They thought of all the details! From the room to the grounds with swings and games to the breakfast! We loved our stay! Awesome place on property to hang out with a fire pit, swings and games! Also space inside to hang out.

The staff make this motel exceptional - nothing was too much trouble and any issues were dealt with quickly and with care. All staff gave a cheery hello and reception staff remembered who we were.
We loved walking from the motel into Acadia national park and also into Bar Harbor.
A mechanical issue which affected our room was swiftly investigated and we were moved without fuss to an unaffected room. The renovated retro rooms are great but it’s not style over substance as the beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious with a microwave and mini fridge which we found really useful. We were hesitant in staying 4 nights at a motel but would come back in a flash - and we are fussy!
Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight as guests hovered around the toasters causing big queues - moving the toasters to the central island might help. Staff were excellent at replenishing food and cleaning up. Top tip is to go to breakfast early - before 8.30am!

All staff was extremely kind and helpful. Care in all they do. Good facilities and amenities. Activities for families as well. Fun motel experience and with everything there reminded me of full service motels when I was a child.

Abbiamo soggiornato in un cottage suddiviso in 4 stanze, con il parcheggio di fronte alla camera e il bosco dietro. La camera era grande e silenziosa e anche l'insonorizzazione era ottima dato che non abbiamo mai sentito rumori dalle altre stanze.
La posizione è buona, a pochi minuti dall'entrata dell'Acadia e circa mezz'ora a piedi dal centro di Bar Harbor.
La colazione è ottima e abbondante e le signore alla reception sono state gentilissime.
Prezzo buono considerato che Bar Harbor è sempre molto cara

My room was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The breakfast had plenty of options. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Bar Harbor Motel exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to book here again.

Very basic breakfast as expected, location to close to Bar Harbor main street but need to drive, Acadia entrance is 8 to 12min depending on the side one uses. Family room is good in terms of space. Housekeeping did a good job and daily housekeeping was available. Nice spread out motel with 4 rooms in each building at ground level.
Even for a very basic breakfast it can be easily be better with slightly higher quality baked goods . Mattresses sink in, need to be replaced

We loved only having a few neighbors, and parking at the door. The property set up was well laid out. We took a walking trail right outside our room!

Perfect location, close to Acadia National Park without being in the bustle of downtown Bar Harbor. Room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We were in the last building up the hill, and we didn't hear a soul for the entire time we were there, which was perfect. Staff was friendly, great stay!
Breakfast was good, but I could have used a little more variety since we stayed multiple nights. But that was a very minor complaint, everything else was great!

Our family has been doing road trips for over 10 years so I would say we have stayed in a fair share of hotels/motels. We all agreed that Bar Harbor Motel has been our favorite so far! From the adorable lobster towels, deliciously HUGE chocolate chip cookies, board games, and super clean room we enjoyed everything about the motel. The staff was super friendly and very helpful! We loved EVERYTHING about it! My husband never comments on the hotels/motels as he is not that picky but this one he said, "Did you right that one down? We are definately staying there again when we come back." Thank you to all at Bar Harbor Motel for everything!! Outstanding!!!!

There was a large selection of offerings. Best banana nut muffins ever. No hot offerings but certainly enough variety and take out ability.
Hot offerings would be nice but probably unrealistic with staffing shortages and cost of food.
