Genießen Sie es, die Delfine vom "Czech Mate" aus zu beobachten, der einen Privatstrand zum Mississippi Sound / Bay hat! Unser Haus ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom West End Beach entfernt. Genießen Sie aus jedem Fenster einen malerischen Blick auf das Wasser (Golf & Sound)! Dieses schöne Haus verfügt über Granit, Fliesenboden, Zierleisten und einen offenen Grundriss. Entspannen Sie auf der hinteren Veranda und beobachten Sie die Tierwelt und die Boote an der wunderschönen Bucht oder von der Vorderseite des Hauses aus, indem Sie die Wellen des Golfs von Mexiko beobachten und hören. Nur wenige Schritte zum Strand des Sounds und zum Golf. Sie können im Sound direkt hinter dem Haus Kajak fahren. Ein Radweg führt vom West End durch die Stadt. Sie können Ihre eigenen Fahrräder mitbringen oder eines auf der Straße mieten. Es gibt 4 Schlafzimmer für 10 Personen (3 Queensize-Betten, 2 Einzelbetten und 2 Zustellbetten). 2 Badezimmer, wobei das Hauptbad eine ebenerdige Dusche hat. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt. Haustiere erlaubt (maximal 2 Hunde und nicht erstattbar). Die Gebühr für Haustiere beträgt 75 USD pro Hund bei 2 Hunden. 100 Dollar für einen Hund. Rauchen ist nicht erlaubt. Es gibt 5 Fernseher (1 in jedem Schlafzimmer und 1 im großen Raum mit DVD-Player). Der Esstisch bietet Platz für 6 und es gibt 4 Barhocker an der Frühstücksbar. Die Mississippi Sound / Bay Seite hat gute Angelmöglichkeiten und Delfine werden oft sowohl vom Golf als auch vom Sound aus gesichtet. We had 4 21 year old girls and 2 26 year olds with my husband and me on this trip. We had no internet service for 5 days and hardly missed it! The landlord had games, DVDs, and books galore at the rental house. The landlord had really fast fiber optic internet service installed while we were still there so that should not be an issue for anyone else. Being on the bayside was wonderful because there were red flags on the gulfside on 6 of the 7 days we were there. We saw dolphins while we were in the water. There were lots of fish jumping right out of the water also. There’s also an oyster farm right out in the bay, which was really neat.

Home is in a great location. We enjoyed being able to alternate going to to bay or beach side. Lots of games available to play, kayaks to borrow, and roll a way beds. Sleeping arrangements accommodated our large family well. We had an issue with one shower having lots of mold and mildew but the washing machine was the biggest concern. The towels all smelled really bad when they became damp. This is probably because the door on the front loading machine wasn’t left open. We didn’t feel comfortable washing laundry in the machine with the mold all along the inside seal of the washer. The owners were quick to respond and sent someone to clean the shower and the standing water in the washing machine between the seal and tub; however, the mold couldn’t be removed without replacing the inside seal. This didn’t occur before we left so we weren’t able to wash anything. A washing machine/dryer is a big must for our large family when traveling on vacation so this was a disappointment. The owners are very responsive and did get the initial concerns addressed 3 days into our week long stay but that still didn’t allow us to wash laundry since the necessary repair wasn’t done. Other cleanliness issues included mold under the rims of sinks and in the kitchen sprayer as well as dirty skillets in cabinets. The pots/pans are needing replaced so they are difficult to clean when non stick coating has been scratched up. The home is in a nice location and maintained but housekeeping needs addressed

We enjoyed our stay at the Czech Mate! The house was clean and comfortable, we had close access to the gulf and bay, and the west end beach. Very quiet and calm.

We enjoyed the house and everything that was available. Only downside was due to the storm the road flooded and we couldn’t get out for several hours.

I can’t say enough great things about this location. The house was even nicer than the pictures. It was so easy to walk to either beach and made for a great vacation for our family. We typically went to the gulf side in the mornings and the sound side in the evenings to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There were plenty of beach towels and bathroom towels. The beds were comfortable and the setup was great for our family. We also enjoyed the selection of board games. I can’t say enough great things! 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful week at Czechmate. The pictures certainly didnt do justice to the property. The house was perfect with amazing views. The front and back porches were larger than anticipated. Communication with Joe and Cosette was so easy and they were quick to reply about check-in and all other info. Although, except for a couple quick messages to locate items, we didn't speak because the house was so well outfitted. We definitely look forward to returning to the island in general and Czechmate, specifically!

It was perfect for what we were looking for. We were surprised that we actually enjoyed the bay side more than the ocean side. The bay side had shallow water and was much smoother than the ocean side. Our 'littles' spent many happy hours playing in the sand and water. The house amenities were adequate for our stay -plenty of dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towels, etc. Communication was great. We had a family emergency that entailed adjusting our dates, and the owners were gracious and accommodating. We would very highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Perfect spot with the bay in the back yard and the beach is just a short walk across the street. The steps were alot for my elderly parents but over all it was a great stay and very clean! Had everything we needed! Would definitely stay here again

What a beautiful home. I just cannot say enough. It was immaculately clean, well-kept and ready for us as soon as we walked in the door. There was games and toys available for my kiddos along with gates for both the front and back decks so that they could go outside whenever they wanted to without risk falling down the steps. We were just steps away from the Gulf as well as the Sound, including our own little private oasis beach on the Sound side. Absolutely fantastic.
There were clear instructions given for check-in and check-out along with details on the fridge in case we forgot anything. Communication was fantastic and any time I had a question I received an answer with no wait. I would highly recommend this property for anyone considering visiting this community.

This was our second time staying there! It was just as great the second time as the first! It had everything we needed, a great location for enjoying the beach, and loved enjoying the quiet island life as well. It feels like home away from home while we're there. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with. Have even recommended this property to our friends!

Welcome surprise on opening the door. Have stayed at many locations with rentals and this was our best. Perfect location. Dog friendly. booked for next year already and Molly was a gem.

This was the perfect area to stay close to the beach which we found tins of shells even a 6 inch one. Not much on island but dose have about half dozen shops for tourists. Seen a dolphin on last night of stay. Overall very good experience.

This is a very lovely vacation spot. We were there to see family for Christmas. The house had everything we needed. I invited my parents and siblings over for dinner. We had such a nice time walking on the beach and spending time together there. We had plenty of room for all of us to relax after the chaos of the holidays. We will be back when possible.

Very comfortable, great kitchen and laundry facilities. Owners very good at communicating. There are 5 tvs and a DVD player in the family room, but if you want to use your streaming services bring a fire stick or a similar device. The wifi does support that- no annoying buffering or connection problems.Bay access great, beach access not quite as easy but doable. Would recommend 👍

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the beach this week! The weather was incredible, and the home is so perfectly located for the perfect breeze between the gulf and the bay. It truly brings the feel of the island into the home. The beds are so comfortable and the house is very well furnished to suit our needs. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying the dolphins in the gulf is a perfect way to start your morning. Sitting on the back deck watching the sunset is a perfect way to end a day on the island. We have already booked our return trip in April 2024!

The property was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and in a perfect location. It’s quaint, quiet, and we loved having access to the bay, ocean, and west end beach. My boys also enjoyed taking the kayaks out in the bay.

This is a beautiful and well maintained home on the bay side in walking distance to west end beach. The home had all the amenities needed available for your stay. Towels, bed linens, hand soap and cleaning supplies were available though we did bring our own. Cookware and utensils were on hand. We made use of the crock pot and made a delicious shrimp and grits. We also utilized the charcoal grill as well as the beautiful sitting area under the house. Our fur baby felt like home here. Thank you so much for allowing us a respite from work life in your little paradise!

We took our 3 kids (4, 2 and 4mo) along with our friends and their teenage daughter down for a trip. The boys wanted to fish, the girls wanted to tan and enjoy the beach, the kids wanted to play and see some cool marine life. Boy did this serve on all accounts! The location was great for beach access to both sides, the property was clean, and the layout of the house served perfectly for 2 families. Everyone had their own space but still plenty of space for everyone to hang together as well. Lots of games and sand toys we didn’t plan for but were happy to see available upon arrival, so we didn’t miss out on anything. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable. Plentiful number of books, games, movies, and beach activity equipment. The only drawback, you need to bring a firestick, roku, or streaming device to watch anything other than dvds or regular cable. Wasn't a problem for me, but some in the family wanted this. The owners were great in their communications with me. I would definitely lease this place again.

Our family absolutely loves the trip. The location is great. We walked across the street to enjoy the ocean and when we wanted calmer water, we went behind the house. Everything was great. We would love to do it again. Communication back and forth was excellent and very prompt. Incredible trip.

The house was perfect for us. We love being on the sound side of things. Our dog(young beagle) loved being able to run around which she could not do on the beach side. There are "barriers" to prevent our pup from escaping and yet she could enjoy being outside with us.
On the west side of the island, there is much less traffic which is nice. The streets flood when there is rain but they are passable. Early morning walks on the nearby public West beach are delightful-there is actually a beach there!
Great communication with Molly. Kitchen was well stocked. we brought most of our food and cooked-everything we needed was there. Would go back!

This house albeit looks small from the outside, is a great size on the inside. I was pleasantly surprised by the space. The property is extremely clean, decks are a little on the small side. No streaming services as the tb needed an update, but would not connect to the WiFi to connect. Beach chairs are camping chairs, so suggest if you want true beach chairs, bring your own. Ice maker would get clogged if you switched from water to ice, but easily fixed if you pull the ice out of the door. Towels are a little on the thinner side. Overall for the price, was a great find.

This place is truly a hidden gem. The pictures do not do it justice as to how close the ocean and the bay actaully are. We have stayed in beach homes before and this one was the most fully furnished and equipped home we ever stayed in. The place was exceptionally clean, also. If you are looking for a quiet beach town and a beach house to stay in, this one is it!

We liked this location. all is calming and relaxing. We tried to rent for next year but already taken. so we went with another home in the area. Plenty of room for all 8 of us. House was in good clean shape as it should be . Bring your own knife sharpener. Knifes are dull. But all else it is a good place to be

The Czech Mate was the same as we left it and remembered from last year. Very clean and well equipped for any of your needs at the beach or in the kitchen.

We absolutely love being here. It is peaceful. The island is hospitable and gracious. Our dog is welcomed and treated well. The home is the perfect size for a family of 5+ pets. The home is up-to-date and comfortable and cozy. Perfect access to all beaches. Enjoy the history and warmth of this island. The homeowners are gracious and kind.

Can't say enough great things about this property! I'd say it's better than advertised. From cleanliness to decor to supplies in the kitchen, the house was great. As we brought our dogs, the gates on the porches were ingenious and so perfect. Location is at the end of the island, which in my opinion has the best views. Watching the tending of the sustainable oyster beds in the bay was really cool. We saw dolphins while kayaking in the bay, birds, crabs, sooo many dragonflies and butterflies, and even a gecko on the porch. We enjoyed morning sunshine in the front of the house, and afternoons in the back. While there is truth to another reviewer saying you can't connect to Netflix or prime, we avoided this problem by bringing a laptop and hdmi cable, and had no issues, so I'd advise that to others if you plan to end your evening with a show or movie. If you like quiet, nature, and are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle, this is an amazing place to stay.
We had an issue with the clothes dryer while we were there (turns out vent was just clogged with sand from the season of visitors and it shut off for safety) but Molly was responsive and got us in touch with the repairman so we could plan to be at the house. If something unexpected had to happen, it went about as smoothly as you could have asked for.
P.S. Got married on West End beach while we were there!! It turned out as beautiful as we hoped and planned. We definitely had some big wind from Hurricance Ian hitting FL, but that didn't get us down; we embraced mother nature, and watching the kite surfers that came out as a result was awesome! I even think they added some cool color to the background of some of our photos.
