Beautiful property and great location.
Asked for housekeeping services every day we were there. We were told no problem and then the housekeeping services never came. We interacted with 4 staff members. The 2 young people at night were wonderful! The man and woman at breakfast and during the day were moody and brusk.

This B&B is beautiful and in a great location. It has a warm feeling and decorated like a home out of a Hallmark movie. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Above all was the hospitality Brandon and Susie provided. They were friendly and accommodating. It is evident they value their customers and strive to provide a memorable experience. This was our first time here but plan to return next December and bring the whole family. Thank you!
N/A - Everything was perfect.

The staff, the staff and the staff. Friendly and caring innkeepers. They worked hard to go above and beyond
Nothing but if I had to offer one suggestion, softer less lumpy pillows
4.7
The Primrose is in a good location and the staff were helpful. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were very good.
I expected a nicer property for the price. It’s a charming house but it’s tired and could use a renovation. Again, for the price I was expecting more.

The whole experience was delightful. The room was very clean and decorated tastefully and the chef created amazing breakfasts. A nice quiet area with beautiful gardens and porches with rocking chairs. Walking distance to downtown. EVERYTHING!!
Nothing. Just wished we could have stayed longer.
4.7
Lovely place, great breakfast. Walk to everywhere.
4.7
The breakfast was amazing and always included a choice of sweet or savory options with not repeats during our week stay! Tea time everyday was also a nice surprise!
Our room was right off the kitchen so there was a small amount of noise, but it was minimal and did not effect our stay!
4.7
Wonderful amenities, huge spacious bedroom, comfortable eating and lounging areas, and well-located property.
nothing!

Stayed at The Primrose a couple of weeks ago and could not possibly overstate just how much my husband and I loved this place. The Inn itself is beautiful, the rooms and common rooms all decorated so tastefully, and the location was fantastic - a short drive to Acadia, or a 10 minute or less walk into the center of Bar Harbor. The breakfasts were incredible, and the extra tea/coffee/snacks provided were always welcomed. What made this place all the more special was the staff, especially Jill and Rebecca who absolutely made our stay with their warmth, hospitality, and patience with my many questions! We were there at the end of the off-season/very beginning of the busy season so it was still quiet in town, which personally we loved. Still plenty open, and made it that much more enjoyable in the park without the crowds. We will 100% be staying there again should we ever find ourselves in that part of the world again.
Having to leave!

The staff was accommodating, friendly and provided impeccable service. The breakfast was fresh, well made, came out of the kitchen hot! The room (king suite) was spacious and clean, nicely furnished and decorated.
It would be helpful to have electrical outlets near the bed. Ours was behind the bed so it was challenging getting to it to plug in sleep equipment and electronic equipment.
4.7
The breakfast was 5 stars, something you’d get at an expensive cafe or restaurant in town
Nothing could have been better, we can not wait to get back when they are open for the spring season

Very well decorated. Grounds are beautiful. very well appointed. Absolutely lovely property.
We were in room 1. it is at the front of the building and faces Main Street so it was noisy.
4.7
Beautiful inn with great staff, food and location.
Could hear others in the other rooms very easily
4.7
The breakfast was absolutely amazing as were the baked goods that they put out during the day. They had fresh coffee all day and were extremely friendly and thoughtful. The rooms were very clean! The staff really went out of there way to make sure you are comfortable with great recommendations of what to eat and where to go. I could not recommend this place more!!!

Very charming and cute. Jodi was a fantastic host : smiling, helpful and always here to help or assist. She made all the diference and we would come back just for her warm and professional welcoming. Delicious homemade cookies for tea time and tasty fresh breakfast, different every day.

Jill the front desk clerk, is the shining star of this place! Friendly, helpful and hard working!! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect!
Very cold in our room, hard to control the temp of ac.
Smells from kitchen penetrated our room.
4.7
great room and breakfast
consider adding wine to the tea time and a fire pit on the grounds

Very spacious and roomy suite. Tastefully decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Helpful staff. Convenient to town.
One small suggestion: The room could use a desk.
4.7
Breakfasts were outstanding!
The room did not have a closet. The room was a little small but worked out okay.

Breakfast was delicious, with a choice between a frittata or French toast; beautiful fruit cup and cheesy hash browns on the side; juice and coffee or tea. A great start to the day, as was a time sitting on the porch, looking at the beautiful gardens. The Primrose is beautifully located, curated, and styled. Though you are very close to the bustle of Bar Harbor's boutiques and restaurants, the property is a study in quiet elegance.
I liked everything about my stay, from the macaroons and tea upon arrival to the hearty breakfast before checking out.

Great sit-down breakfast service in the morning.
A car parked on the premises outside our unit had an alarm go off every 5 minutes for well over an hour, which made it difficult to sleep.

Stayed 4 nights. Staff was delightful, and breakfasts excellent. Great location. We walked everywhere in town. Only used our car for parts of Acadia National Park. Loved our garden view, the building and design, grounds and garden, and that we could sit outside under shelter. Nice that we could walk to get to some Acadia hikes. We would stay at this inn again.
Our room was neither cleaned, nor trash emptied during our 4-day stay. Had to ask for fresh towels after three days. Our first impression on entering room 10 was a that the carpet was dirty and stained. Bottom of the tub was stained and uneven under foot. We tried to sit in the unusual room chairs. We never sat in them again and used the bed instead.
4.7
Tasty home-cooked breakfast. We had pumpkin pancakes one day and frittata with potato hash another (they always offer a sweet and savory option). The place offers an afternoon tea with baked goods which was a lovely extra. Overall the place is very well kept, the staff around Taylor and Brendon is accommodating, knowledgeable and very friendly. We stayed in a room for 3 adults, which was very spacious. Every room has their own parking spot which made logistics very easy. The Primrose is located in walking distance from all the main restaurants and the Marina in Bar Harbor which was nice for evenings, and we thought it was the perfect location to stay in to explore Acadia National Park during the day.
The extra cost to be able to have a room that can sleep 3 rather than just 2 persons was quite a lot and it would have been great to just have the option to have an extra bed in a standard double room. Then again, the room was lovely.

Breakfast each morning was amazing. They catered to everyone's needs. Snacks in the afternoon were great after a long day of hiking.
AC in the room was okay, didnt work as well. But other than that it was great.
