New hotel, everything is clean The hotel owner is a lovely person, we had a problem with the hot water within half an hour the hotel owner made sure they came to fix the problem. Located in a central piazza, close to everything.

The property is immaculate, modern in a beautiful location and wonderful hosts Sebastian and Romana! They gave advice, helped with our terrible Italian and were very kind. We wish we’d stayed longer.

If you go to Lipari you have to stay at B&B Il Castello. It is in a perfect location and the owner is friendly, dedicated and goes out of her way to make sure her clients are happy and comfortable.

The location was perfect close to everything and loved the room is was clean and new and great hospitality.

The owner is very welcoming, friendly and available for any question/problem. The breakfast is really good. The room was really cosy. Great location on Lipari (near centre and harbour).

We stayed at this accommodation for 7 nights. Our room was beautiful and clean. We were offered room cleaning services everyday apart from our second day. Breakfast was basic but good - we were served chocolate croissants, jam, cheese, bread, orange juice and tea (our host asked us for our breakfast preferences upon arrival, i.e. if we wanted ham, black/white tea, etc). The location is superb. You have to walk uphill for a bit to get to the accommodation from the main center where the shops and restaurants are but this wasn't an issue for us. It's just a 5 to 10 min walk from the shops/restaurants/bus stop/port. Staff were mostly friendly (there was just an occasion where they seemed quite offended when we kindly asked whether they were going to clean our room - because they hadn't cleaned it the day before). Otherwise they were nice and gave us some recommendations on what to do/where to go.

The only downside of our stay was that when we returned to the accommodation one day - after 7 hours of kayaking in Vulcano island - we found that all of the water in the accommodation had completely cut out. There was no water anywhere (i.e. no shower, toilet didn't flush, no sink water, etc). Nobody had notified us of it ahead of time. We called the host and were told that they had only realized it then themselves and didn't know how long it'd take to fix. They knocked on our door an hour later and advised that they were working on it and that it would be fixed within two to three hours. We stayed up until late so that we could wait for it to be fixed and could shower after such a long day of exercising in the heat but ended up having to go to sleep as we realized it hadn't been fixed that night. It was fixed the following morning by about 9am. The staff reassured us that this was due to the island not having its own supply of water and that the whole area of the accommodation was affected that day by this. The shower was also cold on most days (we were only able to have a warm shower once during our 7 night stay).

Everything was nice,according to Booking page. The residence is completely new with a nice decoration, reception was very kind and breakfast delicious.

The walk up to the street was fatigating with luggage, taxe a taxi!
