Kitchenette avec vraiment le strict minimum

The house is set in a quiet residential area with a stunning view of the Julian Alps. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk into town - but that’s no secret if you do your research. The room is modern and well laid out with plenty of storage options. We stayed for 4 nights so it was nice to be able to fully unpack and feel at home. We unfortunately experienced thunderstorms when we visited, but with the tv channels available and the spacious room, we never felt like we were confined. Our host welcomed us with a cold beer and gave us his expert advice on the area, circling places of interest on a map.

Although the room had been recently renovated and modernised, the rest of the house had not. Walking into the lobby felt like we were walking into someone’s house (and it was being used a storage area). We were offered the use of a washing machine on the ground floor, but it did feel like we were invading the owner’s space when trying to find it. The kitchenette was very small. We had breakfast and dinner in the apartment most days due to the location and weather, but we struggled to prepare food with the surfaces and utensils available. There was also no oven - only a hob - which limited our cooking options. Since we were there for 4 nights, we expected extra bin liners, dish towels and cleaning supplies so we could keep the room clean and fresh. We also expected fresh towels during our stay. None of these items were offered.

Comfortable, clean room and small kitchen and seating area. Nicely renovated with modern finishings. Lovely, quiet home located at the end of a street with a knock out view of the mountains. Check in was smooth and owner was welcoming and helpful, offering suggestions on how to spend our time.

Only one small thing, the room and bathroom could use more hooks 🙃

Nice apartment in a beautiful landscape, with a friendly, helpful host.

Igor is super-helpful and him and his mother, Tatiana, made us feel very welcome. We asked for a toaster: one appeared. We asked for umbrellas: two appeared. Room is spacious and has enough kit to cook meals. Shower is great, big and powerful. Location is quiet, bed is huge and comfy: we slept well. Great location if you have a car or like walking; it is a pleasant 10 minute or so walk to the lake and a few mins from big supermarket.

Nothing much. Maybe a hook to hang towels in the bathroom would improve it but basically this is a great place.
