming and we love the cottage, views, outdoors, animals, feeding the horses, collecting eggs, playing tennis, playing on the zip line and of course the trampoline . But the best bit for us is the daily family walk to the pub and back.

Relaxing rural location - perfect
Having read through some of the other postings for this property, I was trying to come up with something a little different to say. Its actually quite difficult as other reviewers have covered all bases so well in highlighting what is a superb property and location.
Must admit as a couple without kids, looking for a week in the UK, we were slightly put off at first by the 'child friendliness' of the advertising for this place. Actually during our week in June only one of the four cottages had children (and the family had driven all the way from Munich). If it is just a bit of peace and relaxation you are after, don't lets the kid facilities put you off. Such is the size of the property grounds there is room for all without being intrusive on any of the neighbours.
As a number of reviewers have said, the cottages are suitable for all ages, family size etc.
To get out and about you do need a car. That said there are also some nice walks that can be had from the site. A really informative welcome pack/guide is left in the room giving lots of ideas. Ordinance survey maps are also provided.
The nearest pub to walk to is the Kentish Rifleman, approx. 25 mins back down the lane. Alternatively, the walk via the fields/footpaths is much nicer. Book if you are going to the pub - it can be busy.
Two mins up the road from the property is a lavender farm. Perfect for picking up some tubs of lavender ice cream to enjoy back in the garden.
We did benefit from some particularly good English weather during our week. Long nights were also a bonus. The property would be snug and warm on a winters day .
The property met all our needs as a base for a relaxing stay. Enjoyable days out and plenty of time sat around in the gardens with a glass of wine and a book.
Very much owner managed by Katie and Andrew which clearly shows in all aspects of the business they run.
Thoroughly recommended for all.

Superb Child Friendly Holiday Accommodation
Dairy Cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is very peaceful . Perfect if you are a National Trust Member as there are so many places to visit nearby. The cottage itself was beautiful and the added little touches on arrival of flowers, fruit, coffee etc. were very much appreciated. Dairy Cottage has amazing facilities for children - the outdoor play area is near and safe for the children to explore but is not intrusive for guests staying without children. Our grandson adored the chickens and ducks that were merrily wandering the area as well as the ponies in the top field. All in all it was a perfect holiday stay. The owners of the property were very helpful and friendly. We shall be returning for a future stay.

Absoluter Glücksgriff für unseren Urlaub
Das Cottage war für uns zu 5 ideal, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, dank super Service, stilvoller Einrichtung und phantastischem Gelände, das für uns alle tolle Spiel- und Erholungsmöglichkeiten bot. In der Nähe mochten wir auch sehr die Lavendelfarm sowie "The Kentish Rifleman" mit guter Küche! Unsere Tagesausflüge nach London haben wir sehr genossen, die Lage ist dafür äußerst günstig: Obwohl man so schön auf dem Lande "residiert", ist man schnell und einfach inmitten dieser faszinierenden Weltstadt. Wir kommen sicher wieder und empfehlen jedem, hierherzukommen!

Diary Cottage - Best week of our Summer
Diary Cottage is ‘everything it says on the tin’ and so much more! We as a family needed a break into the lovely Kent Countryside over the summer and Andy and Katie’s guest retreat proved to be the perfect holiday destination – made that bit more special because of their warm hospitality.
With two young and very active boys, we needed to ensure that they were catered for first. The breathtakingly beautiful surroundings (for us adults) was also a hive of fun for the boys with a fantastic zip wire, loads of trampolines, pond with boat and other summer games. We stayed for a week and found the family preferred to stay on the grounds and have fun rather than travel in the car.
That said, we also found the Cottages well located for movie and dinner trips to Tonbridge and numerous lovely pubs in the area – many within easy walking distance. And after all the bases were covered, my wife and I had ample opportunity to enjoy the finer delights on offer – often spending hours in the sunny gazebo, drinking a cold drink while keeping one eye on the family and reading a good novel. Or relaxing in the very upmarket and well decorated cottage with everything ‘on tap’. In a sentence: Diary Cottage is sunny inside, set in a warmly welcoming farm courtyard with a hay loft treasure for two young boys. We will be back next year.

Fantastic stay at dairy cottage
Katie and Andy were the perfect hosts. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed including a lovely little gift box of goodies to save us going straight to the shops.
Our 2 yr old had a fabulous time playing on all the excellent equiptment in the grounds as well as exploring the grounds finding the animals. I would highly recommend dairy cottage.

Relaxing and great for kids
We had a really fun and relaxing week here.
There is lots for kids on site - swings, sandpits, toys, play areas - and it is really safe. Our two are aged 4 and 2. Katie and Andy were very kind, welcoming and helpful.
The house is really well situated for exploring the High Weald and Kent Downs. We loved Bodiam Castle and Standen and just generally being in some great countryside.
The cottage we stayed in was clean and well furnished. The only word of caution is regarding the second bedroom which is in the eaves up a ladder - ok for our 4 year old but not for the younger one. We knew this before arriving. It was not a problem though and our boy loved going up the ladder pretending to be a fireman!!

A Perfect English Holiday
We are a family of 3 (our son is 5years olds). This is the 3rd year we have been to Hamptons Farm for Easter. Katie and Andy are great hosts as is their whole family. Our sone gets on particularly well with theirs! We will definitely come again next year! There is so much to explore int he surrounds it doesn't get even a little bit boring. We have stayed in Little Apple Barn and Dairy Cottage and cannot decide which is better - both too good! We love having friends come and visit and we walk to the local pub. We had a bonfire evening one night and we are planning a BBQ before we leave. It's a must come.

A comfortable cottage in a great location
Dairy Cottage is set in a large estate with every convenience available. The great advantage is it is central to the exploration of houses/castles and gardens - many, at most, half an hour's drive away. The facilities are first class, Wifi is excellent, the play areas for children are delightful, and shopping is only a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Awesome getaway for the whole family.
Dairy Cottage is my favourite cottage of all the Hampton Farm cottages. I love coming here and I had a great time with my daughters. The cottage is well equipped and very cosy. The girls loved the loft. We had plenty to do and Hamptons Farm caters for everything. It is a real adventure for children and we had fun playing tennis, going on beautiful walks and we always had something to do. The scenery at the Farm is fantastic and Andy & Katy really have created a wonderful getaway resort for families. I highly recommend this venue to all families or couples who are looking for a pleasurable, entertaining and restful place to holiday. It really is worth it. Thank you Andy & Katy, you really haven't missed anything here.

Dairy Cottage war super, vorallem die Kinder liebten das Bett mit der Leiter. Es ist unglaublich gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Katie und Andy waren extrem hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt.
Es gibt überall etwas zu entdecken und alles ist wunderschön und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Kinder haben jede Menge Spaß und können sich überall frei bewegen. Wir waren überwältigt von der Atmosphäre, der Ruhe, der Schönheit der Landschaft und der Freundlichkeit der Menschen. Könnten wir mehr Punkte verteilen, würden wir es sofort tun. Eine Reise mit Kindern zur Hamptons Farm ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Uitstekende faciliteiten voor onze kinderen, op het hele terrein zijn veel faciliteiten voor hen zoals boomhutten, tafeltennis, paarden, konijnen, schommels en zelfs een tennisbaan. Het huisje is zeer comfortabel ingericht, de kinderen slapen op een entresol wat erg gezellig is. Er is een luxe badkamer en keuken. Katie en Andy leveren een welkomst pakket en een goede info map over de omgeving.
Het cottage is een goede locatie voor veel attracties in de buurt. Wij zijn ook een dagje naar London geweest. Tip: neem niet de trein maar parkeer bij de O2 Arena. (40 min).
